However india has produced one of the best bowlers like anil kumble, prasad and others. Dont consider this video having a comparison with others because we are here to talk about swing. Two W's were real deadly at their respective peak.

Kind of peak waqar Younis had was never heard or seen again. He was a demon of a fast bowler for first 5 years. Absolute devastating
I think he gets lost due to the Shadow of wasim. His peak before his back injury was like no other (89-94), he was easily 150+ with swing and toe crushers and majority of his outs were bowled or lbw, after injury his pace went down and he relied on swing and seam more

he did not have the variety of Wasim Akram, his outstanding skills with the ball were heavily dependant on speed and reverse swing. As he began to lose speed, and ball tempering rules in cricket became stricter, his effectiveness went away.
I wonder why is Wasim Akram not being used by icc or even pcb ...what a legend..the greatest fast bowler ever is on a tv show rather than being used to develop the Game.

Absolutely why PCB or other cricket boards utilizes Wasim or waqar experiences. Such valuable lessons he gave to pathan during 2003-04 India tour to Pakistan, and pathan knows both in and outswing sometimes reverse also. Must utilise theirs experience.

In 2009 at our Cricket academy in Kolkata Wasim sir once came for 3 days workshop . He explained how to Bowl reverse swing to the bowlers & also tell how to read the reverse swing. Trust me as a batsman picking up reverse swing is no joke, because you can't read it until the ball released from the bowler hand. You need to have very good reaction time.
We asked also Wasim who is the best ever batsman who read his reverse swing maximum number of time ? We are expecting Sachin or Lara ..
But very surprisingly he said it was Gilchrist and Ganguly who used to pick his reverse swing maximum number of times. Because both the batters have the quality to read the ball length very quickly.
Both had quite a bit of success against Wasim

The seam position for reverse swing , is opposite to direction of the ball ,I mean for in swing , ball is aligned to offside , for out swing ,the ball is aligned inward ? I'm just asking ? Would be nice , if share your knowledge being a professional cricketer

Actually i am from india and as wasim bhai mentioned that he used his index finger for outswing actually i have also that naturally people of my academy used to call me that tu ungli mar raha hai at that time i didn't realise but now i have realised that how i actually able to do that outswing and out seam movement off the pitch and yeah i am also a left arm pacer and i have also an high arm action

Waqar Yunus or Wasim Akram k hote hue great Aqib Javed tak ko moka nahi mila tha. Wo bhi best tha, lekin Wasim aur Waqar jesa best bowler aur un jesa best fixer bhi nahi tha.

I was 8 years old in 92. I am Indian and I became a fan of Sachin at that age but after India were kicked out I started supporting Newzealand and after the semifinal, Pakistan, coz I hated England I saw the world cup final and even though Iwas 8 I still remember Wasims bowling, he felt like a possessed man in his final spell. I still cherish the memories.

Waseem and for that matter Waqar are definitely THE greatest bowlers the game has ever seen ... They didn't only outperform by the standards of the era, they added to those for eras to come. Few sportsmen can claim that level of impact on their respective sport. Legends/GOATS through and through.
When I was growing up, Tendulkar, Akram and Warne were my favorite players. I could just watch them play non stop.

I saw once jusprit Bumrah tried out swing bowling for the first time got great control and wickets. Forgot about that tournament. After that I couldn’t see again. Sometimes priorities changes like speed with natural swing or new swing with less control and speed. Wasim Akram had to practice 6 months to get expertise, we should respect their efforts. Waqar and Wasim bowling is treat to watch and their yorkers mind blowing. Highlight is reverse swing with old ball what a skill. 👌👌👌👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Having played with Mohammad Akram. He mentioned around in year 2000 that being an international player said that he never saw Wasim Akram outside of match or nets! Nothing comes without practise and hardwork! Talent is there but legends are made from extremely hardwork 💪🏼🏏🇵🇰🌹❤🙂
