@@SpeedCubeReview You should take a look at the newer Spin-master version of the 2x2 and 3x3. I haven't really tried the newer Spin-master version of the 5x5 yet. So I can't really say if they did improve it.
I haven't touched a tiled cube ever lol, it seems like a great solution for people who like the look of stickered cubes.
That is true! I have rubik's 4x4 and I like stickered cubes look and tiles are good idea!
Always loved the tiles of the Rubik’s cube brand. Sooo much better than Stickered or Stickerless....
They should team up with one of the major speed cube producers more often.
They did team up with gan a few years ago but gan still makes a 3x3 with tiles

I like that it's tiled and I'd take this over a V-Cube any day.
I wonder how long it'll take for Rubik's to release their first stickerless-style cube (meaning no uncolored border designs). The only one they've ever done is the "Rubik's Slide", but that's not a twisty puzzle despite being in the shape of a 3x3.
I feel like they wouldn't release one ever but who knows what'll happen in the future
@@chacharoni9638 Rubik's: When competitions had a Zhanchi on top, they still had their original design. When GAN started a rise to power, they just started with their speedcube line. 2020? They redesigned their awful cubes and added magnets to the 3x3. Now? They just made a good 4x4. Good, but not great.
I have always liked the classic look of Rubik's tiled puzzles, but my Rubik's Revenge from about 5 years ago was so hard to turn that i gave it to a buddy of mine to put in his classroom for his kids. I need to pick one of these up.
V Cube. Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
I still have my V Cube 5x5 that I bought when I first started getting into big cubes about 10 or 11 years ago. I'll just say there was a reason I wasn't that enamored with 5x5 back then.
I wish they’d make a real speed 4x4 like the new speed 3x3 they have, but this will satisfy me for now. Just glad to see Rubik’s is actually improving.
I like the tiles on the recent Rubik’s puzzles. Too bad I prefer a different color scheme.
Just realized. Since you use Hoya too, your last solve was a good chance for me to check on my own progress with 4x4
Wow that puzzle turns a lot better than my old Rubik’s brand 4x4. And you can actually tension it that’s is awesome.

its been i think over a year since i last used "proper" lube on my mains, ive chnged to glicerine, works great with my turning style, and lasts months. if anyone is interested in cheaper alternatives
they have a new 3x3 and 2x2 aswell. i just brought the 3x3 and with first turns it blew me away. the rubiks brand has come a long way.
They also redid their 2x2.I have both the original and the new one
Hi Shawn, recently I've decided to expand my Rubik's brand collection and so I ordered the Rubik's Master...sad to say when I received it I discovered that it was the older one, still tiled, same logo and pretty similar to this one, but without any screw system and an awful inner mechanism 😓 (the one Jperm reviewed)
Furthermore the inner layers don't have contact surface and the cube is loud and irritating to solve...in a physical shop I could look for a cube with screws and I would be sure about it but I can't find it anywhere...how and where can I find the most recent version and how may I recognize it on a website? thanks in advance, hope you can help me 🥲
I found mine at my local grocery store. You may need to ask them if they can order it as the new ones should be that model.

Another Rubik's-GAN collab (as unlike a GAN cube as it is) , no? Wouldn't go for it myself, although I do find tiled puzzles to be strangely alluring for reasons I can't really explain. Good eval and appreciate your careful assessment and not just taking a big dump on them for cred (not your style at all, I know). 👍

I've gotten my hands on the new Spin Master 3x3 and 2x2
The 3x3 is tensionable and it looks kinda like the Yulong v2 in terms of pieces and core
It's split piece design so you can even magnetize it if you want to
The 2x2 is still smaller than normal
Besides one really long screw and a spring, it's still an all plastic core mechanism which is frustrating to say the least
It is capped design, so I'm unsure of its magnetizing capabilities
So all in all, 3x3 is good, 2x2 is not
At least the original 2x2 had the quirk of the ball core
i aways get lost with even parity and parity for the last edge pairs and aways have troble remembering the alg for both:
x pairty (when the last 2 edge are crossed) and L parity (where 2 or 1 are parrellel)
if you just want to solve the cube you only have to remember 1 parity alg for PLL parity and 1 alg for OLL parity

@@Kevin-qj7fp if you get OLL Parity do (best with the flipped edge in front, but does not matter) 2R' U2 2L F2 2L' F2 2R2 U2 2R U2 2R' U2 F2 2R2 F2 and after that solve the rest of the cube like a regular 3x3
if you get PLL Parity do 2R2 U2 2R2 Uw2 2R2 Uw2 and after that solve the cube like a regular 3x3
Lower case often just means an inner slice and an upper case with a w is a wide move. Sooome places use lower case for wide moves too which can be confusing.
For OLL use
R’ U2 (l F2 l’ F2)
r2 U2 (r U2 r’ U2)
F2 r2 F2
For PLL use
R2 U2 r2 Uw2 r2 u2
The () in the OLL alg os just to help organize it because it is long.
like from this video i still have troble getting the moves right for the LAST 2 EDGE pairs
since it can be cross(X) last edges or L shape last edges

Rubiks brand is for the ogs but it isnt the best for speed cubing

@@SpeedCubeReview the first layer is stuck with the 4 layer and when im going to move the cube the first layer move the 4 layer

I've found neither of them perform as well as Maru

It's such a small amount that I rarely have an issue from it. Every few months I may clean the cube.
I still have the original. My local Walmart has the new better one so ai might buy it and throw the original one out.
I own a ‘07 rubiks revenge and its the worst piece of plastic I’ve ever touched
