Good plan. You won't regret the Xbox One X and 4k tv (make sure it has hdr and is uhd premium certified to get the best hdr experience). The first red dead was also enhanced for X and it looks gorgeous in 4k
I just have to point out that most people won’t experience load times when the season changes in the full game. Seasons will only change once a week at a specific time for everyone world wide. So the load times when changing seasons will not be an issue.
I don't ever buy a game new with all dlc but I did for this one because they have never let me down. Forza Horizon 2 and 3 are still super fun for me. Hyped!

@@VeritronX According to DF there's no higher graphics settings in FM7 on PC. Yes, you can do 8K res with 16x AQFAA but that's it. You don't get HDR though which is far better than even 16K res with perfect AA.
it'll be a long wait but with how these games are handled bing bing bing bing every year horizon or Mainline entry if you wanna be current there's no real time to enjoy em, 12 months then next game and if you're like me generally I like both sides the open world and circuit racing but if Forza 7 is as meh as the last 2 forget it, I'm currently playing off and on Horizon 2 and people were right it was better than The Crew but The Crew was cool if for one thing, car customization, why not get deep into that for Horizon games?? meh also for both games the vehicle list could be better, why not throw in more offroad cars and motorbikes even?? it just feels like a waste to have most of the cars be slower than dirt or stuff nobody wants...like the VW bus good gods why?? or like that massive big panel van?? why not add a semi truck at that point cus can you get any bigger?? narrow ass road in italy and mr van guy takes up the whole road.... IDK, I have too many issues with the series, they need to slow down and put more care into these things cus it's starting to feel like just another product like COD, what little care is put in isn't as appreciated cus of how much we still have to invest each game....it's BS lol don't mean to be an ass but that's how I feel and I am there with ya, waiting for game pass/gold inclusion lolz
@@CarlitoJuanito It doesn't end exactly but once you completed all the events there's nothing else to do other than cruise around but you can drive around the map as much as you want I think. Only a small portion of the map is available in the demo though, if you go too far you'll be reset and told this area is locked in the demo.
Great review, some things to note are the seasons last a week and the game launches in summer. You commented on sound being the same as FH3 and mostly that’s correct however the crackle and pops in the exhaust are re done and not the same basic 3 noises from previous titles. The crackle on decel for example is awesome

Forza Horizon 3 was the reason I got a Xbox in addition to PS4. There's just nothing else like it, on any system or even PC (of course you can also play it on PC). Closest experience to it is maybe GTA5 and their open world and online races. Or maybe one of the recent open world Need for Speeds but I haven't tried those
This game blew me away last night. Playground continues to make this game more and more gorgeous and I love the way the handling feels. 60fps mode is a blast on the X.
played the demo, and I was really impressed with those graphics and optimization. microsoft has done some really good job with this one. I was getting avg of 80fps on ultra preset with a gtx 1060 6gb and i5 8400. this is going to be my first forza game that I will buy. lol
Yes, you can choose to play offline if you want and if you have bad internet, the game will switch to offline mode automatically. Human players will be replaced by drivatars like in FH3.
Ikr, the Forza series, specially the Horizon spinoff was the only reason i found to get a xbox one. But i did the smartest thing and got a ps4 and a PC. I'm particularly interested in how this game runs on my PC, maybe I'll buy it if it runs well

if you don't have a gaming pc you can get an xbox one s really cheap now. I think it's worth the investment with horizon 4, ashen, ori and the will of the wisp, gears 4, below and who knows crackdown 3 could turn out alright lol then there's games you might have missed like sunset overdrive, killer instinct, ori and the blind forest, halo mcc,
This a gorgeous game, with a GTX1070 i can push 1440p Ultra with some extreme graphics thrown in and 2x MSAA and get 60-90fps with no stuttering for me. Not bad.

I'm from UK and this game is very realistic in terms of its recreation of UK rural areas. The roads, villages, pubs, general atmosphere are spot on. Even the sounds of nature are very accurate and realistic.
I always wanted seasons in a game like GTA, cuz we could get different missions like skating, or maybe a downhill skiing missions where you're shooting down baddies like in James Bond... But nope, not done yet. In a racer? I'm not sure, some will enjoy snow some will enjoy everything else. But, I guess if you play it a lot it changes things up. That said, I just beat the first one, still a great game on Xbox360, will get part 2 now :)
Wow. When u hit that water tho! That's was some sexy water physics! I feel also that the graphics have noticeably upgraded! Textures and color pop waaaaay more than 3 on the base xbox one system. And holy damn, the reflections are bomb as fuck!!!!! I was blown away by the graphics in this one!

Quick question. This is the first time I’ve cared to play a demo for a game. If I play through part of the demo and then turn my Xbox off, will it save where I was at in the demo or will it start me over? Also, when I get the official game, will it start me off where I was in the demo?
@1:10 I played both FH3 and FH4 back to back and could instantly tell that there has been some refinement to the steering with a controller. To me in FH4 the cars have a slightly more realistic, heavier feel to them and the steering at least at low speeds seems much less twitchy which is exactly what I was hoping for. Well done to the devs it feels near perfect to me now. Only thing that would make it even better was if they brought the complete physics simulation over from the Forza Motorsport series at least as an option! Regardless, what they have so far is seeming to be the best of the best for open-world arcade driving/racing once again. Now just wish PlayStation would get an awesome open world driving game like this... Maybe some day
On a PC that ran FH3 pretty fine with some stutter, I had colossal issues with the FH4 demo. The framerate was massively improved over 3 at the expense of the ground failing to load pretty constantly. I worry about the real-world timing being imposed on a whole lot more than a few events; I couldn't even keep up with Animal Crossing back in the day so I feel like I'll miss out on a lot. But the actual core mechanics are as solid as ever here. I walked back my pre-order but it seems inevitable I'll pick this up at some point.
My one regret not upgrading to Win 10 from Win 8.1 Classic Shell is the Forza series, Horzon 3 and 4 specifically. We really need a game like this for a non Win 10 platform, fingers crossed for TDU3.

Yeah FM3 gave me a lot of problems on pc. But 2 days ago I played FM3 andere IT workshop 10x better. However FM4 plays really good. Ik play on a GTX 970 i5 3570K nothing overclocked. Settings are mediumish.
Always saw this as the XBOX Grand Tursimo series, always a beautiful looking game. Just as a Sony player something i will not be playing anytime soon. Looks like the new version is going to be done pretty well. Amazing depth as always ACG rare to see someone cover games in all genre's so well.

I know this is a "demo impression" and not a full review but I missed comments on one of the most important aspects of an open world racing game : the map. How big is it? How does it compare to the previous game? How is the variety in roads and terrain etc? Because to be honest, it looks great but also a bit lacking in the variety departement.
My experience with using a wheel is that it's kind of in the midle of horizon 2&3 only issue i had is the clutch. I couldnt set it so i grind my gears every shift. Hopefully this will get fixed

This game is very well optimised for PC, unlike FH3. I have XPS 15 with 4 gb gtx 1050, i7-7700 HQ and 32 gb RAM. I was able to play smooth 60 fps with HIGH settings! How awesome is that!
Same soundscape but the individual car sounds are much more different from each other and more realistic to the real life counterparts something seriously awesome I thought.
See now I don't even notice the differences between dynamic and non dynamic shadowing, that shit doesn't define a game for me, the gameplay, story, characters and replayability are what matter

I love Forza Horizon as a series, but I am unsure 4 does enough improvements over 3 for me to buy it day 1. I'm enjoying the demo, I'm reading on the new features and everything, but I'm not seeing / feeling a huge change. I will be buying it no doubt, but perhaps when it's on sale even 30% off. PS: I've done a bit more research, and now I can't make up my mind if I want this day 1 or not. SMH.

PC is the clear choice for those who want or need the absolute best experience, so long as the hardware is up to snuff. For the rest of us it’s a choice between the base Xbox One, the S or the X. I have an S and have considered upgrading to an X but surprisingly have yet to do so. I’m a fan of Forza and especially Forza Horizon. I’ll probably buy Horizon 4 but it isn’t a must buy day one. It’s a case of too many games, not enough time. Like most people I don’t have bottomless pockets either. I’m sure FH4 will deliver and I’ll be interested to see some early impressions/reviews.
Mine doesn't make it past the playgrounds game screen. I've tried updating windows, drivers, setting priority, resetting the app, rebooting my computer, and nothing worked. As for what I'm running it on I have a Ryzen 1700x and RX vega 56 with 16 gb of ram so specs should be good.
I loved the demo pretty pumped for the real game, If I could change anything it would be the tunes in game. I love the in game radio skillsongs djs and such but I found the tunes really pretty meh for me. They got rid of the station I liked the most in 3 but added XS which is a rock station but the tunes just werent great, Id love to see some alternative and or classic rock for me. Or just more songs for each channel might help keep it fresh as well

Onrush is a fantastic arcade racer, but the game bombed pretty bad and has technical issues with the online

Can someone please tell me if this game is going to be available with the game pass on PC or not?
This game is very well optimised for PC, unlike FH3. I have XPS 15 with 4 gb gtx 1050, i7-7700 HQ and 32 gb RAM. I was able to play smooth 60 fps with HIGH settings! How awesome is that!
This is gonna be my 1st ever Forza game. If the demo impresses I may even buy the deluxe edition
Same soundscape but the individual car sounds are much more different from each other and more realistic to the real life counterparts something seriously awesome I thought.
Hate how there is no dynamic shadowing on the standard xbox one

See now I don't even notice the differences between dynamic and non dynamic shadowing, that shit doesn't define a game for me, the gameplay, story, characters and replayability are what matter

I had no idea the devs have to work in HDR and its different per game depending on how they do it. No wonder im always so confused whether my TV is set up right! :D
I love this series and I love this demo.
I been running quality mode and the games been so smooth I thought it was 60fps lol can't wait to put performance mode on and blow my own mind

How can is save my game on pc because if I close the game al the data gets lost?
I really love the pc version that it's even good playable on a i3-2120 (only 2x3,3Ghz) 8GB RAM and a 4GB RAM r9 380Nitro, damn it's a good game.
But I'm thinking to buy an XBOX One to enjoy the full graphics

Aren't the seasons changing going to be on a weekly basis once live? There shouldn't be any loading issues when they change so infrequently.
I went from Xbox 360 to PS4 and i miss Horizon. Nothing like that from Sony. I hope to play this someday.

I love Forza Horizon as a series, but I am unsure 4 does enough improvements over 3 for me to buy it day 1. I'm enjoying the demo, I'm reading on the new features and everything, but I'm not seeing / feeling a huge change. I will be buying it no doubt, but perhaps when it's on sale even 30% off. PS: I've done a bit more research, and now I can't make up my mind if I want this day 1 or not. SMH.
How do i save progress. Or do i have to reset every time i wanna play?

I played the Demo on xbox one x and it looked amazing during the actual gameplay, however it stuttered crazily during cut scenes.... Weird!
I’ve noticed that driving manual with clutch is very underwhelming and feels like it actually slows the car down and it’s really frustrating feeling like I’m forced to drive automatic
PC is the clear choice for those who want or need the absolute best experience, so long as the hardware is up to snuff. For the rest of us it’s a choice between the base Xbox One, the S or the X. I have an S and have considered upgrading to an X but surprisingly have yet to do so.
I’m a fan of Forza and especially Forza Horizon. I’ll probably buy Horizon 4 but it isn’t a must buy day one. It’s a case of too many games, not enough time. Like most people I don’t have bottomless pockets either.
I’m sure FH4 will deliver and I’ll be interested to see some early impressions/reviews.

Dear God youtube compression really devastated that footage.
Mine doesn't make it past the playgrounds game screen. I've tried updating windows, drivers, setting priority, resetting the app, rebooting my computer, and nothing worked.
As for what I'm running it on I have a Ryzen 1700x and RX vega 56 with 16 gb of ram so specs should be good.
Is this demo stands forever?
Is the demo locked at 60fps? in the benchmark mode I can get over 100fps but in game it stays at 60 even with vysnc off and no frame limit
60fps is ALWAYS the way you wanna play if available
Does the full game look better then the demo?
I played FH3 alot and really got used to the car sounds and audio. In FH4 they've done a really good job with the audio and its improved alot
Does the game support Dolby Atmos?

I loved the demo pretty pumped for the real game, If I could change anything it would be the tunes in game. I love the in game radio skillsongs djs and such but I found the tunes really pretty meh for me. They got rid of the station I liked the most in 3 but added XS which is a rock station but the tunes just werent great, Id love to see some alternative and or classic rock for me. Or just more songs for each channel might help keep it fresh as well

60 fps ultra/high at 4k with a 1070? I'm getting the same on a 1080 with some minor drops, and can't hold 60 fps 4k ultra, that's weird.
