    Nice I was reefing on it but nothing I got it now but ya the spring released the parts across the room but nothing lost changed my floor plate good times

    Empty mag. Gently depress button on the bottom of the mag with screwdriver. Find open side of mag plate and push against the corner of an edge like a counter or table. Tap the mag itself firmly (but not nail hard) a couple times with rubber/plastic/wooden mallet so that the force is transferred to the lip of the mag plate. Much easier than trying to wedge open the plate with brute force with whatever you've used to depress the button. Opens them pretty easily. You won't even mark up the plastic this way.

    Is the magazine insert necessary? Seems like the floor plate stays on without it
