I just ordered Aeon's End 2nd edition and Aeon's End War Eternal with all available in my langue expansions (4) to mix it all for more spells and fun. I play almost 20 years in other card games so im sure this is something for me
A few thoughts about the expansions:
New Age: The best one, I think. The new content is great, but it also adds the expedition mode. As Rahdo said in his review (pretty sure it was him anyway), that mode is so good that there's no reason to go back to the normal mode. I gotta agree with that. Note that this contains huge spoilers for the story stuff in Legacy. Also, this expansion gets better and better when you have more bosses to choose from, due to how the expedition mode works. Still, this is easily the best of all of them.
Legacy: Nice thing about this is that unlike alot of other Legacy games, 75% of the content in here is fully compatible with all of the normal content. So it's not a "play it once and never use any of it again" sort of thing, it really is a true expansion. Out of 7 different bosses, only 2 are incompatible, if I recall. Even the custom characters you build up (and their special cards) are also compatible. Though they can be a bit overpowered in normal play... New Age's expedition mode has specific rules that keeps them balanced without removing anything. The one issue with Legacy is that the difficulty can spike either really high, or drop really low. If you make bad decisions in terms of progression, it can get super hard to the point where you'll get stomped over and over. But if you go in already knowing what you're doing, it can become super easy. When I played through, even the final boss was no challenge whatsoever (though he is when in normal play or the expedition mode). Still, the whole experience of Legacy was really good.
War Eternal: It doesnt have any funky gimmicks, but there's quite a bit of content here. The game has evolved since the base version, and it shows. Alot more creativity and unique ideas among both the mages and the bosses. Has about the same amount of content as the base game.
Small box expansions: These are mostly about getting new bosses to fight. Those are what create the most variability to the game. But really they all have lots of great content overall. I would definitely get the large expansions first though.
Anyway, it's really nice to see this game show up on your channel. This one is easily my favorite board game, and the one that got me into the hobby in the first place. I've got all of the content and it was worth every penny. I hope you guys continue to enjoy it and do some more videos/streams of it.

the new age is really good, only thing that bugged me is the power creep. The breach mages are too OP compared to the older one. especially Gygar... but its probably only because of some of the markets cards combo

@@RobsGamingTable More of a rhitoric question tbh! I mean half cards of this game are gems thats are used to buy cards from a limited pull! Not so many options! It seems boring! I dont understand how this game is said to be the best deck building game! It has a cool theme but but but! U got my like anyways coz your playthrough of any game are precious!

But from many videos i figured that there are indeed few card choices to build your dec and u sure need expansions for some extra variety! But then the cost rises! I like the theme of this game i just hate the fact that u have limited choices on .the market card pool! Actually i dont own any specific card game building! I am looking for one that it give u a chance to build a deck with many options! But i think all such games like arkham horror, lotr, need expansions! So its a tough choice! Sorry for my poor English btw!
play 2 handed solo
Solo is unplayable and hard
they changed a rules in the new age or legacy. You now play with 4 player turn order cards instead of 3. Makes the game doable. Some people say its too easy. I DONT CARE , i like winning :D
