Yep, this is why i was getting this update was such disappointing adding 3 new lame cars including the Evo 8 we had from data mining leaks.

These cars add nothing to the game. Unnecessary filler cars. ACC charges for DLC. Updates are free. And they gave away the Mustang GT3 for free! We as customers, that pay for PS Plus to play GT7, have every right to criticize and complain. Maybe PD should charge for this? They'd get a wakeup call i think. Barely any American cars have been added. Fox body Mustang should have been added a long time ago! But, this is a Japanese developer,and it shows! There should be some German sedans. Absolutely should have new GR3 and GR1. Just one each could quiet those players. WEC and IMSA have a whole new hypercar class! Only one is in the game. A Toyota. Shocker.
I respect Polyphony ALOT for even giving us updates and actually spending time to the cars unlike forza reusing Xbox 360 models and The Crew buying the car models online😂😂😂

ALOT is not a word.
They aren't bad cars by any means. But there are many cars that are better to add, instead of three ''copy paste'' vehicles. They should put their focus elsewere though. we got 176 Japanese cars as is, followed by 98 German cars, and only going down from there. Instead of Japanese, they should add other cars from other country's. Italy also has many forgotten cars by public. Many great Fiats/Abarths still exist, same for Alfa Romeo. France also has some forgotten cars. Like the peugeot 407, 307, 206 CC/GTI, or even a proper RCZ with the 266 hp engine.
The Toyota Hiace is a funny addition to the franchise. PD is known for adding weird vehicles, thinking of the Midget for example. For this i am not upset, but i'd rather see the Midget return, rather than the Hiace

Alot of the people giving out about car diversity have never played the old GT games it seems, gt4 had like 12 different miata's and 17 different skylines, it is the way of GT, but the Hi ace - who the fuck wants that, it will be needed for some one make race and then never driven again
I get where you're coming from, but GT4 5 and 6 had way more cars than GT7 so it just makes it less understandable from my perspective at least.
I would like to see the mustang Dark Horse, the brand new subaru wrx performance and the corvette e-ray in GT 7

For all we know, we could be mistaken about what the actual cars are.
And what’s not to say that there will be a major content update in the form of new missions or another track? (Latter is unlikely, but the point remains.)

Pretty sure this new GTR is a hybrid also, for performance, it's still VERY much mostly ICE, but has electric boost essentially
August does seem a usual break period for GT7, it has happened this year but not before. I find it a bit odd...
I’m excited for this update, finally getting the Evolution 8! Now we just need the Evo 7 and watch everyone melt down again. (Which should be fun to witness 😈)
Literally no point having an evo 8 when we already got evo 9 yes they do have a different front facelift but still disappointing for polyphony to add 3 cars that we basically already have in the game.

They have around 40 cars in reserve, i really don't get why we get so little.
It's supposed to be a live service game. We should get updates that improve the game according to what the customers request.
Lowkey I kinda just want them to bring over the PS3 models as "standard cars" if it means we get a better car variety at a fraction of the cost and time
Graphics are not lacking. We got full game V.R. The game cost me $20. It’s worth a lot more.
I really hope they've been quietly working on GT8, I realize GT7 is never going to fill the gap in expectations most of us had who loved the old GT games and all of the content. And I don't mind having 20 different versions of the same car, but if you're doing that don't trickle them out and call it a new content update. All these variations should have been included at launch.
And like many others have said I'd gladly pay 20 bucks for a BIG content DLC, hell by now I would have gladly bought four of them.
They can only cater to so many people. I understand everyone wants to see their car in the game at some point. But a little variety never hurt. Even if it is boring. That just means don't mind favoring the unpopular and im all for it because that shit to me adds character agree to disagree. Just like GT6 the weird cars made the game and i think we lost alot of that throughout the years as everything goes mainstream lol

Why is everyone getting upset over Update 1.51 of Gran Turismo 7? Who even cares if they're duplicate cars?
we actually care,polyphony takes up a lot of time of adding cars because of how much detail they have to render,and waiting 2-3 months for cars we didnt ask or just have is somewhat sad.they can use their time on doing things the community will love and be grateful for
gran turismo 3-6 had ctrl-c ctrl-v in most road cars but no one bats an eye i guess
Bc we have only a handful of newer cars from this decade, barely any tracks, and duplicates of cars we already have
We already have enough cars in the game. What we don't have are enough events for said cars (especially pre-60s cars and rally events). And I'm not talking about the GT6-like races where you line up miles behind much slower cars, but events like the Clubman Club Plus races and other "Spice Pepper Difficulty" events
Not to mention that the 1.49 and 1.50 handling updates ruined AWD cars. Even when stock, they bottom out too easily due to the exaggerated body roll and very easily fall into snap oversteer upon braking
Adding more AWD cars means nothing if they're going to keep handling like garbage
The problem is not the cars coming to the game is the lack of content and bad game design.
There have not been 1 update or change made since realese to make this game better.

I think one of main reason why adding another Nissan R35 GT-R and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII as duplicate cars in GT7 is due to far less time consuming than adding new adding car models from scratch for future updates.
Yeah I mean it can't be much more than slightly changing the model and then adjusting a few values for something like a different R35.
They should add more trucks. There's literally only two. Previous games have had more than that.
I'd love something similar to a Craftsmen Truck Series racing truck, don't even need the rights necessarily just add some small import pickup and let us put a V8 in it.
I’m considering forza Motorsport now. I’m so bored of GT7 and these lame ass cars ain’t helping. The money grind is a joke also
I just switched since I have both consoles, and the games are the same to me except for the racing titles obviously. Forza is just way more fun now, and the car selection is levels better, which is crazy that a Gran Turismo game is being outclassed in the car selection department.

I only play GT7 for the race cars - sports cars - hyper cars and vans but I want The A-Team van . I don’t play normal cars and I’m not a Nissan fan as they look naff. I want Revuelto and the T50 and T50s and Koenigsegg

Warning: The "Plymouth GTX 426 Hemi '71 (1971)", actually this car is already in the Gran Turismo series, made its first appearance in Gran Turismo 2, with the name: "Plymouth Road Runner '71 (1971)". When they add this car to Gran Turismo 7 in a future update, they will name it: "Plymouth GTX 426 Hemi '71 (1971)". This would be one of the cars that could return to Gran Turismo 7 after a long absence from the series.
And also when they add the "Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z '90 (1990)" and the "Pontiac GTO '65 (1965)", they would replace these two cars that appeared in the previous games in the series:

Pontiac Tempest Le Mans GTO '64 (1964)
And I also want you to add and design 3 Vision Gran Turismo prototypes from the brands: Alfa Romeo, Ford and Tesla; but with names like this:

All this information has to be read, seen and known by Kazunori Yamauchi and Polyphony Digital, since they are the creators of the Gran Turismo series and they must take care of this matter. I already said it, I will not repeat it again. Keep this in mind forever and never ever forget it.
I am angry at you for not mentioning the Fiat Coupe and Fiat barchetta.
Jokes aside though, there are still a lot of ''forgotten'' cars that i'd rather see them add than those. They shouldn't add cars that can be played in multiple racing games. Rather than that i'd see them focus on 90's and 00's forgotten sports and super cars. So many games have a Mclaren P1. But how many games do you know with a Spyker C8, or a Gillette Vertigo. Or any TVR. Or even Noble for that matter.

2. there is no SUV,
3. there are two Sportscars,
4. the Update doesnt cost you a penny.
Of corse you can argue, instead of the Van, they could have added the Bentley Speed 8 or Lister Storm V12, but hey... read point 1-4 again and rethink ;)

This is definitely top 5 worst update. It's PD's decision to be like it is. Disconnected from its players. And to point out the fact probably the vast majority of players wouldn't pay for this update.
6:47 you'd have a point of difficulty getting "new" cars into the game, yet this update is dropping a 2024 GTR.
No problems getting licensing and uploading the content when it suits them.
I'd rather pay for a quality content pack, than getting crappy stuff for free.

If the algorithm is doing it to them, it's doing something similar to my car.
I've personally owned some of the cars in the game and at no stage did my actual car start spinning wildly when I touch the brakes or tip into a corner.

If I've had the game since launch and yet can count the number of times I've enjoyed playing it on one hand, that's kind of a bad sign.
What u ppl have mean no reason to come back to the game besides new cars and unfinished missions. If u like driving, don't u ? Then u come back to the game to drive, like when u like or love basketball, don't u go-to the Court and hoop, what keeps u coming back, even tho ur playing the same ppl ajd already dropped 30 points ajd however many dimes , on them. Your love for the sport. U enjoy hooping, well for pp who truly love driving it's the same, sure beat all the missions already, new cars always fun, but u have different online races which are always diff and user created lobbies.drift drag cruise, cops and robber,, placing,, car shows etc. if ur only reason to play is to do new events a and drive new cars u truly don't love driving, ur just a gamer who likes finishing new games
I was actually hoping for a new Group 1 hyper cars, but Polyphony came in with lame ideas. Or give Super Formulas its own Group series (ex. Group SF) and not just a PP.
Tbh, we need more vans and Evo variants tbh. Hopefully we get more amazing updates in the future

It was not a brand new circuit. Just a re-hash of a previous circuit from an older game. The GT franchise is the laziest of all franchises. The tracks and the cars can be traced back to the original GT. Just update the graphics to make it look good.

We again are looking at the same bipolar community that cry’s that GT lost it’s charm because no duplicate vehicles and now we have duplicates and it’s the end of the world.
Same goes for the “all the cars are old” clowns, here we have a new GTR and people actually gonna complain.

I can agree with you on that it's nuts because they literally have to listen to everyone and pick a select set of cars to deliver yet no matter what the expectations are set way too high and people will complain no matter what if it doesn't achieve their unrealistic expectations lol

@@WindyCity1992 forza is rly…well… forza. Horizon is good as a free roam but is quickly boring. GT is just rly realistic. Offcourse u have even more realistic ones but, GT is just super decent. :)

Vans are boring in games, and we already have other versions of those cars, since the game is severely lacking compared to previous games we need different cars...
