Lets put it like this Night Guy moved so fast he bent space and tine around his foot. Meaning he was moving so fast his foot started to create celestial mass
All Might in English has the same voice actor as Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z: Christopher Sabat. It’s absolutely perfect despite the two having nearly the exact opposite personalities.
surprised they didn't mention it but in the show All Might's reason for his move names is because he went to the USA for a few years at the start of his superhero career.
Fun Fact, the fight track, Mighty, was referenced in Deku vs Asta. Specifically the line "Doesn't matter time or place, if I hear you call my name, know that everything will be ok. With a smile on my face, I will face that darkest day. They rely on me when it all needs saved!"
Hands down one of my favorite Death Battles. One of the rare instances that the combatants fought for fun and out of sheer respect for one another rather than some weird drama/beef between them. Also, one of the best battle sound tracks in the series to date. Fun Fact, I believe the DeathBattle cast said in a podcast after the episode, that Might Guy most likely wouldn't have needed to open all 8 Gates to beat All Might in the end, but they went ahead and had him do it anyway because it was more entertaining.
Guy would have closed the gap with just the 3rd. They had him use the 8th because there's no guarantee Guy will ever come back so they want him to use his ultimate attack while they have him
Fun Fact: The English VA for All Might is also the English VA for Vegeta, Piccolo, Yamcha, Shenron, and a lot secondary Dragon Ball characters. He also is the English VA for One Piece's Zoro. His name is Chris Sabat and he actually voices a lot of anime characters for the English Dub.
Watching people react to this, I always look to see if people point out a certain thing: the fact that the arm wrestling table survived for as long as it did. In the Death Battle Cast (the DB channel's podcast) where they showed a sneak peek for the fight way back when, one of the people who hadn't seen the preview yet mentioned it, and I've watched for it in reactions ever since.
Guy actually has the prediction thing where he fights a certain way and forces moves into a sequence. It’s what a lot of martial artists do after a little while as they watch opponents fight. It’s a skill learned on the battlefield. It’s not something that is automatically given.
All Might catching the Hirudora (Daytime Tiger) just didn't make sense, because it was pure air pressure that looked like a tiger. Hirudora is made by forming a hand seal and then punching out the hands really fast and hard in that seal, creating like an air pressure pocket that capture air as it traveled. The accumulated air pressure pocket is being launched at the opponent, which will then explode later like an air pressure bomb, which has a blast radius bigger than an island and can flatten everything in the vicinity with pure air and wind pressure. One thing that the Death Battle team failed to mention is also that Night Guy has Might Guy moving extremely fast and and with so much force, that he is strong enough to BEND SPACE. At the moment when Guy used Night Guy, he has turned into something that has the force and mass of a planet. Technically and realistically speaking, All Might should have been OBLITERATED by Night Guy and nothing should remain. Night Guy is literally an attack of astronomical proportions. If you get kicked with enough force as if a planet itself is moving and smashing towards you, I doubt there's anything that can remain in the aftermath. Uchiha Madara has achieved the power of God and attained immortality, turning into a literal living God, and yet he still NEARLY DIED from Night Guy. If Madara is not protected by plot armour as the main villain at that moment and was just some ordinary goon, he would have no doubt died. This speaks volumes about the power contained in this technique, being able to kill a God. Might Guy is supposed to be an inspiration. He is the representation of human tenacity and effort. That an ordinary talentless human without any Ninjutsu and Genjutsu (Illusion technique) can train hard and persevere his whole life, until he is strong enough to even kick the ass of a literal living Legend and God that is Uchiha Madara. Might Guy is able to do this to THE Uchiha Madara that has become a God. That moment when Might Guy gets praised by Uchiha Madara as the strongest Taijutsu user to ever battle him is all the validation needed for Might Guy's pain and training endured. That flashback that Kakashi had when Might Guy said to Kakashi when they were kids "I'm Might Guy, and I'm going to be stronger than anyone else around here!" only to be praised by Madara later sends literal chills. If Might Guy had fought Madara or First Hokage Hashirama, the only man to ever defeat Madara historically, when they were still alive in their heyday a hundred years ago, he would have kicked their asses with pure Taijutsu, even if they got fancy techniques that they got thanks to their distant bloodline related to God.
fun fact in a Q and A death battle said that guy wouldn't have needed all 8 gates to beat All Might only 5 or 6 but they used all the gates for the battle because it looks better for the fight
This battle was a very legendary battle between two powerful men in Shonen history that make you speechless 🥲 I hope you two check out My Hero Academia as it’s a masterpiece of a anime that it’s like Marvel Comics/DC Comics but in anime format
Not just that, guy literally binding a space with just a kick, guy can go kick an air to go to the flying enemy.and he destroyed the black orb that literally can tank super powerful attack like 10 tails tails beast bomb, susanoo slas sword, and ect
Love this battle... But... It kinda irks me when All Might grabs the Hirudora. I think Death Battle didn't do enough research as to how that attack works and honestly, that attack more than likely would be the end of that fight but I get that they needed Guy to go into Eight Gates mode bc that's what makes the fight worthwhile... I think All Might should've been damn near disintegrated with that Night Guy kick as well but... It is what it is.
True by the eightgates bypass all previous injuries when activated. Combine that with the anime character will to fight through the pain. Guy would still be standing. Also if this was in character. Allmight wouldn't hit Guy with a move that would instantly kill him.
@@theinsurance2450 I know, but I doubt Guy would survive US of Smash. There would be no injuries to recover from, because he wouldn't be alive to recover. It is my only concern with the battle tbh
@@theinsurance2450 I actually doubt that, since we haven't seen Guy take a hit of that magnitude in the entirety of the Naruto series We've seen his offensive feats, not his defensive ones. I mean, there is nothing to heal from if you're dead, and I don't consider he would be able to take it and not die instantly While All Might survived AFO fatal blow, we haven't seen Guy do something similar. In fact, for the majority of the Naruto cast, they are pretty much "normal" humans when it comes to the amount of damage they can sustain (I'm not talking about the pain tolerance here, which is another matter) without dying. For example, Madara first died from a stab wound Don't get me wrong, I still think Guy would win All Might in a fight, but I don't think he would last that long to do it if such fight turned out excatly how it is represented in the video. Then again, I get that these DB need to show every level of power their respective combatants, so I guess that is why decided on this approach. Besides, it is a really cool battle nonetheless
@@franciscomartinlopez6916 each gate level massively increases all physical attributes of a person. Like how each Super Sayian form increase the users abilities each transformation. Under the gates this would include durability. Ninjas in Naruto Universe are weaken by piercing attacks (with few exceptions) this is why ninjas carry around blades, knives, shuriken etc. However they have a high durability against impact attacks than a normal person would. Strength is usually tie with durability. As your body needs to be tough enough to handle the weight or impact of hit delivered. According to Isaac Newton's Law of physics. "Every action has an equal reaction". Guy in his base form hit a guy through 3 feet of concrete wall with little to no effort. Sending him flying. He blocks Gaara sand attack with one hand like it was nothing. Gaara wasn't holding back and his sand is so powerful it took on Rock Lee 5th gate. That means Base Guy in Naruto part 1. Is equal to Rock Lee 5th gate. Maybe even stronger. The eight gate is so powerful it got Madara excited for a challenge. This is the same guy who fought all 5 kage and didn't take it seriously. And that was when Madara was at a weaker form. So trust me. Guy would survive US smash in seven gate.
This was a nice one, now i hope you do either Captain Marvel vs Shazam or Robo-Cop vs Terminator next. By the way, how about reacting to Top 50 Final Boss Themes by Klagmar at some point, would be interesting.
Yeah, when you've got an insane opponent like All Might, the question isn't really "Can Guy beat them?" the question is "Can 'Night Guy' beat them before it kills Guy."
Someday, I hope you guys react to My Hero Academia someday. Mha has amazing story telling, characters and arcs and definitely seems like something yall would like a lot.
This was much closer than I expected, last time I read MHA they were gassing up feats like blowing up mountains while Naruro is out here blowing up giant meteors and the moon.
All Might was the pinnacle of the show. His prime is always used as a benchmark for absurd power. He basically is Superman, in a world where most people peak at Batman's strength.
in the post talk for this they mentioned that Guy didn't actually need all 8 gates to win. Which makes sense. They do this stuff for the show, to actually show off their main abilities.
Guy should’ve definitely won that without going into the 8th gate. 7th gate maybe but definitely not 8th gate. Naruto characters are so much stronger than MHA characters
While All Might was def the stronger one his fighting skill is basically "just throw hard punches", Might Guy was faster and more proficient with his martial arts. And the 8 gates let him get better but only temporarily.
Something they didn't mention is that when Guy is in his 8th Gate Stage is that he can bend space. Not even All Might could do that, even when he was in his prime.
He sort of did that when he clashed fists with All for One. Though the difference being he needed another insanely strong person to help as where Might Guy did it by himself with his own strength.
With MHA"s manga ending with a lot of new feats, All Might would legit beat Might Guy. Deku is f***ing cracked in the manga. He now reached Boros ? S1 Saitama level of power.

Yup! The range on his voice is insane. Truly an amazing VA.
Let's not forget Zoro and the underrated Chad that is captain Yami Sukehiro. Sabat is awesome! 🙌
Doesn’t he also voice purple piccolo(vaccine man) from one punch man lol
We also can't forget Armstrong from fullmetal.

The most intense arm wrestling match in history

Behold, the most inspirational battle in history!
This is still my favorite season finale deathbattle has done, even with some really good ones in recent seasons
I will forever find it so funny that this epic battle to the death started, with an arm wrestling contest
As much as I love guy and grew up with guy all might us the goat he is such a inspirational character and I think a lot of people could learn from him
One of the greatest Death Battle episodes ever with an amazing soundtrack.
Didn’t really have a horse in either one, cuz both characters are likeable.
Pretty good animation though.
They went PLUS ULTRA with the animation in this one!

Please do Reverse Flash vs Goku Black soon (although I know you’re watching Super so maybe you just want to avoid any spoilers)
They're almost at the arc on the YT release so they're gonna do it soon.
I'm pretty sure the one dancing at 0:52 is Arryn Zech the voice actress for Blake

A death through Kamikazi is still a Stale Mate. I’d determine this is a draw if it took Guy going 8 Gates to beat All Might.
They mentioned in a later podcast that the Sixth and seventh gate were enough and they just added 8th for entertainment purposes
Sanji vs Lee next please
Such a great fight ;3;
Two of the mightiest characters o.o
No but FR if guy dies using the 8th gate isn’t the match a draw
