That blue ES in the back is stunning! I own a 2023 IS350 F Sport myself in that color. But, I will say the IS is missing power folding mirrors. Dustin, do you know why Lexus didn't put power folding mirrors on the IS but every other vehicle in the Lexus lineup has that feature?
Hi Dustin Thanks for answering my question ❤ 2 things. 1. I am 5’0 120lbs the F sport seats are not too comfortable to me, but I sacrifice for the look of a Fsport lol 😂 2. Would you agree that the materials in Lexus are not to the same level they were pre 2022. I have had Lexus products from 2008 and up the leather, wood, and trims are much better quality than now. I have a 24 NX fsport and find the materials awful, but I do think it’s because the technology is vastly improved. Spend in one area or another 😊. I don’t think the new Lexus/ Toyota products will last as long as older versions with all the new engines and technology we will be purchasing cars every few years instead of 20 plus years. Still have a 99 Tacoma everything original no problems. 😊
Lexus is known for its reliability. That’s it butter and bread to appeal to a specific higher end demographic. They’re not about to comprise this - it’s not going away from losing its reliability. I highly doubt it
@@Rissybear Most recently for the NX yes, because there were two most recent recalls. But overall, still treading over other luxury brands. Once they work out the kinks in whatever is wrong, they will definitely return to being number one.
I can answer the last question. Lexus will move towards hybridisation so those models probably with have a h suffix behind the model number eg ES300h, UX300h. We already have these models in other markets currently. Their electrification is “not there yet” (ux300e was a failure I guess) and their RZ is not a good electric car. So my prediction is hybrids moving forwards for now.
The ask is specific to whether the v6 is EOL, not the obvious popularity and hybridization of Toyota and Lexus lineup. I take exception to the RZ not being a good car. The issue is BEV is over invested and Toyota made a bet that consumers weren't ready for full electrification. The bet has paid off and hybrids and plug in hybrids are selling very well. Margins are very good because the most expensive part of any electric vehicle is the battery and the battery in hybrids are much smaller (Lexus is having really great sales and Toyota is posting record profits despite a decrease in sales). OTOH, many manufacturers (including Lexus) are losing a lot of money on every BEV they are sellling. Besides, if you look at the green rating of the cars you will find PHEV and HEVs topping the list. Even the RZ has a better overall environmental score they every single Tesla model out there. That will eventually change as tech improves but right now the greenest cars are PHEVs from a toyota and Lexus.
There was a RZ review by Car Care Nut, he’s a Toyota Lexus mechanic, and his channel is quite credible. You can check it out to see what he says. Lexus strengths are in their hybrids, that’s why these sell more than their EVs. But I guess Lexus has to start from somewhere. Perhaps in time their EVs will get better. I’m also a Lexus owner and they are a good brand, it’s just their forte is not EVs. Take their UX300e for example, their first EV. It was discontinued in some markets due to lack of ownership. As for the V6 being end of life, we can take reference from the recent Camry. They no longer sell V6, they are all in hybrid power trains. My info may be inaccurate as it may vary from country to country, but this is based on what I know currently. So if you want a V6, now is probably the time to buy it and keep it before it’s eventually gone.
Hey Dustin, great Q&A. I was wondering if you could tell me why my 2024 RX 350 beeps several times when I lock it? It doesn’t do it all the time but I haven’t figured out why.
* * Here is a straight question that requires a truthful answer: I am a Lexus guy for the past 24 years. I hear a lot of horror stories here in US regarding RX'es made in Cambridge, CA. Knowing that the RX is made in Canada only and also knowing about the TAKUMI tradition available only at the Tahara factory, (all my Lexus have been made in Japan) why would I buy anything else - Lexus brand - but made in Japan.? * *
Truthful answer is because you have no choice but to buy a CA built car. It is just buying a different product that enables certain overall price point and availability at a different risk profile. It is just a culmination of economies of scale + decision making to enhance shareholder value and customers have no choice to either buy and accept risk or not buy and move on to another product
@@bjsimon802 Does any japanese that embraced the TAKUMI tradition works at that plant? Do canadians even understand what this concept is? Let's get real!

Hi Dustin, I’m a Lexus owner. Driving the previous gen IS. I noticed Lexus have this blend door issue or airflow issue. It happens when you toggle the circulation mode to blow air to your feet, windscreen then back to the face but the air won’t come out from the vents anymore. Another issue is hot air coming out from one side (either driver or passenger) but cold air on the other. I know these are fault code issues but have these issues been fixed in current models?
Hello Dustin, When we want to lock the windows (glass) on the 2025 Lexus NX 450h+ F Sport, What do we press so that no one can open/or close it. Also, when we try to activate the car alarm by shaking the door, it will not sound the alarm, how do we activate the alarm.
Why is my car not picking up my user profile when i get in with bluetooth on? i get in and it doesn't recognise me as the driver, so the chair does not change to my profile
Market size. Lexus was a brand made originally for the North American market and the market here is still the largest. OTOH there are Lexus models not even sold in the US or Canada because the market is different.
The question of how does the handling of a IS vs a NX differ? Thats really interesting people do not know the answer, the difference is the IS has a lower center of gravity then the NX. Hell any SUV vs a car, the car will handle and turn better then any SUV due to that FACT alone....
In the IS you can feel the drive even though it's a comfortable car, the NX is very detached IS good for spirited driving, NX forget it. Amazing how people expect an SUV to handle like a car. Ridiculous actually. It also feels cheap compared to the IS.
I have owned Lexus since 2007 and could see and feel the difference from Toyota. Why is Toyota making less and less difference between the 2? The GX and Land Cruiser are the same, the TX and Grand Highlander is the same and I feel they had to spell out LEXUS on the rear so you could tell its not a Toyota. Nothing special about Lexus anymore, even the dealership experience has degraded. It is sad to see and now dropping the 6 and 8 cyl for the 4 and 6 turbos is driving me to look elsewhere.
Would not buy a NX350 because of the run flats. I want quality, smooth riding tires like a quality Michelin if it is supposed to be a luxury brand. Want a quiet and smooth ride and a spare tire in the back. Otherwise i am not even looking at one again. 👎
Hi Dustin I would be happy you know which model of Lexus and trim is quite , I did buy r350h and find it very loud with in a week of purchase ( above 110 kpmh ) . During test drive due to traffic in QEW I could drive fast. Now I regret the purchase
