Hands down, the most fun gta V strat video I've ever seen. I know that to make more you essentially have to discover new starts which is a lot of work, but please make more of these.

I like this video. This is one of those videos I subconsciously hope exist out there knowing it’s not likely because there’s not really a word for it. I found it in my recommended and am enthused.
When I was playing the last mission of GTA 4, I ran Fraps and told it to record at 30fps. When I needed to limit my framerate for the section where you enter the helicopter, I pressed a hotkey to start recording, which forced my game to run at 30fps. Would something like that be allowed in GTA 5 speedruns, or would you not be allowed to use an external program to limit your framerate?
That helicopter section... I never finished that game because of that, could never get in the helicopter. Mere minutes away from finishing the game and I couldn't do it because I wasn't proficient enough at pressing the damn space bar. Hardest final boss ever. I'd like to slap the person who thought it was a good idea to put that final impassable dumb hurdle right before the end of the game and, if I recall correctly, after a pretty long shootout with no checkpoint inbetween.
@@Huntracony They based the rate you need to spam jump at on the framerate, so you have to somehow lower it down by eg. using Fraps or using task manager to limit the number of cores GTA 4 can use. Is it dumb? Yes. They should've implemented a constant tick rate and base all timings off that, like Half Life 2 did in 2004. Or at least playtest the darn port on a good PC. Or fix it in an update.

I can remember missions, but not the speedruns route to the mission. I can only remember iconic ones like blimp strat and the beginning of Franklin & Lamar where you should get ahead to get boost from Lamar.

8:50 how about instead of a Grenade you use a sticky bomb? I know it could be limiting in a run but possibly worth to check out. Simply drop the sticky and before running out the door blow it up. It could be safer and just as fast as the risky.
it's cause you don't have sticky bombs at that point in the game. Wade gives you them in Friends Reunited (the mission after crystal maze) The only other way to get sticky bombs is on the map in Los Santos. you can't taxi in classic% so not worth the time
I think if you get caught in the explosion while using Trevor's power you get randomly knocked around the house, until you run out of power and die (or randomly get thrown out of the door, if you're VERY lucky). Saw that happen in a few DarkViperAU highlight videos. So, yeah. It doesn't work.

8:50 how about instead of a Grenade you use a sticky bomb? I know it could be limiting in a run but possibly worth to check out. Simply drop the sticky and before running out the door blow it up. It could be safer and just as fast as the risky.
it's cause you don't have sticky bombs at that point in the game. Wade gives you them in Friends Reunited (the mission after crystal maze)
The only other way to get sticky bombs is on the map in Los Santos. you can't taxi in classic% so not worth the time

It's probably a scripted thing. If you get hit by damage from it, you'll automatically fail. (Assuming)

I think if you get caught in the explosion while using Trevor's power you get randomly knocked around the house, until you run out of power and die (or randomly get thrown out of the door, if you're VERY lucky). Saw that happen in a few DarkViperAU highlight videos.
So, yeah. It doesn't work.
