Usually GTA 5 has a speedlimit cap of 336 MPH, but seeing as father son was programmed by an infant, it would not surprise me if that truck could exceed 1522 MPH
Baron: “I regret making the starts too risky for the speedrun video because people always come in stream and ask me to do the risky strats” Also Baron:
Alex's Customs yeah most speed running communities do that. It’s a good thing I feel like there are a couple reasons. First you would be known as the guy who found it which is big. Second I feel like having other people know the trick makes who has the record show they have that much skill. Third it makes a good time more believable.
Do another playthrough. The “right way”. So Option C, save Lester’s assassin missions for after the final score, always use Tatiana as your driver and Ricky as your hacker, Packie makes a great Gunman too.
Seeing you guys being mentioned made me so happy. Used to watch your stunt montages years ago. And when I started watching more gta 5 speedrunning videos my mind instantly jumped to all the stunt stats and how they might be able to help the run. Cool to see that you guys started to find some time safes
I think I found another speedrun tactic. During the mission "Chop", when you have to let D out, drive to and stop at the BJ Smith Rec Center, that way, when D leaves the van, you drop Lamar off there right away.
For the motorcycle ones, remember there's an air cancel glitch that you can use to your advantage by making the character standing upright before hitting the mission cue
These videos are so cool. It's good to see how much thought goes into each and every detail, the whole community trial-and-error-ing their way through it.
This is a good example of different communities mixing and ultimately finding strats and refining the run. Been enjoying this series. Good luck on the grind and hope you find favor with RNGesus.
If FriendlyBaron has spent 12699 hours in GTAV and we assume he will live to be about 80 years old, if he were to quit playing right now, he would have spent nearly 2% of his life playing this game.
@ioan gamer HQ yes, during the game it's Micheal DE SANTA. Micheal Townley is his name in the prologue "Ludendorff, North Yankton, 9 years ago" 13-9=4 -> 2004
yeah more or less what masaboy said. since my brakeboost guide, we've basically found holding franklin's power just a bit longer, about twice as long, actually ends up being much more powerful boosts. its honestly hard enough to explain further than that, it's better left as a tip for someone experienced with boosting already to try. having someone new to boosting attempting that right away would mess them up for too long
What an entertaining video. Love that stunt jumpers are actually trying to look at speedrun strats, that's gonna make speedruns so much more interesting if we get some worth strats.
Idk if anybody told you this but when you’re on a motorcycle or bicycle if you jump at the right time a little bit above the size of two people stacked ontop of eatchother and rapidly pull up the weapon wheel and pull out a gun your player will land on his feet. And that might save extra time on the life invader mission and possibly others.
@@FriendlyBaron That's more epic, more weird for Davey But more epic for us. Also keep going you are a great GTA channel (not like others, cof cof MrBossFTW)
I think a lot of the "not worth" strats are only not worth it for your style, but others like the stunters could use them with success. so I like that you point them out here
oh for sure its mostly for me and burhac i am basing these off of, or some of the people newer to running classic%/trevor% - if someone had a unique ability to make these jumps work they can pull them off for sure
For the first one, you can actually make the jump easier by driving off of the beginning of the sidewalk instead of the mountain, control yourself in the air well enough and you should be able to land on the ground fine, probably doesn’t change the rating, but it’s good to know
I really appreciate not just how much time you spend on GTA, but also the fact that you reply to most of the comments put on your videos. Keep up the great work ;)
this video makes me want to give speedrunning a try, i feel like it is most definitely possible for one of us stunting dudes to learn the mission strats and combine it with our map/stunting knowledge and make a crazy wr time happen. would be interesting for sure. also just want to say thank you for including the stunting community in one of your videos! although im 3 years late lol
wouldnt have been possible without the stunt community helping us with the strats in this video at the time. as yet, nothing crazy has been implemented in the run, though theres a few big jumps in cars now, check the end of the big score mission, some of AleksHonix's top clips on twitch have it lol
WOW man just saw the jump, its actually pretty crazy. that shit would literally be harder for me than any of the strats shown in this video. minus that life invader one. if one of you speedrunners decided to commit a month or so to learning the glide then it could open up so much more for yall (potentially). and i hope people have started using these other car stunts mentioned, they all seem relatively simple as long as you hold handbrake in the air to prevent going to the sides. love your videos btw! @@FriendlyBaron
