Lore wise, there is a deletion that can actually kill it but I doubt it will happen
I'm about 99.9% sure I've seen 682 perma killed before. In fact I'm sure, more than once. It's invulnerability depends entirely upon how much the current author likes it. I personally don't like it much, at all. But it normally doesn't have magical or reality bending powers so you could just put it on a rocket and fire it at a super massive black hole many lights years away.
@@whitemagus2000 so far, and I know nothing is canon, but so far the ONE AND ONLY thing that was able to kill SCP-682 was that one SCP that is a fully accessible alternate universe in where every living being is dead, including nature like plants and grass, and people.

Considering how you compare all the rest of this SCP article to a computer, that deleting things doesn't make them actually disappear, and giving new SCPs the number of past deleted ones end up "corrupting" the new SCP leads me to compare the "deleting hallway" to a "bad sector" on a harddrive. If something is "put" into a "bad sector" on a harddrive, it more often than not instantly corrupts the file "put" there.
I'm pretty sure it's a meta-commentary about the moderation enforcement on the scp wiki

Love the "Everything Everywhere All At Once" reference Billith makes. He even says how the Deletion agents are like mini-Jobu Tupakis, experiencing many lives at once but also endless deaths at once.
Makes me wonder if TES is gonna explore some SCPs and Tales based on Multiverse crises akin to the film, animation like Rick and Morty, and a buttload of superhero films nowadays (particularly the Spider-Verse installments).

@@IplayTeemoasaWard Well, there are, alas, a few that I can remember right now, but the likes of Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (especially if combined with the DC Animated Universe Justice League animated show and its "A Better World" storyline), and the aforementioned Spider-Man: Into and Across the Spider-Verse are all worthwhile to me are good enough superhero film examples.
I really appreciate that you still use (and credit!) actual art instead of AI stuff. Details in real art are actually deliberate, so letting your eyes wander while listening is interesting and rewarding. Thanks!

Something not mentioned in the video (and might have just been a bug but i don't think so) is when you view the final image the article "deletes" itself and all that's left is the image, and the words does not exist and deleted

The Admonition canon is really one of my favorite. From the very stone cold aspect of the fondation being fore front, the very complex subject and the existential thinking that comes with it, coupled with some really mind-bending themes, this is some lore I love to dig myself into.
Researcher: Sooo, we've got these hallways that are making stuff disappear. Nothing that goes in ever comes out. Not even people.
Supervisor: Huh. Do we know what's happening to that stuff?
Researcher: No idea. But it must be being destroyed or at least inescapably entrapped if even people don't come back.
Supervisor: How do you figure?
Researcher: How could you not want to come back to all this?!
Supervisor: ...anyway, moving on...
Researcher: So we figured it would make a great garbage disposal system.
Supervisor: And we have no, repeat NO, idea what's actually happening to what goes in.

I've been listening to this channel for years now and this is by far my favorite channel when it comes to anything SCP. Thank you for your years of dedicated, quality content and I look forward to seeing when you finally hit that 1 million mark.
Something that I wished TES mentioned was that, once you click the final image of the article, everything else completely vanishes, save for *[DELETED] does not exist*
That was probably one of the few times that an SCP article legitimately spooked me.
For some reason this is reminding me of the realm of the Could’ve-Been-King with his army of Meanwhiles & Neverweres. - Tho I guess this would be better described as the realm of the Used-To-Be-King, with an army of Once-Was’s & Not-To-Be’s.

This was really interesting. I always like SCP articles that involve large amounts of testing. It's cool to see what happens in these versions of the Foundation and the different types of testing they do and how the different author('s) write something unique.

This isn't a criticism of TES at all but more an observation on the nature of modern SCP articles, but like, what is the SCP here? Remember when SCP's were things you could give an easy elevator pitch like "a bottomless staircase?" Mangg noted that views were down and I have to wonder if it's just the nature of what SCP is like now that causes it. While I enjoy it, entries like this one feel a lot less accessible than older entries and in many ways are a lot less fun. When I think about it, it feels inevitable that SCP gets more convoluted as time passes because so many of the simpler concepts have already been done and you're forced to be complicated to be unique. I don't know what my point is, it's just a feeling I wanted to express.
I'm in the same boat dude. I love this channel and will always support the content, but the newer SCPs all seem like stories rather than entities. I think you summed it well with elevator pitch verbiage.
Don't fret, you're exactly on point, and I'm optimistic enough to expect a renaissance of sorts.
Like any form of media, if it exists for too long without any new innovative change, it becomes stagnant. Take Battle Royal for example. When when PUBG was at its peak, everyone was talking about how the Battle Royal genre was the next big thing in gaming. Now, there's so many Battle Royale games, they all practically feel and play the same. The style mat be different, but the core principles remain the same.
Me personally, I never liked the idea of having redacted entries in any given SCP. It feels cheap, almost like a cop out. Chekhov's gun needs to be implemented in any and all SCP documents from here on out in my opinion.
Bro the SCiPs are ultimately just props, they aren't what the sight is actually about, read the stories, Et Tam Deum Petivi is a good cannon and it's a complete one but a lot of the 1-offs are good too
No one really reads the Tales pages, so when people want to write a story in the SCP setting they feel the need to put it in as an SCP
