Hi Manhoor, I wanted to pick your brain around the OST, of Tere Bin which might be lost in translation for me, but my god it is quite harsh, threatening, about showing someone betrayal by doing the betraying!, punishing them and in a second forgetting them too and I’m trying to get my head around who it’s directed to as we have two versions male and female one. I’m not sure if it’s Meerub doing this to all who hurt her,when they kept her identity a secret and then colluding to get her married to someone she didn’t like, or whether it will be Murtasim who after being so loyal and protective of Meerub, reaches rock bottom by her neglect of his feelings that he breaks to bring her down a peg to two,and leaving her stranded in perpetual loneliness! I wish these reviews would also touch the lyrics of the OST, which are always so well written and wonderfully sung, for most of the dramas we watch!
He brings such a freshness to the romance between the leads. That is his forte, havent seen it with any other director. Loving Tere Bin! And Yumna and Siraj bhai are a lethal team, one of my absolute favorite dramas, Yeh Raha Dil, was also their collaborative effort. I hope they work together again in the future.

Wahaj ali is the one who have most expressive eyes that I have watched so far.If it was mustasim of tere bin, if it was romi of Jo bichar gaye, if it was Saad of mujay pyaar howa tha, if it was basim of ishq jalebi, if it was hamza of fitoor, if it was jami of dil na umeed tu nhi, sharik of Ehd e wafa, riz of ghassi mitti mohabbat, marif of bharam, taqi of mah e tamam,ahad of Bikhray moti, maan of haiwan, Ali of hari hari chudiyan. These all have something in their eyes to deliver, to express because these all have wahaj eyes to express. And ofcourse he is the one that girls want as their husband & boyfriend. His eyes deliver more dialogues than his tongue trust me he is the one which talk about siraj sahab.

It feels like the director is pro murtasim too! I wanted both the leads to have flaws which they'll overcome with each other's help. Sadly, it seems like ML is flawless and FL is full of flaws and stubborn behaviour. I want Meerub to have a win through her own action and good judgement (from this interview, it doesn't seem like it'll happen). Anyway, I'm happy for both Yumna and Wahaj for their success with this show. Yumna said it herself that she did it for the masses.

There is no winning or losing between Meerab and Murtasim because the competition isn’t that of equals. He is a mature, responsible, experienced and seasoned landlord whereas she is a sheltered and pampered young girl who is a good person but has very unrealistic ideals because of her lack of experience in the real world. So no, the script is not favouring Murtasim. It is showing him trying to nurture and build a strong relationship with a young rebellious girl whom he genuinely loves and cares for.

Obviously this is not a original concept .We are seeing such shows since ages in so many languages.But what makes this one special and stand out from the rest is Yumna zaidi and Wahaj Ali’s acting and chemistry.Their chemistry is breathtaking. Romance is such a genre that will never die and people from all generation and all places will love to see it till the end of the time as long as the acting and the chemistry is captivating. Kudos to the respected Director for capturing the idea of what the audience wants and catering us with this mind blowing chemistry every week .

You can really see and feel how much blood, sweat, and tears they put into this project and even in every interview so far they are all very respectful of one another and none of them are trying to take more credit than another. The professionalism and comradery between the cast and crew ko daad deni parehgi. Hats off to you all. I agree with most of the comments the interviewer was asking too many obvious and unnecessary questions that were too surface level. At some point you have to draw a line when watching TV shows and put common sense aside or else Siraj sir is right, drama ko aage bhi le kar jaana hai.

I completely agree. She’s not a villain and villain MIL don’t make sense to me either like apna beta ki khushi barbad kar ka Kya faida. Ma Begum was wrong in asking her to leave but everything other then that she said was absolutely right and in the previous episodes when she was learning the bookkeeping and stuff she seemed genuinely satisfied and even happy.

The main character must be a "grey character"(which makes him real or human like), he doesn't have to be so pure like white characters nor he can't be black or evil character. According to Aristotle, the main character has to meet the hamartia which is the journey of the character. Similarly, Murtasim slapping Meerub is basically showing that the hero can have flaws in his personality yet he can overshadow those negative features by doing other good deeds. I agree that "slap" is not mandatory to show him as a grey character but this was something which made Murstasim realized that he really did wrong to Meerub and then he changed his attitude towards Meerub.
I get why Murtasim would not constantly give explanations to Meerub. During the Naila fiasco, he was pretty upset with her over the events of the past day. Meerub is an idealist, someone who is grown up in the city n is disconnected from the wedara world. Murtasim, while contemporary and somewhat modern, is also acquainted with the system of his people and has to balance the two. He has plenty of things to do n he can't constantly keep explaining himself. Furthermore, meerub is shown be rather stubborn. The script is sort of inclined towards Murtasim, as he does most things correct, given his context.
@metilda. OK. Murtasim belongs to a rich powerful family, but from the first scene itself, you understand that he stands up for the rights of the weak. He isn't the stereotypical toxic wedara. He is contemporary in his beliefs but also has to balance them with the system he belongs to. He empathasizes with Meerub, because he understands that she married him because of a childhood engagement.
Meerub on the other hand has grown up in the city. She too always stands up for the weak, but a series of traumatic events put her in a position where she has to unwillingly marry Murtasim. The conditions she puts on the marriage are a tactic to buy sometime, to mentally accept Murtasim, which he probably understands too. She has started to fall for him at this point though, but doesn't want to accept it just yet.

Credit goes to the entire Team of Tere Bin. You can really see and feel how much blood, sweat, and tears they put into this project and even in every interview so far they are all very respectful of one another and none of them are trying to take more credit than another. The professionalism and comradery between the cast and crew ko daad deni parehgi. Hats off to you all. I agree with most of the comments the interviewer was asking too many obvious and unnecessary questions that were too surface level. At some point you have to draw a line when watching TV shows and put common sense aside or else Siraj sir is right, drama ko aage bhi le kar jaana hai.

Maa Begum is not a negative character. She loves her son and his happiness. She treated Meerab fairly, but Meerab was stubborn.
I completely agree. She’s not a villain and villain MIL don’t make sense to me either like apna beta ki khushi barbad kar ka Kya faida. Ma Begum was wrong in asking her to leave but everything other then that she said was absolutely right and in the previous episodes when she was learning the bookkeeping and stuff she seemed genuinely satisfied and even happy.
@Amun Babar yes exactly my point. Haya is doing Maa begums brain wash. She was thinking right that Murtasim is missing meerab n feeling sad and that she did not do the right thing with Meerab, but then Haya interrupted her thoughts and said no you did the right thing Meerab etc...

The main character must be a "grey character"(which makes him real or human like), he doesn't have to be so pure like white characters nor he can't be black or evil character. According to Aristotle, the main character has to meet the hamartia which is the journey of the character. Similarly, Murtasim slapping Meerub is basically showing that the hero can have flaws in his personality yet he can overshadow those negative features by doing other good deeds. I agree that "slap" is not mandatory to show him as a grey character but this was something which made Murstasim realized that he really did wrong to Meerub and then he changed his attitude towards Meerub.

I get why Murtasim would not constantly give explanations to Meerub. During the Naila fiasco, he was pretty upset with her over the events of the past day.
Meerub is an idealist, someone who is grown up in the city n is disconnected from the wedara world. Murtasim, while contemporary and somewhat modern, is also acquainted with the system of his people and has to balance the two. He has plenty of things to do n he can't constantly keep explaining himself. Furthermore, meerub is shown be rather stubborn.
The script is sort of inclined towards Murtasim, as he does most things correct, given his context.

@metilda. OK. Murtasim belongs to a rich powerful family, but from the first scene itself, you understand that he stands up for the rights of the weak. He isn't the stereotypical toxic wedara. He is contemporary in his beliefs but also has to balance them with the system he belongs to. He empathasizes with Meerub, because he understands that she married him because of a childhood engagement.
Meerub on the other hand has grown up in the city. She too always stands up for the weak, but a series of traumatic events put her in a position where she has to unwillingly marry Murtasim. The conditions she puts on the marriage are a tactic to buy sometime, to mentally accept Murtasim, which he probably understands too. She has started to fall for him at this point though, but doesn't want to accept it just yet.
