Finally a program with people with fibromyalgia, chronic pain and fatigue in mind. Time and time again I’ve tried to get back into some kind of fitness routine and never made it past a week. Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️

A fun bit of encouragement for those new to the channel....I've been doing Suzanne's workouts for just over a month now, only 10 to 30 minutes a day, with fibromyalgia & fatigue. I'm so used to being un-toned & flabby, that when I catch glimpses of my muscles moving in my peripheral vision as I do daily tasks I have a mini freak out that something is on my arm or leg....but it's just new bits of me! Thanks, Suzanne, that's extra cardio, that is!

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia for about three years. Prior to my extreme fatigue and chronic pain, I loved my running and dancing sessions to keep me fit. I’ve yet to find something to help me stay motivated and in shape. Your workouts give me hope in getting back into the right direction for movement! Thanks!!

I know this is an older video of yours, but I have been doing this two days a week for a few months now, I found out I have Lupus in 2022 and Fibromyalgia in 2019 and am only 38 years old. With this and a yoga video I have found to do, I am FINALLY able to work out again without being in horrible pain afterwards or being down for days after and am losing the extra weight I need to be healthier! Thank you!💖💖💖💖💖💖

Loved watching this one and will let you know how I do. I’ll do modifications since I’m dealing with spinal arthritis, but should be fine. I’ll let you know. Talked to my DO yesterday and mentioned you to him and when I told him you were doing MIIT for chronic pain sufferers he said “hey, I like the sound of that for you.” He wants to know how I’m doing with your workouts too. I’m so fortunate to have him as my doctor since his focus is sports medicine. Thank you for sharing Suzanne and I think you can add arthritis to the list of ailments your workouts make better.

Loved this workout. It definitely got the heart rate up and I could definitely feel the burn on a lot of those exercises! It is 37°C outside today here in Victoria, Australia 🇦🇺 and I really didn't feel like going outside for a walk so this workout helped me make up for it. 😊 Thank you. I actually feel excited to do your workouts rather than dreading them because I know you have made it in a way that won't leave me feeling exhausted and pained or lead to a fibro flare up! And if I'm in too much pain I know I can select a stretching routine or shorter workout and feel a lot better for it. 🥰

I loved this one, too, though I kind of missed your words of encouragement!
The only tricky bit was the stretch at the end of the cool down when my head was facing my feet, I kept looking up to see if you were done yet & cricked my neck...though I can see that a non talking workout would be great for those antisocial days when we don't want to talk to anyone.
Thanks for another great workout....I've been avoiding the cardio ones, but my laboured breath is telling me that I really shouldn't be!

    • @CocolimeFitness
      @CocolimeFitness  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Yeah I finally decided that for the cardio I need to not talk. I just get too winded and I lose my coordination😆, I am sure you all understand. But I am so happy you liked it. Good tip on the stretching part though. I could record that part and just not the cardio section because its harder to follow, love that idea! Thanks Megan

My first time finding one of your videos. It was tough today as I have once again lost a lot of strength due to Fibromyalgia and not being able to get to the gym for a few months. But it is so nice following a workout video and not having to figure out how to make the accomodating move even more accommodating 😅. I swear most of the time I do a completely different workout than what most videos actually want you to follow 😂.

You can do it too I promise😁
The problem when exercising with chronic pain is that the first few weeks are really the worst and most difficult, and so many believe it makes them worse and they give up. Or you could be like I was when I got diagnosed and continue to approach exercise like a crazy person and then feel like you got hit by a train the next day and then can't exercise for a week! I always had the belief that it had to hurt to work. Wow was I wrong. There is no need to overdo it to get results and there is no need to limit it too much because you are in pain. When you find the right balance everything improves. It is the mindset towards exercise that really matters. I know you can will love it. And if cardio is too exhausting for you you can always do my other more gentle routines seated from my website here:

I loved this one! It was fun because it was constantly dynamic and different. The music was fun, also. However, without your voice I was a little late to pick up the next move because I tent to close my eyes or look away or I become super uncoordinated for some reason. Maybe adding in a sound effect or voice over for change of moves would be helpful. Thanks as always ❤️

If you are particularly stiff yes a light warm up would be good as well as a longer stretch at the end.

not sure if this question will be seen but is this good for weight loss also or should i fat burn first an then use the tone an cardio or will it all help me to get this weight off?

Any form of cardio will help you burn calories, which will ultimately help you to lose weight. But to burn fat specifically during a routine you would need to get your heart rate up consistently to a moderate intensity for at least 20 minutes in a row. This a great way to get some cardio in though without stressing your body up. Do it 2-3 times through a week and you will burn calories which in time helps you lose weight. I hope this helps.

danm I can barely do 10 mins straight due to my lupus an fibro, I feel doomed to be medication fat forever! ty so much for taking the time to respond, I will just keep building my body up to doing more an more each day an hope it finally gives up an starts dropping sooner or later :)

I understand. I agree all of my newer workouts have voice overs now so I look forward to having you try them.

I'm sure this is a great workout for most beginners but it's too much for people with true fibromyalgia pain. If you have it, you know what I'm talking about. What we need is slower paced and separate arm movements from lower body movements with modifications shown as you go.

I understand how you're feeling. I completely agree that for many people with fibromyalgia what you're saying is true, however the workouts I make here are for people who have a little bit higher level of mobility and a little bit less pain than it sounds like you have been dealing with. Hang in there. I know you will find something that works good for you. Take care -Suzanne
