I had powerstops , then made brackets for camaro SS off a 2016, then last weekend bought brackets off my buddy on S10forum (yes he sells them still) and slapped on some C6 Corvette calipers+slotted EBC rotors/Red Stuff pads..Jesus I love them
The 4wd spindles wheel bearing is designed to be held tight by the front axle nut. Had you been able to actually install it on your truck without fwd the wheels would have flew off with the wheel bearings and everything. Very dangerous situation. That's why gm made sure you can't mix match those
Yes, everything plugs right in the steering was a little tighter, but could be improved by changing out the steering box in my set up. You do notice a good difference when you turn
Great vid my guy. Been contemplating if I should do the upgrade on my brakes, but now you convinced me to do so. This may sound dumb, but would the hub from the blazer be the same for the s10? I know that both the blazer and the s10 are very similar but just want to make sure. Again great video
Negative the s10 has the hub integrated into the brake rotor, what I learned from this is just stick to the 2wd blazer and it should be fine. I was having trouble finding them in Houston, that’s why I grabbed the 4wd and ended up not working.
what blazer do i buy this for, what year, I'm building same build I need to know what year and hub spindle replacement, our junkyard just scraps or sell to there buddies
Hey bro, I just did the swap and I left my original brake lines on the S 10 and I cannot get my brakes to bleed up and I put brand new calibers on it. You have any recommendations? Thank you.
Well if you pinched the line with plyers and it’s an old line then more than likely u need to replace them. What I would do first is determine where the blockage is coming from so I would unscrew one line and press the brakes and see if fluid comes out. If fluid comes out from both hoses then you know the issues in the calipers so you might have a blockage
Hey I'm about to do the same conversation to my s10. It's still the 4.3 v6. The question I have is since it will be an everyday driver. Will I need the longer ball joints or is that just for drag racing? If you know let me know. Thanks
I think the ball joints depend on your ride height more than anything since mine sits pretty low to the ground I would say I’m fine riding with the factory length but if you’re anything in the stock height you probably should change them
I'm actually doing a 2/3 drop. Blazer 2 inch drop spindles and 3 inch blocks in the back since I have 20' s on it. Don't want to make to many mods to the wheel well. Atleast for now lol.
Whole lot of work that didn’t need to be done. All you needed to do was brake hose, tie rod and ball joints to disassemble. No need to take off brake caliper and rotor if you were replacing it all
Has to be 2wd I tried 4wd but the orientation of the lower control arm ball joint is different, you could make it work but it involves changing the lower control arm and at that point you might as well just buy some brembos

Nicely done! 2 thumbs up! 👍👍

I use moog problem solver -40 for my uppers. No problems with those. Part#k5208 if you wanna give those a shot. Great vid 👍
Great video and info!! Hey did the abs wire connect to your factory harness? How did the steering feel also after the swap? Thank you.

@@madmike_9343sweet thanks bro I will rebuild my box as well!! 💯👍
Good shit 👏
Need a follow up showing how much they improved the dime🤘
Thx for vid
Great video and info!! Let me ask you did it help with the steering? Did it make your steering feel tighter?
Just a little. I will probably swap out the steering box in the future I think all that will eventually make it feel like new again
4x4 s10s are also the same front brakes I believe with calipers on back as well.
Yea the only thing you need is the 2wd spindles
Also, good job
How did the front end alignment on the truck go for you i am about to install those very same control arms on mine
No effect on alinement, just make sure you keep count of your shims

any 2wd blazer 98-04
@@madmike_9343 your awesome keep up the good work!
I have a s 10 2003 which model and year (blazer )you think will fit. Thanks
For sure mines an 02.
So the spindle you installled is from a blazer? And the hub is for a blazer?
Yes spindle and hub have to be from a 2wd blazer.
So are those brake lines regular blazer brake lines ?
Yes 👍

Wanted to add to that. Thanks for lots of detail man helps alot. Haven't started yet but getting things together. Thanks brother

@@amanezaz2991 nice, maybe buy both types and whatever you don’t use just return it. Especially it it’s your daily
Do you recommend this Upper Control Arms for some drop spindles and springs on the s10?
I’ve seen a lot of people go that route so yes
Looks like you got les range of movement by going to tubular upper
Probably but she’s a low rider so I ain’t worried about it
So if I wanted to add lift spindles to my S10 I would need blazer lift spindles?
Yes if you want to have the larger brake calipers,
Whole lot of work that didn’t need to be done. All you needed to do was brake hose, tie rod and ball joints to disassemble. No need to take off brake caliper and rotor if you were replacing it all
It’s lighter that way
Would you happen to have the part number for the brake pads
I don’t but it’s 98-04 blazer
To find those spindles does blazer have to be a four whl drive or a two wheel drive and what year
Has to be 2wd I tried 4wd but the orientation of the lower control arm ball joint is different, you could make it work but it involves changing the lower control arm and at that point you might as well just buy some brembos
98-05
Please everyone doing this type of swap invest the few extra $$ and get new or rebuilt calipers.
are the brake lines the same from an s10 and a blazer? i just replaced my brake lines but wanna do this mod
The lines are the same but the bolt is different.
Conversion for rear?
Nothing yet coming out next year or sooner
Pull the entire rear end out of the same 2wd blazer you get the spindles from and there’s your conversion
@@tylerpeters6715 yea that’s true, I’m actually doing a 8.8 conversion
Do the factory 15s still fit?
Mine are 16s an there is about 1 1/2 gap in the circumference so it should fit
@@madmike_9343 thanks boss, I'll be at the pull'n'pay this weekend, they have 3 of the 2wd blazers there
