Also, Happy Halloween! I never put it in the actual video though... XD

Nintendo should make an HD re-release of Luigi's Mansion on the Wii U and include some of the beta content like the Safari Room portrait ghost and 2-player coop. They could also have the Wii U gamepad show a first person pov of Luigi.
I think some people might like it, but it wouldn't be a good enough idea to make enough sales

I'm sure I'm not the one who is really curious how the game would've been without the 'kid friendly' changes. I remember actually getting scared at Bogmire and the Blackout parts when I was little, and this version seems far creepier.
It's one of the reasons why I think Dark Moon is less fun then the original. It has more humour and better gameplay, but far less atmosphere and *all* the ghosts are just cute floating blobs.
Oh and about the review; I was sceptical at first because of the video quality and the way you spoke, but it was actually quite a pleasant video to watch. Thanks for uploading! :)

Covering the things you missed: On the title screen, the beta mansion is displayed, as well as a portrait in the final mansion. Also, you missed the unused GHOST SPAWNING sound found in the beta trailer that still remains in the game's files. The beta trailer also has some variations of this sound such as laughter. Another stage of the purple puncher was huge with a reddish color, glowing white eyes, and white, jagged teeth, but the same sound effects. The card ghosts were a mini boss in the top hat ghost room. The ghost inside the portrificationizer were 3D sheet ghosts. And just a theory, the violent roaring might be the water boss. Lastly, in some beta gameplay in the video that shows the beta disc, the ghost were flying at different altitudes.
The Totaka's song is not "UNUSED",it's HIDDEN.
This is probably the most in-depth Luigi's Mansion beta analysis I've ever seen. Good job!

The "depressed" Luigi cutscene appears when you failed to save Mario before the end time of 8am. He's proooobably traumatized because of this...

It's amazing to see how so much of has come out from the beta of luigi's mansion from the modern tools we have now campared to a couple years ago as seeing this shows what people once thought what they were originally anyways loved this video when i was young good luck man and i will most certainly check out that glitches and exploit video your releasing on the 29th

Goodness, you really know a lot of stuff! Luigi's Mansion is one of my favorite games, and I search around TH-cam all the time for videos about glitches, easter eggs, betas, etc etc.. But so far I think you take the cake sir! You show information I've learned in other videos but also a ton I've never seen or heard before. It may be because I stay off the scarier side of TH-cam (I'm a bit of a scaredy cat. So if someone did beta,easter eggs, etc. but included creepy things, I probably avoided it. u wu~ ), but you really know your stuff! Your video was fantastic. c: Keep up the good work!

The game was supposed to be t for teen and the timer meant if it ran out Luigi would turn to a zombie. The mansion would be darker, the ghosts would be scarier and some characters would be bleeding like toad

I have been so fascinated by the beta that last year I started production on my own version of a Luigi's Mansion game, with the return of the original bet ghosts as well as some of the other things from the beta.

i actually am the owner of one of these beta disks myself too as well. my dad worked with miyamoto, so he gave a couple to him and the family. my cousin had one but he pawned it off to cover the rest of his student loans and to put a down payment on his home (townhouse). not sure where it ended up. probably a goodwill shelf out in the boonies. either way, i do own one. or i did, at least until it was lost to time. not sure where it is man.

the "power tool" noise is actually in the boolosuss boss fight after boolosuss lands on the ground after luigi is scared, you can hear it in the back ground
I do indeed have a beta disc. Some of these are accurate. Some of the sounds you have shown, like the lantern one, is incomplete. What the kid is saying "Mother, why did you take the lanterns off and place them on the ground?" If I were to guess,MIT would be a kind of thing where Mario or Luigi was found dead or something, due to the fact there are two unused gravestones, with letters M, and L. There are 5 different unused lanterns on the ground in the backyard where the dog is.
Where can you find the beta disc? I've looked for it and haven't found it. Must be extremely rare and hard to find.
It was an old copy from an old employee who worked on games. He helped make a lot of progress on many different consoles all the way back to the Gameboy. I also have beta cartridges of Pokemon Green, Megaman, Mario Titles.
You got lucky! I've been interested to learn more on the beta version. I would love to play it.

The only one so far that strikes my interest is Luigi's Mansion but I'm sure that everything was explained in this video. I haven't looked into any other games yet.
Probably the most intuitive video of the Luigi's Mansion Beta, thank you OGD for doing so much research on this. This guy has some stuff that the rest of the internet cannot give. Though the comedy was a bit bland and cringe-like, I really enjoyed this video (mostly the learning portion). Also, I've tried many Dolphin file editors, and they suck (don't work), what do you guys use to replace files, find unused items, etc.? Thanks (if you can tell me).

One 2 more notes, that unused boss seemed lie a different version of Bogmire, and the spinning blue ghosts around luigi was never explained, I think it was an alpha intro when E Gadd saves Luigi, or the game over pre-scene.
Well thank you! Yeah I will have to admit my acting skills aren't the best XD. To replace files, I used an action replay code to replace Toad with whatever object by simply changing a value. You think that ELH was supposed to be a type of Bogmire? Hmmmm.... Well all I know is that it is a water boss because of the animation names within the file itself, some japanese things. Also about the blue ghosts, I'm thinking MAYBE that it's one of the unused ghosts, more specifically the blue one. Wow, I'm gonna have to do more research OR get a beta disc (although that would likely be impossible, or very very hard to find)

The depressed Luigi thing actually happened when you died and it was said that Luigi would be possessed by a ghost.
If a person claims to have a beta disc, don't believe them. Most beta discs are lost in time...

Okay this guy is a bit inaccurate with some things but the sounds were dead on, the original idea of luigi's mansion was to rescue daisy, capture ghosts, and earn treasure to receive a good score but they changed it to Mario since he was more recognizable and developed a better plot than the princess cliche

3:52 I feel like this part was way ahead of its time to which it turned out to actually be true thanks to the SpaceWorld 2000 footage being found and more E3 footage being discovered. I feel like some of these actually turned out to be accurate while others, not so much.

I don't think Luigi's "depressed" if the timer runs out and you can't get to Mario. I think he becomes possessed or cursed. I heard that on a couple of different videos. I may be wrong but I thought I should just throw that out there.
