Welcome to the 14th episode of the Texas Plinking 1 MOA At 1,000 Yards Challenge. A monthly video series where I let 5 fans come out with their equipment and attempt to shoot a 10" gong at 1,000 yards in under 10 shots. If they hit it, they can use their remaining shots on the 5" gong. The 10" gong is worth 10 points and goes down 1 point after every shot. The 5" gong is worth 20 points and goes down 2 points after every shot. Once both are hit, the challenge is complete and each unfired round is an additional point. New episodes go live on the 1st Monday of every month! - บันเทิง

Great video! awesome rifles! and awesome shooters! Would love to see a .338 or some cheytac stuff!
If you go with sections of old fire hose, instead of chains. You'll get clean pass thru with support hardware. Just saying it what I use. Thinking out loud
How do we apply to do the challenge? I’ve went back and tried to look in old videos. I’ve even done the newsletter.
Hands down, best long-range shooting series on the Tube! Great Job!!
I totally agree! Always a thrill and fun to watch!
Ray's over at X Ring is way better.
I look forward to this every month. The wind was tough but that 416 Barret was getting it done for sure. I'm hoping to come back one more time with another rifle if I ever get time to work on it.
Nicely done once again :)
This man is looking to stack gold coins!
416 was like “2 gallons of gas everytime he missed “
And I thought my 338 Lapua was expensive to feed until seeing that one.
Not only the ammo, but speaking from experience ... that target plate is toast.
We've also found the only guy on the planet buying factory 416 lol.
Made that 3 gallons for gas for CA price 416 ammo, but that M99 is a nice piece no doubt.
I often say I'm sorry I wasn't born in Texas.
Even one hit in such a strong wind is a success!
Greetings from Germany
It's never to late. As long as your not from the following places you can fill out our application. 🎉
1. California
2.New York
3. Washington state
4. Oregon
5. Massachusett
6 .Deleware.
A new law just passed last month that "Requires" all Texas males over the age of 25 to deport every man, woman, or child that's illegally immigrated here back to where they came from within 2 business days of capture. It's basically bounty hunting. Texas Supreme Court approved 7-1 in favor of deportation. All my homies are pumped up about the new law for several reasons.
1. Texas gained 3,,116.5 new people per day in 2023' that's 17% more than 22'. We can't stand these idiots from New York, California, Oregon, Washington state. They f'd there states they came from so badly they had to leave.now there F'ING up Texas two.
2. It's a great boost to our local economy and its helping all of us financially because they're paying $1,000 / arrest. It's basically bounty hunting.
3. It's aton of fun! We having been rounding them up by the dozens around my little home town. They're was a nest of them 200 meters behind my house. I caught 6 of them by myself. It's hilarious, they are such a bunch of weenies, they usually cry and flop around on the ground screaming how they're gonna tell their moms on us. They're usually super easy to spot with blue, or pink hair. However it's quite difficult trying to gender them correctly most often times.
I called a meeting with my homies yesterday to remind them to behave themselves or we could loose our newly gained privileges .
So it's actually a little to fun. Then throw in the $10k per month were all
Making and its probably not gonna last much longer before they revoke the new law.
So you better hurry or your gonna miss the party going on right now across the whole state. It's Texas Justice
Wow, that .416 is awesome! It creates mini-mushroom clouds wherever it hits.
It destroyed that steel plate!
This is a super humbling experience for a lot of qualified shooters, a real test. Texas wind does that to the best of em. Great series
Hey Brandon, just wanted to say that the 1000 yd 1moa challenge is the video I look forward to each month the most. Not just from your channel but from everything I watch. You made long range shooting video/competition fun. Before I just could not watch, nice work man!
It would be interesting to see Erik Cortina do this! You guys should trade challenges. You do the blackjack at 500 yards and he does this one.
This 100%!
Trusty Bergara didn't eject a single case.
Mine just started doing it at 1800 rounds
Garbage
@@boostedbavarian I mean no not really, they make really good guns. I’m sending mine back
His ejector plunger has left the chat
All you guys keep hating on bergara, I just got done shooting 1/2MOA groups at 699 yards and 1008. 1100 dollar rifle. Oh yeah, never had a single problem with ejection.
Momma Plinking threatening with the shoe!
love these challenge videos, I'm surprised other channels haven't done similar things. This is a lot more interesting/entertaining than watching exploding watermelons.
Easily my favorite shooter series on the tube!!
10pm in Australia release time worth the wait love this series
What’s the long range community in Australia like?
@seann2769 pretty good guys in my area. Actually almost everyone i interact with at our ranges are really good people
Really hope you keep this series going, one of my favorites to watch. Thanks Teaxas Plinking
Definitely my favorite series to watch each month.
My favorite time of the month! I really learned some things today in addition to watching my favorite individual sport.
Feel better about ordering my Solus after watching this.
I couldn’t be happier with it!
I’ve only seen a few videos on them but they seem very accurate. The guys groups were tight he just needed to find the right hold
That wind in the back round was ridiculous, the mics you have are as amazing as the shooters in that wind.
I’ve shot a CA Ridgeline in 6.5 PRC out to 1150 yds with a Maven RS 1.2 2.5-15 scope. My target is 2 MOA, and I am able to make reliable hits with it and spot my hits through the scope.
The shooter’s form was awful. Kept switching support hand positions, adjusted the rifle position and didn’t adjust his body position, his trigger pull was…..unique.
It is possible to make long shots with a lightweight hunting rifle, but your fundamentals have to be even better than when shooting a heavy gun. Every tiny movement is magnified.
Preach!!! Couldn't of said it better myself
Thats what I would have looked like... maybe not quite as bad :P
This looks like so much fun. What a cool competition. Especially with all your subscribers. Cool idea
Whoever said long-range shooting isn't exciting, never saw this series! I'm cheering every episode. Real talk, this channel kindled my desire to start shooting far with my ARs and now I'm reaching further with my first bolt-gun; I hope I'll one day get good enough to end up on this channel! keep up the excellent content, I'll keep watching :)
this is such a satisfying series to watch. Just enough tech to be interesting and then honest shooting.
Its kinda like watching street car drag racing in a way.
best shooting series on youtube! keep em coming!
I'm really happy every time I see an impact.
You should do a tournament of champions
You should also film some of the after challenge shenanigans
Really enjoy, lots of fun and helpful info, thanks
I love this series please don't stop making it :)
We need the guys from 9 Hole Reviews to join you for this!!
I feel that'd be a bit unfair to the other competitors. But henry would definitely walk up with some 80 year old rifle just to be a show off
@@brockgundich There was a guy who did this challenge with a Mosin. He had a SWFA fixed 10x scope if I recall.
@@akmarksman I remember him! He was awesome for that
Look forward to these every month, keep up the great work and appreciate the effort on all fronts to make this content!
Thinking out loud here and it may have already been brought up, could we get a quick look of the shooter's ammo during the intro/rifle view? Would love to see a .416 cartridge next to that Barrett and I think its safe to say we all appreciate some shinny hand-loaded or even factory brass.
That 416 was a hammer!
That 6.5 AR shoots great! Nice job
Appreciate it brother. ( Mark from nightstalker precision LLC)
YES!!! been waiting for this!!😊
eeeey the guy representing california hell yea!
300 PRC here, now I want that barrett
Love seeing fellow marksmen pushing their skills to the limit.
Great to see the Barrett 99 in 416. Looks like the rifle to beat. Great job on a very gusty day
Heck yeah! This series is what I live for
Love it! Keep them coming!
Super cool video man. Great challenge. Thats a hell of a shot to make.
This channel and EC 500 yard Black Jack is my fav LRS vids!
17:47 I see a lot of gut-shot deer in this man's future.
Yeah I hate to hate but gotta agree. Im guessing he was zoomed in too far and couldnt track hits on top the factory that money doesnt replace skill
Sick 416!
I love watching this show!
That 1st shooters extractor was working to well.
Ejector... not so much lmao
Another Great Video!!!
Great job looking forward to the next time thanks
These videos are awesome
I don’t even shoot long range but I’m always Jonesing for these videos! Thanks Brandon!
just bought a howa 1500 today to get into long range! This channel definitely got me interested in it!
Very nice decision
I just love these videos! Everytime it comes up obviously my feed, I look forward to checking it out.
I would love to give 1MOA 1000yrds a go! I ain't no experienced shooter but would love to experience it and learn and give it a go!
Great video my man! From Australia Victoria 😊
Brings 3500.00 no rear bag and holds bipod. 😅😂
Needs to get the basics and fundamentals down. I applaud his confidence in trying tho
Definitely not a 6.5 fan, way to light to go against those strong ass Texas winds
I noticed the first shot rocked him🤣. Raw power from 300WM won't help if his skill and everything else aren't squared away.
@JohnZ556 I'm pretty sure he is talking about the first guy, if I'm wrong my apologies
@@JohnZ556 I retract my comment i am wrong lol
Crazy how many people fumble around with mags, failed ejections and their scopes. You can always tell who truly knows what they’re doing by how precise and calm they execute every movement.
Probably wouldn’t have fumbled if he took the gloves off😂
One dudes hands were shaking like crazy.
Hard to tell if the camera got to him though. I'm a mess when people start filming.
I don’t know much about shooting except that it’s really hard at distances of 1 mile, but I see shooters adjusting scope before the first shot, lots of gun and body/position movement between shots and most baffling is a tight group that is consistently a foot or more from the target….. I don’t get it. If you’re consistently aiming for the center of your target and your shot consistently lands a foot to the right… wouldn’t you adjust your aim a foot to the left to compensate? No offense or insult to these guys…I know nothing…. But can you explain it to me?
I always see these videos in my feed but never watch them. I think I'll start watching them now.
i love thing i recreated your idea here in belgium and it wase awesome cant wait to come try it there with you in texas
I don't see any videos on your cannel about it!! I was excited when I read and let down when I looked!! Get that going asap so WE can see it. A lot of people would watch man..
Nvm, I see you are airsoft.. I thought you meant real guns.. cool channel though..
I Airsoft and sportshoot sadly most gun ranges don't allow recording vids on the range
Just ordered the Zulus ZHD250R.....thanks for the 25% off discount code!!!! Can't wait to try it out. Love your videos and this series. You ROCK!!
Love the challenge!!
3 speeding tickets and a handshake😂
I wait all month for this! Fucking Fantastic as always!
I suspect that target on the ground is why the .416 Barrett shot second to last ??
that 416 was cool. awesome
That was some impressive shooting given the wind. Especially the guy who had just recently built his rifle and the guy who had never even shot out to a thousand yards before. I greatly enjoyed this video.
Given Brandon seems to have an extensive collection of highly accurate rifles and given this channel's focus on precision shooting, I'd love to see Brandon do the "1 MOA All Day Long" challenge that is going around now.
GR8 VIDEO THNX
This looks fun! I wish I lived closer
impressed with the Aero Solus
Man Chris couldn’t get rid of that adrenaline. Hands were shaking
Best challenge competition in YT!! Where is the shooting range ??? Thanks and keep going 👍
I love this!!!!!! iv watched every episode...only ever shoot out to 120 yards and only ever used what you would call hunting rifles/ swedish mauser. Haha i really really want to get funds up to get a nice scope and crono a cartridge and see what i can do with a balistic app but probably with out ....problem is there is no place i can find in western NC that i could shoot past 200...darn texas would be nice
Dude freaking awesome
Michael Jackson’s and his glove made me chuckle 😂
I need to come try this. Got a budget set up that I think would do great.
You should add a shot timer from shot to impact!
Can't say I was surprised by that Barrett 416
Makes me want to pull what’s left of my hair out when people don’t correct their holds or adjust their dial
it is windy bro!! that was awesome tho
Another awesome challenge. Until this challenge I have never heard of the "416" Great job by all the shooters especially with the wind gust.
18 moa of windhold at 1000yrds is 180 inch, am I correct?? That’s 15feet😵
Love these videos!! Im new to long range and im not get what's up with the single feeding? In winds isn't time of the essence.
Sometimes folks that hand load have high BC bullets seated out far enough that the cartridge overall length won't fit in the magazine.
Some shooters don't want to run the risk of damaging the tip of the bullet by feeding from the mag
Madera, CA…….. that’s crazy
Great channel! Would love a higher resolution on the targets
I have a 36 inch barrel and get 3180 fps out of the factory 452 grain .416 barrett ammo. I knew the longer barrel would get more velocity, but it was even more than I expected.
It got there at 1000 yards like 6.5 gets at 500 yards. Things a beast!
Been watching all of these and I wanna join in on the fun, but best I got is my combat built sfar haha. Doubt I’d hit the berm
That 300 winmag gets there quick!
That 416 even faster!
YESSSSsssss!!!!!
Im supposed to be in a meeting. Bathroom stall, bluetooth and earbuds...the morning is going great 😀
Mariposa represent!
Hell yeah brother
I've shot 1000yds prone off a bipod with an AR-50 and it's NOT easy. Even with a rifle that can shoot well under 1/2 minute at that range....playing the wind was something I just wasn't good enough at doing to score well. Unless it was totally calm I sucked BAD. Calm the rifle could hit clay pigeons 5 out of 5 but that didn't happen often. Kudos to these fellows!
Cool series for sure. Surprised how few of them are running covers on the suppressors. Definite difference in mirage after a few shots for my setups. Titanium suppressor admittedly probably doesn't help.
Another great video!
Can't wait for someone to bring out a Scar 20s
Won’t hit the berm with that! 😂
Hi Brandon. I watch each episode. I look at the mirage and the flag behind the targets to read the wind. However, it seems that some of the guys read it different or not at all. I was wondering whether you could ask each shooter after he/she shot how they read the wind.
Windy Conditions today....It was fun for me I was pulling for Ebody....Great Vid 👍👍👍👍👍👍🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
Happy birthday man. Missed the live, how many times around the sun?
Gavin Newsome crying right now
with that kind of aim he could hit a teardrop!
AWP was damn goood
Don't know what i like more ... the shooting or the introduction to the rifles.
Some look like they got unlocked in CoD at lvl 100 lmao.
"Hold on, I've got to put on my shooting gloves."
Never thought I’d see a fellow guy from Cypress on the channel
18 MOA of wind 😮
On a 20" .308 shooting 168gr SMK... impressive the grouping was accurate enough to do it since 168s out of 22" M14 tend to be subsonic at 1k yards and start to tumble. Not a great round for wind either. Glad he got it done though!
Yeah, had to come up 41moa, and calcs say I’m at 1050fps, subsonic indeed. Made such a tiny little mark on that target too … not a whole lot of energy left.
That's what you get when competing with a 20" 308 in Texas wind at 1k.
He impressed me the most. No way I would have performed to his level with that gun. Heck I would do worse with a better gun.
R&D Workshop was my FFL until they swapped 100% to making suppressors!!! Just down the road from me.
California, who would have thought.
Yea buddy, South Texas Corpus Christi representing.
Way to represent CC, ol boy needs a break on that gun though 😅
@@RubiconBear no I dont🤣🤣
I've got a 1200 yard range in Alice and I would love to work on your fundamentals then 😆
@@RubiconBear let's make it happen then....
@@RubiconBear got close quarter stuff too. I only got 5 56 and 309 blackout
The barret looks like a cyber truck
For the affordable builds for rest of us, I think well tuned 308 with handloads perform consistently on this show. I would go for that 6mm BRA, the other episode the guy on it on second shot!
Not only well tuned, but also the one you can shoot.
