Welcome to the 7th episode of the Texas Plinking 1 MOA At 1,000 Yards Challenge. A monthly video series where I let 5 fans come out with their equipment and attempt to shoot a 10" gong at 1,000 yards in under 10 shots. If they hit it, they can use their remaining shots on the 5" gong. The 10" gong is worth 10 points and goes down 1 point after every shot. The 5" gong is worth 20 points and goes down 2 points after every shot. Once both are hit, the challenge is complete and each unfired round is an additional point. New episodes go live on the 1st Monday of every month!

Cool shooting, guys! Great to watch.
How do I get my name on the list to come out and shoot. I have a 7 mm rim mag. I think that will do very well.
can we see the crater on the target after that 50?
Please send optic for free.ireland🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪 D 13w6n2
How do I sign up i have a 338 lapua and think i would do well
It was crazy to see a guy with no hands shoot as well as he did. Huge props for not letting something stop you from doing what you love. Respect man.
A guy with no hands, a guy who just happened to win a 50 cal rifle, man I love how random this series has become, everyone and their long bois are welcome
Well, cause realistically, nobody with a brain is buying a .50 regardless. From weight to recoil and bullet cost it just doesn't make sense for a Civy.
and as to the other....
Whatever "look mah, no-hands guy" was trying to prove, he fuckin did it.
Being honest?? We all know he was the most consistent shooter by a mile and if they went by groupings he'd have won.
Some say he got banned from the Olympics for partaking in performance enhancing stubs.
Look up NoHandedShooter to find some videos of him shooting pistols too. It’s damn impressive.
@@zezimadude13he had a sick setup and he proved it. He was consistent with every shot
Forget the hands thing, I had no clue what he said.
@@zezimadude13as a .50 owner I disagree, most people who badmouth them cant afford the cost of entry or cant shoot them at any of their ranges, $3 for ball when 300 wm is $2-4...........as a current civy the 50 gives you unmatched capability in rural areas and bypasses the need to avoid body armor shots......
The 50 BMG hit had me jump out of the chair for that one. Amazing!
Poor plate didn't know what was coming.
@@atToebiscuitfirst few hits were just a tease 😂
Dope. i do miss the hit markers. love watching people walk em in.
The hit markers look messy, it’s pretty easy as the viewer to remember where each shot went.
Miss them too I have poor short term memory at times and watching the adjustments from original attempt was a highlight for me of this channel.
I watch this as like ASMR while working on stuff, that's not to say I'm "not watching"... if I happened to miss the impact I liked having the markers...
what I do is I use my mouse cursor to mark the last hit, but this only works for those that watchi this video on a computer
The only thing I hate about this series is waiting a whole month for a new episode. Otherwise, the scoring system really improved the already amazing format. I see huge potential for this series long term.
Waiting a month .😭
This series has turned into one of my favorites and this is one of my too 3 channels for long range being right uo there with mark and sam after work great video
Well said.
Was excited to see Hunter! Met him at the 2015 3 gun nationals when I was younger and just thinking about getting into competition, was and still is an absolutely huge inspiration, dudes an absolute dog on the trigger
Hot dog on the trigger
Hunter... I'm blown away by how you handle that rifle... You probably won't ever see this comment... But I just have to say. That was an awesome piece of marksmanship for one.
But it wasn't so much your accuracy that got me, which was fantastic, it was how you cycled that action... That's one smoooooth action. I can't even fathom your trigger impulse, words can't explain that at all. The whole display was amazing, what a way to overcome adversity. Thank you.
It’s fun to see everything from the .50 to the shorty .308, awesome the variety that comes to Texas Plinking.
Once a month isn't often enough for this series. Love it.
Big thanks to the guy bringing the 50. Very entertaining.
Hello from the UK
You've hit gold here Brandon. This is a brilliant format. 👏
This is the best thing on TH-cam!!
Another great episode!
Calibers with best rates per uses
300 Win Mag 3 uses @ 100%
6.5 Creed 10 uses @ 70%
6 Creed 3 uses @ 67%
308 Win 5 uses @ 60%
.50 BMG 1 use @100%
@jerryk.4688 haha very true sir. would love to see more 50s on here to bump those numbers
@@brockmartin9526I should’ve made the hit. I’ve just been having issues lately but I think my elevation turret may have slipped and threw my dope off
I would love to see a spreadsheet of the guns, optics, caliber, and hit rate for the calibers.
If I am recalling correctly, we have seen a few 338's that did well, 1 user for 6 Arc with a hit, and obviously MosinMan with 54r at 100%.
@@mobeus5019 you're absolutely right. I tried to make it also based off "number of appearances" as well. There are 7 calibers with one use / one hit rate.
338 Lapua
50 BMG
6 ARC
6 Dasher
6 GT
6.5 PRC
7.62x54R
I just built an AR-10 in 300 WSM so really cool to see that rifle there. The 50’s splashes were awesome, looked like a mini WW1 artillery shell hitting the mark.
Thank you for another fun to watch video and for shooting your 308. With all the discussions on TH-cam talking about it still being a valid caliber, you proved it is. All the shooters should be proud of themselves.
These are so entertaining!
The 50 won and the dude with no hands made it all worth it. That dude can run a pistol too man. I love watching his shorts.
This is probably the one thing I look forward to most now on TH-cam.
this series is brilliant. only a matter of time before 20 more TH-cam channels pop up exclusively to rip off this exact format. Good work!
The homie that dont do handshakes has got a sweet rig, and he seems to know wtf hes talking about. Love it 👌
Shoutout to everyone on the TP Newsletter who saw it early!

Gotcha!...Your channel is far from awesome man..cheers !! from Argentina
I’ve rewatched the series a couple of times. I’d love to see a competition. Maybe a new years special where you take the best performing subscribers and bring them back out as a team and let them compete vs gun TH-camrs like you. Just see a lot of potential with the new scoring system.
Best series on guntube lately. Always a fun surprise each time.
Couldnt help but laugh the first time i saw no hands run the bolt, but he shot better than most tho goes to show what practice and determination can get you. Hope to see him again next time may the wind be in his favor.
These series hits all the way to Sweden. Great format!
I liked the hit markers on misses so I can watch the shooters track in their impacts

Always look forward to playing these during work.
Better than (any sport I can name) on TV! Because I have no real skin in the game, I can cheer for everybody. Love seeing the very cool rifles as well.
bruh the guy with the bummed arm crapping on that 1000 yard plate is inspirational. Thats an incredible shot to to make at a disadvantage. Bravo
Really enjoying this series.
I find myself tensing up in anticipation of these guys taking the next shot. 😅
Love how no-hands man was treated no differently than anyone else! He danced around the target too getting soooooo close finally hitting it!
LOL at the 50cal dude!
He had a nice set up too!
Didn’t know you were allowed to bring artillery to this kinda challenge but I’m here for it!🤷🏽♂️
Hi from Queensland, Australia
Just started watching this today
Awesome comp ..
Cheers keep em coming 👍
I bought an Arken optic and rings with your code and saved 91$. Thanks. And I plan on using it again really soon
That was tough watching Hunter (2nd guy) running all over it after the 3rd shot. Great inspiration. Wicked sick, brother!! Fck yeah 🤘😵🤘
It would be neat to see each shooter do like a 3 or 5 shot group at 100 to see what their rifle is capable of, if it's really a 1 MOA rifle.
You're measuring ballistics and conditions as much as the rifle @ 1000 yards. but hint: 3 or 5 shots doesn't prove a 1 MOA rifle unless taken over a bunch of groups because sample size is too small.
Don't hang the hat. It's fun seeing you pull something out the safe for show and tell and for those that haven't seen I think it shows that even the home court advantage doesn't make it a sure bet.
I was there when Jerry won that .50! The Kalash Bash and Lethal Weapons events are so much fun! I’m going to camp out and hopefully compete at their 2024 event!
Love that I get to see these early. Man, that guy shooting the 50…. Props to him
Love your channel and this competition. I do miss the red circles with numbers when they miss.
Chad and Jerry sporting his Kalash Bash shirt and a Third Pin hat...Klay would be proud!
Didn't think I would actually watch the entire vid. It was a random TH-cam recommendation... I really liked it so had to like and comment.
No hands guy was my favorite. He is a total badass.
Love watching these videos. I love that the bergara rifles stock do so well against way more expensive of rifles
The guy with no hands is a badass dude I wanna meet that guy one day it's my wish to the universe to get to go shoot with him such an inspiration and amazing marksman
It was great watching Coby - he was dialed in from the first round, but the midfield wind kept pulling him L and R.
I look forward to this every month! So interesting to see what everyone is running 🎉
Back in my mil days, I was given the chance to fire a .50 bmg and I did it,,,,, ONCE! Never had the desire to do it again lol. When that fellow sat down behind that light looking bolt gun in a t shirt, I was cringing LOOONG before he took the shot. To take 10 like that? Well in my book, the man's an animal! Gotta say, I enjoy and anticipate this competition more than any other 'shooting' vid series on the net. Thumb's up on the series. Oh, btw, with my hearing, when you mentioned the Brownell's discount for your code, I thought you said "50" % !!! Dropped my coffee right in my lap. OUCH! LMAO
Oh, before I forget, having the fellow bring back the Mosin stunt, was funny as hell.
Noreen ULR, pussy cat to shoot, muzzle blast is highly. Not much recoil.
Best range TV I’ve seen in a bit!
Great point system!
Great shooter lineup!
Cheers from Kerrville!
🤘😺🤘
Damn. Your thumbnail got me all excited . I have an Arken Optics EP-5 (which is a great scope) so I saw Ep. 7 in the thumbnail and was like what? Arken released an EP-7? Lmao. In my own defense I had just woken up and did not have my coffee yet. Keep these awesome vids coming!
Another great video!
However, I found it better when every shot was marked in the target image! So you could watch how the shooter works his way towards the target!
THIS!
By far best shooting series on YT! Love it!
Awesome video! I look forward to each new video in the series! Congrats to all the shooters!
I love my Noreen 50 BMG. Nice to see a big boomer, even though the Cheytac was cool on another video!
glad to see hunter out there. love seeing his comp pistol videos
I wish I could find a range like this one day. My only rifle range near me is 300 yard so I spend my time on it with my ar15 and .22 lr practicing principles of distance shooting. Some day I'll find a range worthy of my 308
Look really hard and far, also talk to local gun shops and gun nuts. There's always a super exclusive/secret gun club with LR ranges.
Depends on where you are.
@@ronws2007 northern Minnesota
@@jakecheck3225You think there would bel plenty up there. Down here in north Texas is a range that goes to 1 mile.
@@ronws2007 see not really cause it's all wooded area up here. It's hard to find any clearing more than a couple hundred yards. The longest I know of is Hibbing and that's a good ways away
I kept seeing these on my TH-cam home page. Finally gave them a shot about a week ago. Now I’ve watched all of them, plus a ton of your other videos. Love the content, and now you’ve got me wanting to scratch the 1000 yard itch even though there’s nothing near me where I can stretch the legs out on a rifle like that. Thinking about converting my diamondback AR10 to a long range gun. Bolt guns are cool, but there’s a gravity that draws me to the AR10 platform. Maybe one day if I get it dialed in I’d love to come out. Thank you for the awesome content and inspiring people to get out and challenge themselves.
love the rimfire and airgun mixed videos! definitely my favorites as that is what makes up my arsenal while farm pesting and hunting.
bmg says hello to the 10". Fun video as always.
I absolutely love this series. Please keep it up.
Great video! Can’t wait to see someone with a 243 Ackley Improved try the challenge!
shout out to my boi with the sakos20 in 300 win mag, same setup as mine but i did the viper scope
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Fantastic series!!
Awesome to see No excuses on here. Seen a lot of his YT shorts. Rock on brother.
Would be valuable to ask them what they did when they missed multiples? Are they adjusting hold, waiting for wind, or what their feeling/strategies are.
A post round run down would be nice, just a lil 20 sec how'd ya do?
I would love to do this some time and see if these old eyes still have it. Lol. Last time I shot 1000 yard match I got my .5 moa patch for a 5shot group that was a little over 4” at 1000 with a 50 bmg shooting 750 amax had loads. Great video.
the second guy with no fingers, impressive man, and what a sweet rifle
I really look forward to this every month
Congrats to everyone who made it down there to Texas and got to hang with Brandon!
Bonus congrats to Everyone who got it done!
Brandon, I challenge you to do it with your Mk13 and a 243
amazing video. for all the people with a slim budget out there:
yes you can score a 1000y also with a relatively cheap setup. the guy with the sako s20 prooved that very well. humble guy, cheap scope and sako s20.
easily outshot some guys with very, very cost intensive gear...
Great episode.. Love the .50. Can't wait the get out and try my hand at it. I've got a new 7 PRC I just built, I think it'll be a great rifle for 1K and beyond.
Great series Brandon. I look forward to this one… keep up the great work!
Oh I needed this🤗 thank you for all the effort in the vidios
Ayyye Imagine my surprise when there is another Shreveport boy in this video. I imagine you're a LRA regular if you're from that area and you shoot precision. How neat.
Best series in TH-cam!
I can't wait to get off work to watch this, probably with some warmed up food : )
Fantastic, fantastic, really enjoyed, love the 50. 😊
I look forward to this video every month!
6:40 "look ma! 1000yards; no hands!"
Henry from 9-hole reviews needs to come on here with some iron sights and show how it's done lol.
Me: I would like a free float barrel.
Noreen:
Excellent , Another Great 1,000 yard Challenge 💯💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Really enjoying this series TP! Awesome content.
Maybe my favorite episode so far.
It is really surprising me how few Semi autos are pulling in hits. If I recall correctly, Zack at MMM with his SR25 is the only gasser to make it.
The guy with the GAP-10 would have if he'd checked his ballistics app info. On his redemption round he connected on the 4th shot.
Hunter was the best on line today for consistency...so many shots so close
Love this series!!! So awesome. Keep them coming
Thank you. I love this series!!!
6:55 that gun is maxed out! Shows effort over handicap
Like the scoring, miss the strike indication, LOVE the wind flag
Spending half the video watching a dude reload a 50 cal us so worth it
Great show, great format. Max point total could be 118 if people were allowed to keep shooting after hitting a target. A bit more strategy involved: keep shooting or take the point per unfired round? Subscribed.
Glad to see the guy not using the super sniper hand grip score the highest.
😂😂 moms was like " you were awful"
Another good showing . Lots of fun.Have to get a 7prc set up.
I love the new scoreboard system.
But I miss the hit markers 😅
Nubbs is a BADDIE! Get it fella!
Should've let Mosin man use Mosin. That's what makes him a Mosin man.
