It's like you organized a bunch of your previous tutorials in one single take. This is really valuable, no one is doing what you're doing with your level of quality, charisma and commitment.
Hey dude, really appreciate that! Exactly like you said, I've covered a lot of this stuff at various points before but I really wanted to have a series to specifically help people who want to get going in Renoise. I really do dedicate every spare minute I have to this channel so it's really rewarding to get such great feedback! Keep well mate :) ✌
This was incredible. I've just installed renoise for the first time. It took me like two hours re-watching this video but I finished my first break loop... so much fun! NOW THE SECOND PART. Thanks sensei.
Amazing mate! So happy to hear. That was exactly the purpose of me making this series, to help people like yourself get stuck into renoise :) its such a dope program once you get over that slightly tricky learning curve! ✌️🥷
Appreciate that mate! I wanted to make a really fun/engaging way for people to get stuck into Renoise which is quite an intimidating DAW. The learning curve is quite tricky so I hope this can really help people 😊✌️
You have certainly achieved this, it has made Renoise a viable toolbox in my production kit after 10+ years in Ableton. For complex break programming I would recommend nothing other than Renoise. Thank you@@groovining
For sure dude - happy to hear. It's a great tool to add to your arsenal :) Renoise for break programming is unreal. It's so creative and actually just fun to work in. I love it! ✌️😊
Amazing mate! Glad you've been finding the channel useful :) This series should hopefully really help people like yourself fast-track through that initial learning curve in Renoise! ✌🥷
funnily enough youtube recommended me this while im trying to move away from renoise towards doing stuff on the polyend tracker but this is still really useful info and presented really well, excited for the rest of this to be posted
Thanks smt, glad you enjoyed it mate. The Polyend Tracker is great also! These break chopping techniques can all be applied to the tracker just the same :)
yo my brother you tha man REAL TALK, I may not be using Renoise, but damn everthing you been teaching, i have applied FL , and it's upped my DnB game so nuff love Homie....DNB 4EVA👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Wicked mate! Glad to hear you've been able to translate all this stuff out of Renoise into your FL. I nearly started using FL a while back but actually went to Renoise instead after a little test run. Its a great DAW but something about Renoise really caught my attention. It also has a super fast workflow which I loved. Big ups! ✌🥷
This is great - even though the vid is focused on Renoise, your method for slicing the sample is universally applicable! As a non-Renoise user who is newbie'ing it up in Ableton, this is tremendously useful!
Cheers BukkeBizzle! Yes its the funnest way to slice breaks and I find it a lot easier to get the rolling this way rather than mesing with all the little peices! You can even make your own custom breaks and then chop them in this way :) ✌️🥷
Thanks mate! That's one of my favourites also. I've translated this technique to my other DAWs also as it's a great way to preview things rather than running the cycle round and round. My other favourite is to assign 'numpad 0' to open the plugin UI on the currently selected instrument. Such a great Hotkey! :) ✌
@@groovining lol, yeah. figures. heres to 20k, then 50k and then 100k subs so you can outsource the editing hahahahaand save time for music exclusively. also, heres a nice black sun empire - dont you.flac for you. idea. do a bse style tutorial. if editing allows haha. cheers!
Tutorial is amazing and easy to follow, every thing is well explained, can’t wait to see the next episode and get renoise open I haven’t used it since i bought it ❤🎉
Thanks Jumanji! Renoise is such a wicked DAW to get into. It definitly has a bit of a learning curve just getting used to the workflow, quite similar to Elektron products in that way. However, its super creative & fun to use. Next episode is come soon! ✌️&❤️
Love Renoise, it's fantastic. Started off using Octamed on Amiga then onto Fasttracker. Lost touch of using tracker programs then found Renoise, I love it. Great tutorial. p.s. What is the program you're using to display the keys you press on the keyboard?
Hi Craig, Thanks about the vid mate. I love Trackers also - good to hear how you've worked your way through them. Renoise is a beast & very creative tool. Kind of like a hardware sampler (Emu E4) combined with a tracker seqeuncer. I love it! ✌️😊 The keyboard is actually just native keyboard viewer on mac. support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchlp1015/mac
I think the sound engine in Maschine is good. It's not particularily unique but none of them really are. People who say Ableton sounds betten that pro tools or Logic are really just stabbing in the dark. I use Renoise also which does actually have a bit of a unique sound compared to the others but its still quite sutble and a lot to do with its sampler. 😊✌️
Seems the tracker is the perfect tool for running breaks. Wonder if I can send the midi out from the Nerdseq (modular tracker sequencer .. it’s like this but in a module it’s fantastic) and run the midi into Ableton .. I’ll have to try that
do you have any problems with latency using a MIDI keyboard? I'm using the keystep as well and the latency is really making live playing in almost impossible.

Your channel is quality, cant wait for your recognition in the ol’ algorithm 👊
Thanks dude, haha same! I feel like if I just keep putting out the best stuff I can eventually things will catch on :)✌
I'm impressed by how you deliver quality content in such a friendly and entertaining way! Thank you.
Thanks audiomon! I do my best. Love Renoise so happy to show it off to the world 😊✌️
These are the best Renoise tutorials hands down. The production values are insanely high for music tutorials.

Probably the best jungle tutorials on TH-cam
Appreciate that mate! I love making them. I've been really enjoying creating the theme for this one :)✌️
Best Renoise tutorial I've ever seen. Keep it up my friend.
Cheers Ed! Glad people are enjoying this series. Hope it has helped get more people into Renoise 🚀✌️
Great that your doing these tutorials, also good for non-beginners of Renoise. There is always something new to learn, like supernudge! Nice!
Cheers mate & happy there's stuff in these for more advanced users. Yea super nudge is life for me! ✌️🥷

Highly informative and nicely paced video - thanks for making this

Just a great go to, how to renoise tutorial...as i already comment...best learning stuff, keep on tune
Thanks mate! Yea that was the whole point - just to give people a good learning resource for getting into Renoise! :)🥷
Very nice tracker workflow tips in this. Shift play and transpose were especially nice!

High quality content, respect for it!
Appreciate that mate! ✌️🥷
editing is on a next level. high quality stuff. oh, yeah. music tutorials as well. lol.
Really appreciate that mate :) The editing is the thing that takes me the longest even though its all about music! ✌️

Haha yes - cheers mate! 100k and outsourcing the editing would be the dream! Black Sun Empire would be 🔥:)
Wicked! I'm going to follow these tutorials. So many good tips in here especially the timestretch section.
Cheers dude! Happy to have this series out there now. Hopefully a good place to start for people to who want to get stuck into Renoise :) ✌️🥷
Much appreciated 🙏

Cheers legend! Big hugs mate✌&❤
great video once again
Thanks Will. Really enjoyed getting back into some Renoise content! :) ✌
LOVE these tutorials! Any chance we could see intelligent dnb/idm tuts? There's a big lack of idnb/idm tutorials out there for Renoise
Cheers friend! Yes absolutely, I love Renoise and Intelligent dnb so will be definitly making more content in this style! :)✌️
Epic! (why no comments here?)
Haha thanks brother! Excited to get the rest of the series out now. Thanks for all the comments! :)✌
I've been using Renoise for a year or so now... but don't know what any of the fx commands are Thanks for showcasing how useful they be
Yea for sure I don't use all the FX commands either but Sxx, Bxx, Xxx, Cxx I use all the time! ✌️😊

No worries mate - thanks for the comment :)
How have you not had more views?????
Ha I know right - I feel the same! 😊
1:11 - The Prodigy - Your Love (Remix) !!! 😀
Haha yes it is! So many great vocal chopz from that record ✌️😊
Would love to see one on using Amigo Sampler in ReNoise.
This will 100% happen soon ✌️😊🚀

Really good tutorial.
What is your personal feeling about the sound engine you also use Logic?
I think the sound engine in Maschine is good. It's not particularily unique but none of them really are. People who say Ableton sounds betten that pro tools or Logic are really just stabbing in the dark. I use Renoise also which does actually have a bit of a unique sound compared to the others but its still quite sutble and a lot to do with its sampler. 😊✌️
Thank you for answer.

Wonder if I can send the midi out from the Nerdseq (modular tracker sequencer .. it’s like this but in a module it’s fantastic) and run the midi into Ableton ..
I’ll have to try that
Oh yea that will definitly be possible. I can do route midi from my Digitakt to Renoise/Logic just with basic midi over USB.
wow ur production so profesional
Cheers mate. Been trying to level up my editing/animations a lot this last year so hopefully its paying off! :)
do you have any problems with latency using a MIDI keyboard? I'm using the keystep as well and the latency is really making live playing in almost impossible.
No never had any problems at all with my keystep - works perfectly. I would check midi/usb cabels, hubs, update firmware, test in other DAWs etc.
Raise your sample r8, m8 and lower your audio buffer
