That scene where Aaliya gives the pen to Asfar and he cleans it by rubbing it on his shirt, O god I fell in love with that, that was so endearing, a very subtle scene where I genuinely started liking Asfar but man Salman has my heart

    • @dianedesjardins1159
      @dianedesjardins1159 ปีที่แล้ว +5

That was wicked cute! But my vote is for Asfar and Aaliya. Aaliya will soften Asfar rough edges, that he won't be able to live without her. I think he will offer to bail out her father and that might make her clinch the decision. She is attracted to both Asfar and Salman. 💕

@@dianedesjardins1159 she is not attracted to asfar at all. It's pretty obvious she likes salman. She didn't hesitate a minute before pointing out his socks when he indirectly said he needs her attention whereas she gave asfar a cold shoulder the next day when she though he is also asking for her attention.
If her decision to choose asfar comes with the fact that she can save her house that means she is is choosing asfar's money and not him.

Hosts being very generous about the potential Haroon kadwai has, treading very cautiously while reviewing his performance when they r quick to point out the slightest flaws in non nepo actors. Just the other day Amna commented Neelam Muneers acting is ott and had lots to say about her pizza pronounciation. But here the only weakness in HK is the facial hair🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣 Nothing against this young actor but had he not been the son of this huge producer, his persona and performance would have been rated as strictly average. Haris Waheed easily fares better in all departments.

Kuchh Ankahi: I'm quite impressed with the production standard as seen in the cast's wardrobe, especially phuppo and azfar, and also some frame aesthetics. Alia wears what any Karachi girl would be wearing. I also appreciated the added dimension to Azfar, in that he cares about people: no one is unidimensionally good or bad. His father does favour Sehrish more, likely because their mother's death affected each child differently, and being a boy, he may not have channeled his loss in an appropriate manner due to age, etc.

KA: Both of the male characters in love triangle are good and no matter whoever Aaliya ends up with , we are going to feel bad for the other actor. Salman is a better option because he understands her struggles and is cordial with her family. Being the breadwinner for her family, Aaliya needs someone who understands her family dyamics. And as a viewer we too need love stories that are not clichéd and seem real.
As you guys said casting is on point. Sehrish,Azfar and their father actually look like from the elite class. That girl Sehrish is doing really well.
Even for the smallest roles, KA team has got good actors like Arjumand Raheem, Ali Tahir. The other good thing is that KA is showing women choosing different profession as per their circumstances and skills like Saamiya designing jewellery, Meena's tiktoker daughter being model, Taniya being film maker, Aaliya being real estate agent. KA is definitely going stronger.

KA: uffff...the more I watch this drama the more I fall for it. Nothing is OTT about KA, everything is so peaceful, the humor is subtle not forced and actually makes you laugh, the romance is subtle. Sajal's chemistry with both bilal and shehryar is amazing so much so that it has divided people into team azfar and team salman😅 this whole salman-aliya-azfar dynamic is really interesting. This is called a love triangle where neither of the two guys is toxic or unlikeable. Both of them are good looking non-toxic and likeable heroes. Although I'm huge bilal abbas fan but I'm totally impressed with shehryar...he's nailing it as Azfar...he never looked this hot in any of his previous dramas. I'm really enjoying Azfar's interactions with aliya, in last episode there's moment when azfar asks for pen and aliya gives it, he first wipes it on his shirt and then uses it...that was really cute😅 but this doesn't mean I don't like salman, bilal as salman is adorable...it's just that like everyone I'm also torn between these two boys😄 it would be a tough call for aliya to choose between the two, but then it's clear that she has a soft corner for salman and azfar is nothing more than her boss.
The speciality of KA is that, we're hooked not to just the lead couple but we're invested in other tracks too. Shakeel and thanvi are super cute, I actually love almost every character of KA...sofia phuppo, shakeel, thanvi, Tania, ali and almas (just love the bond between salman and his mother), sehrish.
    KA has my heart ❤

I think MGM is trying to elucidate on the consequences teenage love might have because two people are willing to sacrifice everything just to be together while they are soo young. Also, the families do not know how to deal with a situation like this where things need to be handled in a sensitive way. These teenagers need to be told that they are too young to be thinking about marriage and they should wait until both people are independent and financially stable. If this is where the drama will go (as tragedy is on the way), I love the concept and parents should learn from this. As Aamna said, I am too enjoying this drama and the cute couple's chemistry🤩🤩 So many scenes are very natural (the bracelet in the car scene, oiling scene, going to meet Saim after his release and the sister looking out for Zubia--it's just so endearing❤❤

So also this is the norm in the television/movie field as well. What I'm trying to say is that nepotism will always exist in every field in this part of the world.
So I understand that despite being very bhondu looking Kadwani has gotten this role. There are bhondu looking actors in our industries who act well. But Kadwani is what is called a HAM ACTOR meaning he overacts and relies on stock mannerisms and gestures. He has to do a jail scene he watches a video of Feroze Khan from Khaani and does a bad imitation of that.

while writing this i already know it'll be judged for coming from a fan's side, and would entirely be perceived as an opinion based on favouritism, but I'll be honest as an individual, glad to hear the review the way details were discussed on here is totally appreciated and as it's been said "you cannot expect a fully polished performance from a debutant, you cannot judge a beginner on the rate of all these very polished and seasoned performers out there, yes, haroon kadwani's got an advantage of being the son of a renowned producer of the country and nobody's denying that, but people have a common opinion that he's got no struggles, he got it all so easily but that isn't the case DIFFERENT PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT STRUGGLES IN THEIR LIVES AND FOR HIM, DEALING WITH THE NEPO BRIGADE OUT THERE, CARRYING THE RESPONSIBILITY OF HIS FATHER'S GOOD NAME, MAKING A IDENTITY OF HIS OWN, IS A STRUGGLE ON HIS END. and hopefully he'll make it through it all, and Insh'Allah the world will remember him for being "Haroon Kadwani " more than any other identity. it's just the beginning after all alot more is yet to come.🙏🏻❤️

Am I the only one who feels like KA lacks something? The writing is very intelligent and crisp and the performances are great, but it doesn't leave a strong impact. Like the pacing is very slow, the dialogues are not particularly impressive and I don't feel emotionally invested in any of the characters. I know it is a slice of life story with a subtle narrative, but it just isn't giving. 10/10 for the comedy tho.

So of a character don't appear for one episode we feel disconnected in when he/she reappears since we only get one episode of 35-40mins every week. The only reason asfar is shining in the last two episodes is because salman only has 1 min screentime with no scenes with Aaliya. It's like out of sight out of mind thing.

Character is interesting. But I disagree with your views on haroon kadwani.why is he the main lead if you feel he can't carry the responsibility?
We should be able to criticise him if he you don't want to put that much responsibility on his shoulders then he should have started out with smaller parts and honed his acting craft. But as he has taken the lead he is responsible and I felt he was not suited to the role and he needs all the facial hair other wise he looks like a 10 year old. He's not a good actor he's only there becos of his father and despite all the money spent his acting is cringe and some of the over the top scenes were cringe. Yes, this is Haroons 'first' project, but u can't go easy on him just because of that. Plus, how can one deny that this entire project, the script the grandeur has been mounted and tailored for him, at such an early stage in his career, hes got a huge advantage, that any normal artist would only dream of. Having said that, he wasn't horrible, but there's huge scope for improvement.
Just because the makers or ppl involved might be watching yr review, u shouldn't go easy as it's unfair. Case in point, u guys mocking Mahiras Punjabi in MJ in the intro, which is literally the opposite of what u said in the actual review of the film.

He was the one who had to express more but sajal simply stood there, delivered the dialogue and stole the scene. Bilal's expression, dialogue delivery and body language reacts to sajal's really well. Also there scenes are better written and have that old classic novel feel to it. Whereas asfar and Aaliya are like the typical YA novel without much substance.

That guy is seriously good but what he doesn’t really have is a great connection within the industry or he simply doesn’t look like Feroze Khan lite with only 3GB Ram. Plus Zara is one of those actresses who look like that she is trying too hard. She doesn’t come across natural and it completely looks like that she is putting a performance. For some reason, Amna was more honest than Hassan. Haroon Kadwani simply needs to polish his skills before ever agreeing to take such a big role. Its nepotism at its best to hand over such a big role to someone who needs a long way to be able to perform it properly. I simply see no charm in this role at all! He was even worse in Ruposh. Your observation was probably right that people didn't show up on Khan sahb's call but that's a partial fact which is only true for Karachi. Huge number of citizens came out to show their demande for Haqeeqi Azadi in KPK and Pubjab with playcards so revolution is happening but only in these two provinces. KPK is always on the forefront of these courageous revolutions. Read the history and it is full of many examples but sadly their blood is always shed when our military establishment has to prove their power. Blood of KPK children, men, & women has no value. I am glad that finally Punjab is out of their biryani and naan influence and fighting for their basic rights to live. I hope Karachi or Sindh as a whole will be out of their sleep to realize that "Bhutto ab zinda nai hai" and the Bhuto in desguise is the world highest paid intern.

Well we live in Australia. My kids are 4 and 5. They speak Urdu so well that when we visited Pakistan, all the relatives said that no one can tell your kids live in Australia. But in saying that, we’re very strict at home to speak only Urdu and kids are young so they’re not independent yet.

Why is Haroon given such a huge responsibility to lead a show if he is not ready yet.could some other actor not have pulled off this character a lot better.the bright side of being a nepo kid is you can get second chances, should he not have done mini series or side characters to gain experience until he was ready to be hyped like some kind of acting prodigy.the whole pompous has made him look even worse as an actor actually ,khoda pahar…..

Kuch ankahi is a breath of fresh air we didn’t realize we needed. A strong female protagonist with a choice between two male leads is a unique POV. I am invested in all the characters as they’re not flat except the younger sister’s missing friend. I’m so glad I can savour the moments and expect low drama and more storytelling . Kudos to everyone who collaborated to bring this to our screens.

can't agree more, Jhoom's camera is larger than life and yes the cinematography did have a film feel. it is quite obvious that the budget is great which adds up to the creative element and increases the viewer's experience! #JHOOM

Jhoom: I'm not watching it as of now but saw clip where HK's character was screaming and shouting on people in the hospital...and I thought that was a really bad performance. Can't speak about the whole episode but his performance in that part was bad.

Sheriyaar munwaar is Best one in 'Kuch Ankahi'.
He is not only dashing in his looks but a very good performer as well. His role has an arc, I really liked his ruthless Businessman Avtaar.
What a transformation in him since the 'ZGH' days in which he was so raw.
Rare combo of looks & Acting😊👍

This is called a love triangle Sjjal, Sherry and Bilal just one girl but you are confused who u want her to be with in most dramas where thr is a triangle u just root for one couple and mostly u don't root for other guy but here its like ping pong your emotions are all over, when frame of Aliya and Asfar is onscreen u want them together in other frame u want Salman and Aliya ,and hats off to Sajjal she works well with everyone just by eye contact u can feel the sizzle .

For someone who emphasizes on being unbiased all the time, Hassan was insanely biased towards Haroon Kadwani aka bacha. He is a 2/10 actor who wouldn't have gotten a single line in any mainstream project if it wasn't for his father. These two episodes were not tthuss because of the scale of the serial. You pump in that kinda money, take an A grade writer on board and an exceptionally good director, you will get reasonably good two episodes. Haris Waheed, on the other hand, deserves tons of appreciation but he'll always be a supporting actor because his father is not a producer and he is not dating an eye candy from the industry.
I expect much better from you two. Be confident and honest in your critique.

Their Jhoom review left a really bad taste in my mouth. Hassan always nit picks on details while reviewing a drama or actor's performance but conveniently overlooked awful acting of HK. Any sane person could tell HK 's performance was cringe worthy ...

@@Taz9605 He couldn't deliver one single line without losing his voice by the end of it. Vocals play an integral part in acting. Something Haute takes pride in their audience being parrhi likhi/intelligent but the flip side of having such audience is that they can see through the critics when they are not being honest. I hope they reflect on it.

Kuch ankahi is awesome. Love to watch muhabat gumshuda meri even if it has some choppiness. Adorable couple . I like jhoom as well zara looks gorgeous and Haroon is handsome and knows acting. What's wrong with hassan's sound in full episode?? Buhat kherab ho rahi thi though amina's voice sound was absolutely fine
