OH REALLY I DIDNT KNOW THAT
No problem thanks for the reupload 👍
knew it sounded familiar
You should pin this comment my dude, it's a little buried by the others
can you do a video on "I have no mouth," but I must scream, please
Bless you, one of the stories I'm rather proud of. Thank you so much for narrating, and sharing it out.
Are you trying to say you wrote this lmao.
@@tesseract5569 indeed I did, actually. At least the story
@@St0n3brus3 What happened Gears, you've been gone for two years, you coming back?
@@tesseract5569 well Gears's real name is Daniel so it is probably gears
Been a bit in and out. Pushing out stuff now and then, but it's been rough. My wife is getting spine surgery, so it's been tough to find the time. Still around, just working in the direction of more activity.
Friday afternoon release, while a pleasant surprise, feels unnatural. Love it
Almost anomalous 😅
Had to double check thought I was seeing things😭
This is a reupload of an old video
@@verdragon5591 Sure is
That just means Sunday we're not getting a SCP
Trying to divine the secrets of the universe from a child’s toy
Love that line
Read it as soon as he spoke it. Chills
@@vranime3772 Same, it sent chills through me mere seconds just before he said it.
I thought your pfp was evil Kermit for a second oh jesus
@@Dalek59862 now I see it and it can’t be unseen 😝 😰
I love this story, and I'm here for a re-upload. The way you deliver this hauntingly beautiful tale is top tier
Ok, 😮💨 I thought I was freaking losing it oss 🤦♀️. I was just wondering like wtf is happening, he did this already…..RIGHT!?😟
😉😅
@@sandrakiefler4649 yeah same.
I was like "wtf I'm sure he already did this years ago".
Kind of dissapointed, Mangg should use the community tab for incidents like these. Now I need to find something other to fall asleep to.
My disappointment is inmeasureble.
@@zapan9643 but, is your day ruined?
I could have sworn you had done this story before but I think I just read through 914 related stuff enough that I remember this in detail, still a great story to go over
Have to agree, as soon as i started listening
Re-uploaded due to changed artwork
Hey! Just wanted to say I’ve watched you’re stuff for you years and have enjoyed all of it. You do a great job and thank you for your dedication.
Imagine completely dedicating every second of your life into making an impossiblly amazing machine but forgetting to put a disclaimer warning people not to put humans inside of it
And the prince got what he deserved.
We don't have to
I absolutely love this tale. The way the actual working of the machine is left unexplained, the innocent fallacy of youth and the abject horror it results in, the way the essential core of the machine survives to this day despite having no reasonable right to do so... it's a force of nature bound to physical form. Supernatural, unearthly, something beyond our understanding enmeshed in mundane mechanisms and materials. And a monster that will not be put down.
The writing really walks that tightrope of telling you enough to set a solid scene while leaving enough to your imagination that it fills in the blanks with what disturbs you most. The art of personalised horror. Even the graphic description of what happened to the princess is subtle enough to let my mind draw it in a way that is, I suspect, uniquely disturbing for me. To be honest, I find a lot of fiction misses the mark around that point, as it often tries too hard to describe the particular vision the author has, which may be utterly terrifying in their head, but loses a lot of its impact when distilled into words. @Daniel D, I wish you and your wife all the best, and hope one day you can return to writing such bloody good stories!
maybe I'm just dumb and this was actually really obvious to everyone else, but I never understood why this entry was called "Clockwork Time" until just now; the pattern to what the machine does to different objects is that it basically transmutes them instantaneously in a way equivalent to how other forces (natural or maybe otherwise) would given a long enough span of *time* , with each setting sort of representing a different span of time compressed into a short process. The problem is that there's no way to select what sort of process of transformation the machine simulates on a given input object, so especially with the "finer" settings, you might end up with some things (such as inorganic materials) transformed in ways that simulate the way that centuries or millennia of material science developments would be able to change a given substance (or like with the example of steel being inserted, what some more advanced futuristic manufacturing process might be able to make out of it), while other things like living creatures can be transformed based on some hypothetical future evolutionary form that creature could become. The "one-to-one" setting might then be meant to turn the input into something else that it could *currently* be.
Or, maybe I'm putting too much thought into the name of this SCP, and that's not the intention at all...
i love it when scp authors use their power of detailed interesting descriptions for things other than monsters. i really liked it in this story, it felt beautiful and intricate without getting too repetative or boring
i also loved the subversions. building on the "if you put a human in, it will come out as a horrible killer monster" precedent and instead having the outcome of the girl held and loved until she died.
Even if it's a reupload, It's still a great video to watch/listen to.
Indeed
Why did it get reuploaded
@@thethinglast5672 IMAGE CHANGE THATS THE REASON
Wait fr
Thank God that I found your comment because I kind of thought that I was going insane lol
Man have I missed regular uploads of scp videos from you.
Me too
He does them every Monday, the hell you on about?
Every other Monday now.
🎉
I cant but image the experiments from Made in Abyss when hearing the description of the princess.
Made my heart sink, thinking of how tragic that arc was.
Bondrewd be crazy
Truly a cruel fate for someone who just wanted to be recognized for his work.
Bonus video? Yes please!!
Reupload
Thank you, stumbled onto your channel about year and a half ago, and you hooked me into this SCP phenomenal universe. Again thank you for your time, your effort, and your dedication to this very vast but gratifying IP.
Oh yes yes, a new Exploring Series video. Perfect timing!
Not sure why you reuploaded this one, but it is one of my favorites of yours to listen to from time to time.
no, its a bad thing and needs to be undone
YEEEESSS!! One of the absolute best SCPs and SCP stories out there! I'm so glad it's getting more coverage!
A classic tale, one of my favorite ones too, You did a great job at the narration, thank You for sticking with the SCP community even though its not very lucrative.
I dont really have time to find and read the wiki nowadays, but because of You ive been able to enjoy the work of many talented writers of the foundation. It means a lot to me, thank You for Your wonderful work over the years
To me, this is the scariest of all SCP stories. No monsters, no external threat, no end of the world...
But the horrors made by a naive young boy, that could've been anybody. The morbid curiosity that fades into horror of your own actions.
I've had this feeling once before in my life, of when I (not so expertly) vivisected a slug, just to understand how such a creature worked. It wasn't out of malice, but... curiosity I think. I was just wondering how it did the things it did... As you can imagine, I didn't find any logical parts (cogs, screws or such) that I was familiar with, but with viscera. And in that moment, I realised that what was in that slug, was also in me. And how easily I had destroyed a living being... I can't describe how absolutely *DISGUSTING* it felt, how awfully alien everything was at that moment. It almost made me vomit, thinking of my own actions... I've never done anything like that again until university. I ended up studying biology, but I tend towards botanics. I still have that curiosity to understand how things work, but it's tempered by that true horror I felt as a kid.
I know that what I did was awful, and I tortured an innocent life. As a biologist, you have to do stuff (disections and other things) that come close to what I did back then. Blending living animal tissue for fractioning proteins for instance... but I never feel good about it. At the start, I had guilt, but after a while, you get conditioned to the things you need to do. Again, I'm not proud of it, or feel good about it. But this SCP reminds me of the disgust at my own actions. True horror.
Love your work. I'll follow you till the end of days lol
Great vid. Nice seeing your story telling vocals improve over time. Keep em coming dadio!
This is one of my favorite stories from the SCP catalog. Thank you!
Just rewatched the 7676 video. Gotta be my favorite.
Didn’t know it was done into a reupload but this is awesome regardless.
This is one of my favorite ones you did
This is the author dr gears own interpretations of the origin of scp 914 the clockwork machine that creates and improves stuff
You...already posted this video before. I just listened to it like 2 weeks ago
Alright!!!! Another video I'm so excited
That last sentence really make the whole story work
I could have sworn you’ve done this one before, I have a very vivid memory of a video of yours about 3 years ago reading this exact article, it had a difficult thumbnail though
ok, that has got to be one of the best stories you've pulled from the SCP archive. amazing!
I found this 5 minutes after it was posted but like always I wait tell I can set and fully enjoy listening without interruptions . this time it was 8 hours before I got to hear it in full but as always well worth the wait .
One of my favorite SCP's. Thank you TES for delivering such excellent content! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Seeing a reupload gave me the idea that It would be great if you remade some of your earlier/shorter videos and add in associated tales or verbatem readings
My thoughts on Friday posting as ~4 year sub:
Good.
I fall asleep listening to these and feel much better in the day.
Recently, posts were to late for me on Sundays (~11 AM) and I've been meaning to say this somehow not egotisticaly.
100%
I literally never get excited for videos like I get excited for your videos, hell yeah you made my night after a long, long day at work! Thanks Mangg
Nothing feels better than getting a new episode on a Friday after work ❤😊
Not new, reupload
Wow right as my shift started, perfect timing!
This is one of the classics, I swear you had a video on it already.
He did. Not entirely sure why he re-upload it
Omg I'm so happy you came out with a video today I needed it
Been on spotify for a while. Glad to see and hear on youtube
Great story about SCP-914.
914 is my favorite SCP! Toss in another copy of 17 again!
Love this one. Your narration is excellent as always.
I had a distinct false memory of you having read this tale before. Perhaps I simply imagined it in your voice
No I think he did. The little girl goes into the machine and something les comes out and he gets thrown in the dungeon essentially. I think it's a reupload.
Had to change the thumbnail I believe, so he re-uploaded/re-mastered it
2 uploads this week your amazing thank you
Bless you for posting on a Friday. I needed this.
I am so thankful that you are still doing scp! I was under the impression that you were going to be doing Warhammer from now on and stop producing SCP. So you have a happy customer here lol!
Hey, what a pleasant surprise :) I love this tale
He's the GOAT for a reason!!
I clicked on this for the story, but I own that pocket watch... at the front of the video. Like literally the same style of skeletal backing and chain
This story is pretty much the best parable for the Sunk Cost Fallacy I've ever heard.
A Friday/Saturday release? Unthinkable, yet also praiseworthy.
Addendum: Hmm, the others say this is a reupload. If so, what's been changed from the original release, TES?
That was a good one, not a single advert in the video, and no interruptions just the story.
Moral of the story, don't shove people into a mass of gears and machines. It'll mess them up pretty bad.
finally a mekhane article to make me not hate the church of the broken god. so often they are passionless and cold and this one is so not that.
thought it was monday when i saw this. i am so happy to have another vid by u
I've been waiting so long for this
This is a reupload
@@gummyboots well I missed it the first time. I ain't making it out the D-class but aye
Pretty good Tale. Awash of emotions and horror. Thanks 👍
hewoo again
I very much like your immersive and somewhat personal(?) style of storytelling
In my humble personal opinion, The Volgun is your close second in SCP fandom based content,
Please, don`t ever stop being your gorgeous creative enthralling self!
I`m never going to stop watching your videos
WHA-WHA-WHAT!!!! It isn't a Sunday. BLESSED ARE WE FROM OUR LORD MANNG
This is possibly my favorite T. E. S episode!!! Seriously. I feel deja vu? 🤔
An Exploring video on a Friday of a long weekend is the best SCP
Another excellent narration. Thank you
Babe, wake up. Exploring series just uploaded an SCP related video.
Wooooohooo this is a nice surprise! Thank you
A reupload but a welcome one. One of my favorites 👍👍
Hey man love your vids been with you for a long time!!! I want to ask though can you do the tyranids in 40k?
Love your scp work but I’ve been watching you since your Greek gods days.I will dutifully watch all your content as long as you make it
What a perfect gift for a rainy day.
fun fact: the picture Doctor Gears uses as has profile picture on the SCP wiki is a picture of Albert Hoffman, the chemist who created LSD, and Gears didn't even know it was a picture of him at the time
Thank you again for another scp
was not expecting to wake up to this.
thanks for the surprise !!!!
Idk where I actually heard whole story but I remember the inventor gets offended bye the king so he makes it cuz he knows the young prince would use on his sis maybe. Yep the Faberge egg. Ty so much !!!!
3:52 - "upsetting the delicate sensibilities of the young lord" 🤣
Sounds like the bastard knew the young prince better than the advisor did...
6:33 - "the constant nagging drain of interaction slowed down the work"
Introverts represent!
Seeing this made me genuinely second guess what day it was. I got a little worried for a second.
oh! One of my Fave SCPs. Thank you for the upload❤❤❤
So well written and SO creepy! Always been one of my favorite tales since I first read it years ago. Thanks Mangg, very well done as usual.
Creepy? It's just tragic... there's nothing really creepy about it.
@@tuckvison The description of the princess is pretty unnerving. Obviously the whole story is very sad & tragic yes but unless you’re being pedantic lol then yes it definitely is very creepy 😄
Achievement get: The Fabergé Bastard
Become angry enough to start giving rise to anomalous phenomena through the power of sheer rage.
Santa Claus and Krampus would love to be friend with this toy maker
Yesss ty for another scp vid maang I can't fall asleep without your voice no more lol 😅😅😅❤
Hey! For some reason i haven’t been seeing your vids in my recommended anymore :( I’m glad i checked my subs this is a great surprise!! Thank you for all the hard work and effort that you put into these vids!
A new upload for Exploring Series, a surprise, but a pleasant one to be sure!
Oooh. You're covering my favorite SCP! I look forward to hearing you read out loud it's origin story.
Darn my joke got erased…
*Throws Dirty Pair blu rays into the machine and sets it to “Very Fine”.*
Hey, is Gears back? Fuck yeah Dan, kick ass! Love your work brother!
ITS NOT A MONDAY, YOU GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK
Deja Vu! Yet its better this time! Thank you for everything you do! ❤
My dude you are an artist!
We all must have done something good to get a surprise release!
Lol, I actually have that watch that I use for cosplays X3
Really good watch, it's a wind-up and it's cool seeing the gears move :3
This reading is fantastic. Thanks bro.
Great jobb. Love your SCP videos.
So hyped to see another SCP video!!!
FYI for anyone wondering why this vid is a reupload:
The original video had a copyright issue due to an artwork used in it, this also happend to the scarlet king video a while back
Great video!! Could you do more aquatic SCPs? I really like falling asleep to them 🥹
Very good video. The clockworks is a very interesting scp.
wasnt this covered before on this channel?
i swear i remember something like that
It's was, possibly a remaster??
