Your drawings are beautiful! I look forward to watching them. I'm glad I found your channel. I'm getting much closer to the 50 group and am embarking on a career changes, so I am thrilled to not be the only one! :) We need more channels for people our age. :)
That was the reason why I went back to school. I took a surface design course and I had to re-learn illustrator and photoshop. I want to get my bachelor degree in illustration. That’s my goal for 2024. I have a portfolio of my work. I need to add more pieces to my portfolio.
That’s great! Sounds like you are in a really good place. I think I need some formal training as well. You are way ahead of me. Wishing you all the best! ❤️
Found your channel when TH-cam recommended the video that blew up. I’ve been enjoying your other content as well. As another 50ish creative, I’ve enjoyed your insights and definitely share some of the same thoughts. Looking forward to watching what is sure to be a successful journey. 😊
Thank you for a lovely video! I was so inspired by your last few videos and I agree with so many things you said in this one. Two years ago I started pursuing art (mostly watercolor) for my own enjoyment. I was starting at zero with no artistic training and it can feel like a long journey at times. But I definitely sense the difference it has added to my life…the joy of creativity. While I try to do something creative every day, it may not actually be putting paint on paper. If I am not painting, I try to seek inspiration from somewhere - Pinterest, books, videos, etc. Also, living and working in a small home means that I cannot leave my supplies out. So I can completely relate with not wanting to take out your supplies every day. Please continue to share your license journey/research. I originally had no intention of selling my art. But I have been thinking lately about how much I enjoy fabric prints and repeating patterns. If there is a way for me to build up a body of work, then I could try to have this as a side gig that helps me put money aside for retirement. And let it be something that I can do long term. Lots to ponder and I enjoy hearing what other creatives are doing. Congrats on your YT views!
Sending you love and we'll wishes from hamilton Ontario. We are watching you and we will support your dream. So excited for you. If you ever consider doing fairs let me know. No income stream left unturned.. all the best to you.
Hi, I’m in Hamilton too! Lol. 🙋🏼♀️ I have definitely not ruled out art fairs down the road when I get to a point where I have enough physical items to sell. I actually love doing live events. 😊
I did a sample order for Print on Demand and did not like how the items came in. It was very ‘functional’. I decided to order some items from a POD company and send it out myself. I too love the personal touch. A customer mentioned that it felt like she was receiving a present. Following you in IG. Happy Creating!
Yay another Michelle Jozina video! Haha, I am always so excited to watch. I would really like a video on art licencing actually, that's a great idea! And also to hear more about greeting cards as that was my idea to do as well. I so enjoy being on this journey with you, also something I really like about your videos is how peaceful you are, I could watch or listen to you all day, lile the colours, sound of your voice, everything lol, it's very peaceful. I was also talking to my friend about hpw inspiring it is to hear someone be inspired. Lots of care, all the best, Dasha 💗💗💗
Hi Dasha! Your comments always make me smile! 🥰 I will definitely be doing a video on art licensing in August, stay tuned! I will also cover greeting cards in my studio vlogs as I get to that part and figure it out as I go. Lol. 😊
I love your videos, and yes, you HAVE helped me!!! You are a big reason that I uploaded my very first video today. I mean, let's do this!! 🎉 I even mentioned you in my little video. (If you don't have time to watch the whole thing, I mentioned you (and two other encouragers) at about the 10:25 mark.🥰) Also, the art licensing, I'm very interested in that as well, but gosh, it feels like that dream is sooooo far away!! 🙏
That is so exciting! Congrats on uploading your first video! I’m so proud of you! 🤩 I will definitely try and watch it when I have a moment. It makes my heart burst to know I have inspired you even a little bit. 🥰 keep up the great work! ❤️🎉
I think there will always be a place for original art and illustrations. If companies want AI art they will make their own and if they want original art they will buy from artists. I think there is a place for both in the industry. 😊
Hi Michelle. There's so much that i can relate to in this video that i could comment for hours 🙃 but you're a really busy lady so i won't ramble. Suffice to say that from the opening comment where you pushed yourself to go get another card through to you starting to get well deserved recognition - bravo 👏 Ps: every time I watch at you at home i wonder if that black and white double plant print is yours and maybe this is too personal but are you also living alone? Hugs from France.
Hi Valerie 🙋🏼♀️ the black double flower print is one of mine! Thanks for asking. 😊 From when I was selling digital abstract wall art in my Etsy shop. And yes, I am happily divorced living with my son. ❤️😊
GET IT! This is awesome. Keep up the good work! But also don't become so obsessed by the numbers that it takes the joy out of creation for you. Not that I know that from personal experience. I've just heard that from other TH-camrs, which makes me an expert, no? Ha ha!
Haha, if you are seeing new videos from me then I am still enjoying it. 😊 I have become really good at not doing things I don’t enjoy anymore. I am just here for the creativity and connecting with others in the same boat. Enjoying the journey so far. 😊❤️
Wow, I want to b4 your friend. I am in the same place in my life. I hav3e so many ideas and little contacts to help bring my dreams to life. Let me know how to be here for you.

I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on you art biz decisions. I'm also interested in licensing, so i hope you do a video about it.
I appreciate hearing your thought process as you navigate becoming an artist.
Your videos are going to blow up sooner than later, the best to you.
Thank you! 🥰
Love the realness of this video and of you! I feel inspired already and am excited to watch your journey! ❤
Thank you so much 🤗❤️

I don't have a portfolio either. Although i have a body of work, i could pull from i think. But i don't know how to put a portfolio together.
I missed the Human connection also when I was trying dropshipping but I really thought as an introvert it would have been the best thing for me. 😂
It’s funny what we learn when we try things out. 😅

Just stated following your instagram, keep following your dreams.
What about businesses using AI for simple and basic product design? Eliminating beginners who are getting started.

Are you going to use Procreate or Adobe Illustrator?
I’m currently just using procreate as I’m still in the creating phase but I think I will try and learn photoshop and/or illustrator eventually. 😊
