Horizon Forbidden West and Cyberpunk are good contenders. Idk if Red Dead 2 is more beautiful then GOT, CP2077 or HFW but; I if you think so then I definitely respect the opinion because it's still gorgeous.

I would say Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora looks quite good as well.

Warframe on Duviri world, Destiny 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Naraka Bladepoint (even got the same style of beauty), etc. But yeah, this game is astonishing.

I am loving the game but I gotta be honest, I don't find it to be the most beautiful game in its genre. I actually think both Horizon New Dawn and Forbidden West have it beat. Id even say in many ways, the AC games have it beat. What the game Excels at though is a beautiful art design, with the high saturation really giving stark contrast between different foliage types. I just feel overall the game looks a little more clay ish... I don't know how to explain it.

Horizon Forbidden West. Alan Wake 2 also has far superior graphics... The core graphic quality objectively isn't anything special on PC (4090 4K Max), atmosphere is up to personal feelings, to each his own.

Destiny 2

they focus on aesthetics and atmosphere rather than sheer technological showcase. characters are detailed, everything else is simplified. i think the best way to understand what matters more is to look at rise of the ronin and be honest - does it look better? everything is detailed, current technology is being used etc... and yet it looks worse. ghost of tsushima will age better than most games mentioned in the comments. the style of the game allows for less detailed and less realistic assetts because it is not going for photo realism, it tries to look like a painting with broad strokes and whatnot. same aesthetic would not work for something like RDR2.

Ehhhh buddy, as someone that works in 3D, i'm just gonna sit here & wait for you to start working in 3D & realizing this game is full of very low detail assets & its only real good thing is the lighting & world design working alongside that as they use that to make it look much better than it is 😅, almost EVERY model used in this game is super low poly count & the textures are even worse. There are maaaany games out there that are much bettter looking. But gotta band it to tsushima devs, they are artists when it comes to world design, truly made the game world shine with the absolute lowest quality assets 👌😂

ot gonna lie but 2k14 is better has better attention to detail the lighting is better the physics look better and even the gameplay looks feels more realistic when you play this shouldn’t even be a conversation this was was made 10 years ago but 2k can’t even compare to its other older games they just copy and paste every year they don’t care about the game

2k14 is better end of story, especially if you think about the fact that these games are a decade apart and there are still things that 2k14 did better than 2k24. For anybody saying the jerseys just look different nowadays that has nothing to do with the retro jersey's being off. 2k has been doing retro teams since 2k11 and those jerseys looked different from the regular jerseys. The normal high-res face and body scans of 2k14 look better than today's. 2k has different resolution scans in the game. They don't change the scan every year but textures and design change every couple of years. It's not just the lighting, it's the design. Maybe there are limits to the new engine. Games on different engines have a different look to them. The last two 2k's have been playable at best and every 2k from 2k18 to 2k22 have been trash. I'm not an online player so I don't expect anyone to agree. I only buy 2k when it goes on sale for $9.99 around playoff time and I even regret that sometimes.

2k14 is more realistic than 2k24 and the animations were the best! 2k24 looks too cartoonish. the only advantage for 2k24 is the clarity because of the hardware, other than that it's a step backwards compared to 2k14.
