We never even got to AE:L chapter 6. And no hurry at all, 2021 AE will be even better.

4:30 a better design would be to invert, what is not covered is powered, covered is hidden. 5:14 - 5:19 was that a breach there right in the center, the wobbly black thing? 18:20 it would be even cooler if the game demanded you unlock Xaxos first. That would be psychologically rewarding.
20:02 the any player suffers text should not be above the 6 but above the arrow from 5 to 6. on top of the 6 should be the text Bury instead. No idea how ascension works, it sure does look threatening ;-) 23:25 totally not a casino. The distribution is known and it is without replacing, which makes it awesome.
I really appreciated the writing in AE:L. Glad to hear they''ve even improved on their writing skills.
5:14 - that's an artifact of the greenscreen i'm using to overlay the card closeups. the shade of green in the picture was too close to the greenscreen backdrop :)
23:25 true, after you've killed a few, you have a better than even chance of your bet paying off. however, there are also events that cause the deck to be reset, switching back to a 50/50 bet (whcih i appreciate is still way better odds than any casino would give)

Is this KS an expansion where I need the base game or is this a stand alone set where I can start Aeon’s End?
outcasts is a standalone game, but can also function as an expansion if you've got previous aeon's end stuff :)

Can you play with xaxos mechanic in the other game?? Do you just replace gravehold by xaxos??
Do you think there will be more market cards or the one you showed is all that is available?
yes, xaxos can be added to any play session (though i guess it would be weird if he's the actual nemesis you fight) :)
if you check out the kickstarter page, there are some extra market cards planned as stretch goals :)

Looks like the breaches in this are gonna be larger like Mazra’s is in The Ancients which is slightly disappointing
I have all of Aeon’s End up to now. Played through the original, War Eternal and Legacy, yet New Age is sitting on my shelf unplayed. I was determined to pass on this one. But now after watching this video, it reminded me how much I love this game. I will break out New Age and I will be backing Outcasts.
And for those that mention the high costs. I went back to my Excel spreadsheet with all my Kickstarters and I noticed that the prices haves been roughly the same (shipping has increased somewhat over the years).

Hi there, I’m sorry to say I don’t have any insider information about future syphon filter plans. Based on the success of Days Gone, I would assume my former co-workers have to keep focusing on that, but you never know 😊

Should I start with Aeons End original game? I hear many folks say Aeon's End "New Age" is better. Thoughts, anyone?
I started with New Age as my first game and I think it works really well as an introductory box!
New Age or Legacy is the best entry point depending on your preferences.
@@uxjared Thanks, I'll probably tri Legacy, then New Age, and go from there. I'm looking at playing it in a co-op mode - 2 player.
@@Faultyjoe 2 player is the best imo, with solo a close second (true solo or duel mage). But the game scales good from 1-4 players.
legacy is definitely the best way to go, it's perfectly designed to introduce the game :)
What are the unique starters for Arachnos and Dezmodia?

As for Qu. There is expansion - The Ancients, which came out with New Age as compilation of that project stretch goals, she comes in two forms (attack or defense), haven't played her yet, but this version of Qu seems not as interesting as that one. Also would be strange to play randomized game with two different Dezmodia's :P

Don't see the point of getting the KS. Just wait for retail. Cheaper!
That's true of almost all Kickstarter projects... but since the Kickstarter extras for all the Aeon's End projects have been bundled up and sold as small expansions, it's actually less true for AE than most people think. Depending on the exact discount you're getting from a particular store, it may still be cheaper to buy retail, but it'll be close and you get it much sooner from the Kickstarter.
yes, plus the more that back on kickstarter, the better the final game will be due to stretch goal unlocks. plus there are some kickstarter exclusive cards, it seems...

well, she was a mysterious unnamed figure during the events of the into the wild expansion, doing mysterious things. it's revealed who the mysterious figure was in outcasts :)
I own everything for aeons end .. I think I will pass on this ks .. it’s way over priced compared to just picking it up retail .. with 3 ks pledges all ready and every expansion owned and promos owned I have more then I could play in my life time !
I'm in the same boat. Haven't even started on New Age. No bigger storage solution.
So far I've never seen anyone that claims the Kickstarter is overpriced that took into consideration the fact that you get two small box expansions as extras. Discounts are high enough you may still end up paying a little more, but it's well below suggested retail and it's delivered much sooner.
I would say it roughly close to the same price ! What I’m referring to is basically getting the base game .. your not really saving much .. 42.99 for the last base game add the expansions and free shipping pretty close to the same . Even though your getting two small box expansions from the ks and u add in shipping it’s not much different then getting retail . While one box is labeled promo and ks exclusive your still pretty much paying for it .
Yeah... if you had originally said it was close to the same price as retail, I wouldn't have bothered to comment. What you said was that it was overpriced compared to retail. Not much different from retail, and you get it several months before it shows up in retail.
Having it show up several weeks before it hits retail isn’t a big deal for me or from what I’m gathering from other people who have yet to play last Yrs game .. I guess it boils down to do I need another and or more of a game I have a ton of and more then enough to play or invest in another ks .. guess that’s what it boils down to .. and just pick up the base game at retail for about 1/2 the price .
Yeah still no big box for all of the crap, more cash grab. I probably should get around to New Age, but I'm afraid I have too much junk for this as it is.
there already is a big box: AE: Legacy. once you finish it, toss the insert and you've got room for everything and plenty to spare :)

@@JayChampagne aeons end is one of the few deckbuilders where you don't need to sleeve the cards though
@@rahdo I made an insert for the Legacy box. It still won't hold everything currently released for Aeon's End, even without sleeving cards.
@@Gustave154 I am deeply saddened that you do not understand my profound, almost pathological, need to sleeve deckbuilding games. Also, Crooked Mask makes you shuffle.
