- This will be a mostly spoiler-free playthrough of the Level 1 expedition. I use cards that you will see the first time you play, but do not read the story. However I do spoil the changes to Gravehold, so make sure you want to see that. Also let me know if you want the expedition to continue! Thanks! I am quite happy with this box so far!

25:20 You missed the rule: effects that "focus" a breach would open fully focused breach instead. So you definitely "open" with "last" focus.

Great game! I played the whole campaign in 2 days. Zhana and Taqren rock! And some Nemesis are so fun to play. The best Aeon's end so far.
Awesome!! Did you find you used xaxos much out of curiosity?
@@OneStopCoopShop I played him a lot. It costs 8 charges but the results are very powerful. It is a strategy to try to play Xaxos. It is only an option, you can ignore him and focus on your own mages. There 3 or 4 cards that give Xaxos charges and I bought a lot of that kinda cards. Without those cards, I don't know if this is worth trying to play Xaxos.

I would love to see you continue the Expedition! All the other channels are doing spoiler story campaign which I cannot watch! :'( And I would love to see more of how one of my favourite Mages handles herself in her old age! :)

I watch everything you do, but AE is one of my favorite games(haven't played anything after War Eternal though), so I'd totally be happy with a full expedition :-) That said, play what you want! It's always great.

Thanks glad it was helpful! I would say this box is a solid choice although difficulty is higher on this one for sure. If you are just starting with Aeon's End a solid choice is Legacy as it introduces mechanics gradually. Otherwise New Age would be my other suggestion as it started this "expedition" mode! Hope that helps!

You chose well your 2 first mages. I chose them too for the campaign and well... 4 fights, 4 victories! They are so efficient and powerful.

@@OneStopCoopShop then I replayed the campaing with Ilya and Kel. 4 fights, for a winning rate of 50%. They're supposed to play best together, and thematically it makes sense but it doesn't work. They're very classical mages and slow, compared to the mother and his son. Then I chose to play with Qu ans Taqren for the third boss: easy win. Then for the last Nemesis: Qu and Thraxir. An easy win. For me Ilya and Kel are the weaker mages of Outcasts so far. More important: I found them boring to play. All the others I played were fun.

Hi Colin, thanks for this playthrough! Outcast is my first Aeon's End and with your video (playing over and over again:-)) I managed to kill the Experiment 153 Nemesis. Now I am ready for the second nemesis but I have some misunderstandings with the set up rules for the next game. The rule book says I need to draw randomizer cards to add to my Barracks but I did not find any in my Outcast box. Are those cards from another Aoen's end?
Huh intruding! Mine came with randomizers which I used to add new cards to the barracks! You could maybe make your own?

I wanted to start Aeon's end I wanted outcast but seems not chellanging enough so is it better to get War Eternal? I love chellanging games
I personally feel both would qualify as a challenge! Outcasts is newer so I would recommend it!
The top ten cards of this deck are the Curse deck. Set them faceup next to the nemesis mat. See page 10 of the rulebook for more information.
• Then, if you are playing with 1/2/3 players, discard the top 7/5/3 cards of the nemesis deck.
It looks you missed remove top 7 cards from Curse desk. Could you confirm please if need remove or not

hey im new to this game, i want to ask question
this aeon's end : outcast it is the base game or expansion pack? i want to buy aeon's end but there are so much edition for this game and make me confuse which one the base game which one the expansion
It is kind of both. It is a standalone set, but can be combined with other sets.
At this point the sort of “official OSCS advice” for the game is to buy Outcasts and/or New Age first. The expedition system and storyline they add in the game for those sets is great. Then if you love it you can get the original core set or war eternal to add more content

I didn't play Lucien yet. He seems fun and original but the fact that you have to close the breaches right after you cast the spell make me think he will not be so efficient. I mean, generally in Aeon's end, at the end of the fight, you're supposed to have at least 3 breaches opened and unleash you more powerful spells before the Nemeses knock you out or reach its specific winning condition. You generally have a lot of spells and use you aether to charge your power or to purchase other spells. But with Lucien, you use that aether over and over to open your breaches. And if you only have spells, and no aether: you're stuck with your cards and can do litterally nothing! You got to be extremely careful with this character and have a balanced amount of aether and spells or pray to have a market that allow you to purchase cards that focus your breaches. Well, it's a challenge. I have to play him! 😁😁😁
Yeah I TOTALLY agree I think he will be super challenging but also super rewarding if you can get him to work! Remember he does have Breach I that is open to start with so you have that at least! Thanks for watching and good luck with your adventures!
The second breach also gives you 2 monies so you can essentially keep it open at all times if you don't need it for a power etc. I really enjoyed the playstyle but it helps to have focussing relics/treasures
