@@Catholic1391 Yes just labor. I want to do it myself but I have some rot in the floor and I don't want to not be able to fix it in a weekend. The door I have now didn't get flashed properly or at all and is exposed to the weather, no overhang
Hi may I know please which brand did you use for your door? Because I love your door, it's beautiful. I am thinking to change my patio door 60/80). I wish you can install it for me please? I like your work. awesome job .please help me I want the same door. Just tell me the brand .
nice tutorial, question. is the window glass strong enogh to carry out like you did on the back of the truck laying down.? how far was your trip home. ? i dont want to risk it .thanks in advance
How was the actual sliding glass installed so easily into the frame? It seems it would fall out because it is so easily installed. How does the sliding glass stay inside the frame?
It's installed under a patio cover so it's not critical. However, water will migrate through if he gets carried away with washing off the exterior walls or patio floor. Caulk does have a secondary function and that is that it functions as an air barrier. I would have added caulk and adhesive flashing, but for a guy that doesn't do it for a living he did a pretty good job. I also appreciate that he's humble in his responses to criticism.
Great work! I learned more from this video than HGTV.

Pretty good! I’ll be doing mine soon. Removing a window and installing a 6ft sliding door. Stucco on outside.
thanks for the visit
Suggestion needed: What if original door length is 94; and new door has a length of 96.
How would you make opening an inch larger on both sides ?
you need to extend the header
A lotta good technique. I am gonna try it.
Have fun!
Sweet job

Its a new construction door

Not a good idea to use mesh tape over such a long distance as there's a greater chance of cracking
thanks
😂 cutting the tape with the knife ...wow what a trick!!
thanks for the visit
No caulking and no flashing. Hello leaking door!

As for me, I'm glad he wasn't flashing.
