- Could this be the best 400cc sports bike on the market so far? Man it looks good in green.

I’ve got a 40th Anniversary one on order in retro colours. ❤
Not jealous at all 😁. Enjoy it when it arrives. 🤙
Me too. ❤
same!
Love this bike and love this video
Glad you enjoyed the video Sarah. 😁🤙
Awesome review!
Thanks Rob. Glad you enjoyed it. 🤙
This review made me laugh. I love tiny multi cylinder bikes, they were popular back in the day (before your dad was born), it's great that the Japanese are (sort of) keeping the tradition alive. If i had a spare 8.7k I'd get one of these today. I'm with you on the track day bike thought, you could probably have amazing fun on one of these on the right track. Excellent review (& riding). 👍
Glad you enjoyed the video all round mate. Was a good bike to ride. Sometimes you forget how much fun you can have on a smaller cc bike. Not always about big numbers. 🤙
Thanks DSR for this review. Cold temps, new tires, slick roads…you are a bold man! Does the induction roar sound as good when riding as it does on your audio?
Haha thanks Paul. Someone’s got to get out there and make these videos for you 😆. In all fairness it wasn’t too bad.
And yeah it does sound just as good on the bike as on the videos. 😁🤙
Great review Matt. If you are ever in the Bournemouth area pop into Moordown Kawasaki. They have a great cafe as well. I guess the price point of the bike reflects the quality of the build but it’s pushing it for a 400cc. A gorgeous looking bike though.
Thanks for the tip David. I’ll add it to my list of places to visit.
Too expensive to get the young riders interested IMO sadly. So it’s down to us old timers to start buying it up 😁. Good looking indeed mate. 🤙
Love this bike mate❤
Hopefully this bike doesn’t go underrated by other bikers out there. They’ll be missing out if they don’t try this little 400 😁🤙
Sounds epic ....I want 1!
Me too :)
Great vid sir. Subscribed. Weird how I’m looking for a T100 for a first bike but this thing just looks… fun :)
Hay there, welcome to the channel. It’s a great bike and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Fun is the right word for sure 🤙🤙
I’ve just p ex a 2022 Triumph street twin for a zx4rr. That Triumph kept going wrong all the time, I spent most of my time at the dealer having warranty claims. Total junk and boring to ride.
Sadly it's rev limited to 11,500 in Canada due to noise laws/ my country not allowing fun or enjoyment. Easily fixable, but very unfortunate.
Ah man that’s sucks. Glad it’s an easy fix though. 🤙
i hope you get out of jail soon bro 😭
@@RubyXIII😂😂😂 LoL
It’s not rev limited to 11,500 but power is reduced from there to the redline of 16,000.
Also watered down version in US, thanks Kawi for neutering a great bike🤯
Great bike, just got the 2024 in black and love the color. The US version is neutered for some stupid reason so its only producing around 55 hp but when fixed it should be near 80 or so and then it will be a giant killer in experienced hands. Only real gripes are the weight 415 lbs is porky and the watered down US version, looking past that its one of the most fun bikes you will ever ride!😎
Great review! This bike looks so much fun! I want to hear a bike howl and have to work through the gears at legal speeds ; 77bhp is perfect. I am similar in dimensions and weight to you so I value your opinion more than most reviewers in their slim leathers!
haha slim leathers, ive never owned any of them :). I know what you mean with regards to that feeling of getting the most out of your bike/engine/gears. This delivers in spades for that
@@DSR1YT I’ve never owned leathers and certainly nothing slim either ! Btw , I did an insurance quote for one of these and was shocked to see £1000-£1100/yr for 10k miles. Kept in a garage and 6 years no claims , 45 year old rider with no points. My 2015 CB500F is £140/yr 🤣. This must be about how likely it is to be stolen as a new sports bike .
@nickclarkuk Jesus. That’s expensive. Probably mate yeah. They may just assume it’s going to be more newer riders on these so whack a premium on it as well. Who knows with these insurance companies. They’re all scam artists.
Great video 👍 some of the lower cc bikes do get looked over, just a tad expensive though for me.
That’s the problems isn’t it. Make em a few grand cheaper and now we are talking. Sadly 10k is too much.
My brand new mt10 cost me £10,700 back in 2017. 🤦🏻😁
@@DSR1YT Yeap I get it's the RR model but its going up against some big bikes for the same money, maybe one day it will sort it's self out 🤔😂
When’s that? When our wages go up high enough we can afford it ?😁
@@DSR1YT was thinking a lotto win 😉😂
How many miles or km on full tank ?
Nice video, is a good bike for commuting honestly? daily use (comfortable) and weekend touring, of perhaps recreation purpose? it is wise to jump from naked bike to this supersport for daily use
Any way great video
Be safea
I would say yes mate. Comfy for a small bike. Easy to ride for any experience level aswell. This would be easier to filter through traffic because of its slimline profile.
Glad you enjoyed the video. 🤙🤙🤙
@@DSR1YT Thanks
Great review Matt! Seriously considering one of these. Just trying to gauge whether it's an everyday bike or not? Sometimes you just want to pootle about for an hour or two, don't want to be riding flat out all the time! Not sure that there's enough torque there for those lazy rides. Would really appreciate your opinion Matt.👍
Thanks trev, glad to hear you enjoyed the video.
If I wanted a bike to have a laugh on. Not take myself too seriously. Feel like I’m giving it some beans when I’m actually not. Then this bike ticks those boxes. And I’d say yes you can pootle about on this for sure. 😁🤙
@@DSR1YT Thanks for your response Matt, really appreciate it mate. Just gotta decide now on KRT version or the Anniversary Colour way!
Keep up the great content.👍
@trevb464 you’re welcome trev. Got to be kawi green. Then people might mistake this for a bigger bike as well 😁🤙
@@DSR1YT Think I'm leaning on the side of KRT to be honest Matt. Like you say a mini ZX10! 😂
@trevb464 I’m not jealous at all 😁. Need to get Zoe out on it and see what she thinks of it 🤙
I already dropped mine lmao its my first bike so 😅🤷🏽♂️ but its a light scuff, she has some stretch marks now ❤
Dont worry about it mate, we all drop it at some point. I had a brand new MT10 - took it in to the garden, side stand down, turned my back and the ground had given way and swallowed the side stand, bike was just laying on its side. we live and learn :)
@@DSR1YT true true ! I was bummed out at first but now it doesn’t bother me at all and i look at it as a learning situation kinda like you said here ! Thanks for the comment bro !
good review mate.i like this bike,it looks fun.
However, imo i think its too heavy and too expensive.and if i were looking at track days,i would smoke that on an rgv250 or maybe the original zxr400 which is 30kgs lighter.they should have done the retro colour scheme aswell, because lets be honest, they are aiming at people like me mainly who feel nostalgic about the good old days.when manufacturers didnt have to cater for the rider who has no riding sense.
Cheers mate. They may beat it but I’d rather be cutting around on one of these. I’ll leave you to ride the old school bikes mate 😁🤙
@@DSR1YT i cant afford the old skool bikes now!😂if i had 6k i'd be investing in a mid 90's rgv250 though!
Great bike....but comes as CBU in my country 😢 sadly it failed because the price tags are over the roof 😢
Ahman, sorry to hear that, yeah price tag is high here as well :)
I was looking at getting the same bike from the same dealership but I don't have my licence yet
A little gift to yourself before you’ve even passed your test. I like it 🤣
@@DSR1YT yeah but all the extras they give you'd like the Road tax and AA would be going to waste, will you be doing another vid with this bike
Idk wtf a “zedx” is but I love the zx-4rr 👍🏻
Sorry Rizzelneck if my England is not up to your standards.
New subs here
Welcome to the clan 🤙. Which country are you from?
WICH BIKES ARE COMPETETORS FOR THIS BIKE????
It better be the best at $10k+ for 400cc
I think that’s what happens when it’s got RR on the end. It’s not your dad’s learner bike. Also it’s less than ten grand
@@chrisnielsen9885 over 10 with destination charge everywhere around here 🙃 don't forget also being detuned for the US 🤧
Just goes to show that the US ain’t the best country in the world 😁🤐
@@DSR1YT it's easily fixable with an ECU tune, thanks emissions
ممكن سعر بل دولار أمريكي
Try Google?
Pathetic the curb weight is same as an 890cc Yamaha MT09! WTF? I would expect 50llbs less for a bike LESS than half the displacement! See that tells me one thing....Big time Price Point compromIses
U need to drive these bikes faster ... you're too much in the safety zone
I like keeping my licence clean thank you. I don’t need to constantly film myself speeding everywhere. There’s plenty of idiotic reviewers out there for that.
Just because I don’t include clips of me speeding. Doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy the bike.
