@@charlesm.8807 Theoretically you could possibly buy a zx4r now, keep it until the new facelifted one hits the dealers. They are going to be getting rid of the 2022-2023 model years at a discount most likely. So you possibly sell the zx4rr at the same price or trade it at the same price as a 2023/2022 636. It's basically the same bike just without the TFT and krs and shit like that.

I see lots of comments that "Now it's as fast as my Ninja 650/R7/SV650" for a lot more money. True. Subjectively, anything 650cc or bigger is going to be faster, but that's not the point. You have to ride a high revving 400cc bike first before making those comments. After riding one, you will either think it's the coolest thing you've ever ridden, or just won't be for you.
A big part of the experience is running it into a corner, downshifting 2 or 3 times, firing out of the corner running to redline in 2 or 3 gears then looking down at the speedo, and seeing you are barely over the speed limit, instead of being in license jeopardizing territory.

This is still literally ZX-6R money. On the showroom floor right now this at 9700. 6 bikes away 10,200 non abs ZX-6R. I was looking today. I want a track toy. A squid with a 20 year old 600 eats you up all day long. At a track, everyone is passing you. This bike should have been 7500 tops. I would seriously look at it for that. For 11k otd and needing flash, tires, and exhaust? For 600 bucks more just buy the bike you will end up trading it in on.

@alexwhiteman2628 and the better rider does not stay on a 4. And would not spend the 636 money on a 4. I did start out small. A 50cc 3 Speed MR50. To 70, to 85, to 125, to 250, to my first street bike. Which was a 500. Now my smallest bike is a 750. And I looked at the 4 for a track toy. It was why I watched these videos on it. But you cannot justify 11k out the door for one. Maybe if it was a boutique Ducati 400. But Kawa¿? Nah. This was at least priced 2k too much.

Like I understand what people are trying to to say, but twins fucking die in the upper rpm (besides the rs660 Aprilia are demons). i4 just have a magic in high rpm that is not the same.
If you like torque then go enjoy your torque. I want that engine spinning up and crankshaft BUZZING as my exhaust sings out my tune. And that's on every corner.
Now there is finally an option outside of r3/ninja500 that won't get you arrested.
      I went gw250, cbr500r, cbr600rr and honestly I could see myself on a zx4rr

    Hi from Belgium.
Effectively, there are different specs and power outputs in different markets. Europe gets the full power versions, but the USA, for instance, has a restricted 42kW (56.3hp) ZX-4RR and in Australia the power is pegged at 55kW (73.8hp). In Europe, 57kW (77hp) (it is quite strange for me because we usually are always more restricted in Europe than in the US).

    • @Michael-Masi-911
      @Michael-Masi-911 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

How many years have you riden the Grom? This ZX4RR is a wonderful and fun bike, but not a great commuter bike.
You have to ride it pretty hard to keep it up in the power range, and a daily work grind is best done at more sensible and less adrenaline pumping speeds and revs.
And it's as noisy as hell. So if you ever have to go to work early your neighbours will hate you.
And if you're stuck in traffic in summer she is going to start to cook you with hot air coming off the fairing.
For a commute you want one of those big scooters. The Yamaha TMAX 560 a great choice. Or the Suzuki 400 I think it's called Burgman or Burgham.
If you can't love a scooter go Naked, MT-03. Or if it's got to look like this then get a Ninja 400/500.

Zx4rr was detuned to reduce noise for US laws because it's inline 4 revving to 16k
95% of bikes are factory tuned to run at a reasonable high level where they will still give the engine a very good long life, but won't leave much power on the table
With an ECU you probably won't get more than a couple hp, if even that.
Decat, exhaust, intake ECU and a Dyno tune and you might get maybe 10hp
