Sad part is 2k14 still looks better in some ways. Like they are actually wearing basketball jerseys instead on painted on, cloth physics were way better in older games

The models and graphics in general are way better in 2k24, however, the lighting in 2k14 was immaculate, while the current game has basically none.
2k14 Kobe is spot on idk if it was because he was still living but he is dead ass spot on ears everything the look in his eye everything from the balding in his hair I guess sometimes we have to go back and take old elements and add it back into the new games because even the physics on the uniforms were pretty good

Its so simple really, i have no idea why 2k just wont put 14s lighting on the newer games. Imo 14 had the best lighting, 24 has some really good graphics too, but for a new gen game we are still lacking. 24s graphics are good, just fix colors and add 14s lighting and reflections lol, it shouldn't be that hard for 2k 🤦🏿♂️. 24s graphics are good, but fix the colors add 14s lighting and you will see a new and approved game graphically by far

If you added the lighting from 2k14 to 24 it would be the best looking 2k ever

2k14 is better end of story, especially if you think about the fact that these games are a decade apart and there are still things that 2k14 did better than 2k24. For anybody saying the jerseys just look different nowadays that has nothing to do with the retro jersey's being off. 2k has been doing retro teams since 2k11 and those jerseys looked different from the regular jerseys. The normal high-res face and body scans of 2k14 look better than today's. 2k has different resolution scans in the game. They don't change the scan every year but textures and design change every couple of years. It's not just the lighting, it's the design. Maybe there are limits to the new engine. Games on different engines have a different look to them. The last two 2k's have been playable at best and every 2k from 2k18 to 2k22 have been trash. I'm not an online player so I don't expect anyone to agree.
I only buy 2k when it goes on sale for $9.99 around playoff time and I even regret that sometimes.

The way the jerseys fit in NBA 2K14 is how the retro team jerseys should be in 2K24. Playing with someone like AI in the painted on jerseys that new gen has is wierd lol

2k14 is more realistic than 2k24 and the animations were the best! 2k24 looks too cartoonish. the only advantage for 2k24 is the clarity because of the hardware, other than that it's a step backwards compared to 2k14.

ot gonna lie but 2k14 is better has better attention to detail the lighting is better the physics look better and even the gameplay looks feels more realistic when you play this shouldn’t even be a conversation this was was made 10 years ago but 2k can’t even compare to its other older games they just copy and paste every year they don’t care about the game
NBA 2k14 is better than NBA 2k24, 2k16 is better than NBA 2k24
