As someone who reverse swings daily in the pitch, I know that it's impossible to reverse swing a ball that is only used for 2 overs..
In my experience, the ball should be balled about 40-43 overs before even attempting to reverse swing...
And btw the no. 1 ball was an excellent inswinger but I don't understand how to managed to polish the ball so much in just 2 overs of play...
Kinda looks like sanding if you ask me or they spent 15-20 minutes shining the ball first...
Either way, could be possible due to the pitch and the wind and climate factors...
But Zaheer's delivery was the best in my view..
For those who are complaining, to reverse swing a ball you should put the ball in the full slot of the pitch. Wasim Akram bowled a yorker that delivery which does not give the ball too much room to reverse swing.

Not to brag or something, but I have played cricket since I was old enough to hold a bat.
Even though I'm no Wasim Akram, I do reverse swing due to my constant astonishment of swnging and practising to make it happen.
Doesnt it feel amazing when the ball is balled at a 140 kph and still changes its trajectory mid air??
I feel, it is one of the toughest type of delivery to play as a batsman.

I'm not sure you understand what reverse swing is. It's not whether it turns in towards the batsman or not, it's about whether the ball swings towards the rough side or the shiny side.
Conventional swing sees the ball swing away from the shiny side, towards the rough side. If you want that swing to go in towards the batsman, the rough side of the ball needs to be towards the batsman's leg side as you let go (the seem should be vertical or at a slight angle, e.g. 11 or 1 o’clock position especially if the ball is brand new). If you want to swing the ball away from the batsman, put the rough side of the ball towards the batsman's off side. So inswing and outswing is determined simply by which way around you hold the ball.
For reverse swing, the ball behaves in the opposite way - the batsman sees the rough side of the ball is on the off side and might expect it to swing outwards, but in fact reverse swing pushes the ball back in towards the batsman, swinging towards the shiny side. This is because with an older ball, even the shiny side isn't as smooth as it was when it was new, so there is still some turbulence around the air on that side meaning air is slower to pass than on the really scuffed other side. This is particularly likely to happen on very hard, dry pitches, where the repeat bouncing of the ball scuffs the ball up more than on a softer, grassier pitch, which is why reverse swing is more common in Pakistan in particular
As an example, with Steyn's ball at 3:06 you can clearly see it is swinging towards the rough side of the ball. This is conventional swing, not reverse swing. Others in this video are conventional swing too.

Respectfully, this is a stupid comment. The reason people are saying the final ball is not reverse swing is because Anderson bowled it in the second over. If you know anything about reverse swing, you know it begins when the ball is old.
Another telltale sign that this is not reverse swing is that it lacks the characteristic late movement of a reverse swinging ball, which is entirely what makes it difficult to play and why many batsmen in this compilation were bowled leaving.

@@cyber_darkknight7799 The thing is, you cannot reverse swing with the new ball. Physics deems it to be impossible. This is just Anderson doing one of his classical big inswinging deliveries.
If you don't believe me, check the position of the shiny side during the delivery. It's position away from the direction of swing, which indicates that the ball is swinging traditionally.

There are better proponents of reverse swing. I don't consider Brett lee and Shoaib Akhtar skillful enough compared to his seniors the 2 Ws or even Sarfraz Nawaz. You missed out on Danny Morrison and Javagal Srinath.

This phenomenon is known as reverse swing, and it occurs when the ball is in the air.
On the other hand, an inswinger is a different type of delivery. In inswing, the seam of the ball is pointed towards the fine leg. When the bowler releases the ball, they apply backspin to it. Depending on the conditions and atmosphere, the ball can move slightly in the air. In cold conditions, it tends to move more. So, in the context you mentioned, it was just an inswing ball with backspin delivered by the swing legend, and the conditions helped him to generate slight movement in the air.
