Finally the video been released, I seen your post on the GSF owner FB group asking for "thing you hates/ cons about GSF" One thing i have to add is the air vent on driver is almost useless at blowing air when aim at driver. Yes we USA owner got a poverty specs GSF, no rear sunshades, no rear console control and no power open/close boot. Seeing the Matador Red Mica on the GSF looks really good, I almost forgot that i have the same GSF in sitting in garage lol. Yes the front lower carbon fiber lip does take good beating from motorway usage. Major service is every 60,000 miles (roughly 100k km) and by Toyota major mean (replace spark plugs, differential fluids, air filter/ cabin air filter and whipper blade lol). I also went and drain and fill the transmission fluid as well. My GSF has 70k miles and so far no creak or rattle in the interior, the car does suffer from interior cabon delaminating on the driver side trim piece. The car originally from California owned by Lexus and later move to Texas. Great reviews and cheer mate.

From memory there is one issue with something hidden underneath the inlet manifold but apart from that they seem solid. Most people complain about the rev buzzer
Ugh, I want one. I have an LX 570 now. Just love how easy Lexus vehicles are to own, compared to the Germans (previously had an M3). For me, the GS F is the perfect blend of usability, reliability, and fun.
GSF first year only fixed dampers are a bit firm and on highways that vary from asphalt to concrete it’s not quite supple enough. 3600 rpm half+ throttle epic sound, TVD makes curves fun and a little slidey. Tach center w speedo = Porsche, so no adjustment when you go between the two.
Regarding the brakes. That is an easy fix, I have a 14 LS with the Brembo brakes and they made a ton of dust. Switched over to EBC red stuff a few months ago and those make 1/4 of the dust. A little bit of noise but not much worse than stock and I've found them to be a bit easier to modulate as well.
I picked up 10th anniversary model 4 years ago and love it completely. Not one complaint, living in a very hot place, I've experienced none of the problem you stated they may have, even when looking for real problems with this car, some people have to make up stuff like my truck leaks, but only a couple of cars. WTF? So why even say that then? They don't leak, but people do close stuff in the lid sometimes and complain about leaks, I've seen that happen before. This car is so much better at so many things than it's competition it's in a class by its self. The markets switched decades ago to shallow people that "need" but can't buy a nice car so they can rent it for 3-4 years, walk away with nothing but payments paid and more on the way, with no emphases on reliability or maintenance in the car equation, or enjoying that rental ever again. If you want to buy and drive your own car, have that feeling of not being stranded in the middle of now where or constantly repairing a car when you always need it, than you need to have your head examined for I.Q. and ego levels to see if you are an adult, or a kid or a women, figure it out fast because the future will mess you up if you blow money to look cool instead of long term survival. I loved this man analogy, I am tall, thin and ware lose close, feels good, I like it that way, and this is the sleeper of sleeper cars out there. I don't by anything for others to comment on, it's all about what I like. This guy's take on that behavior of car owners or car renters is spot on. Americans are the same, for most, it's more about what co-workers and friends think than having any sense about what the car is for in the first place for a forward thinking owner. #1) A to B every time without exceptions, sounds and feels good to be in, fun to drive. When you park and walk away, you often take a look back like it's a young hot girl, just to get one more smile out of the process, knowing you get to drive it again real soon. Buy this car used, you'll never get rid of it for something better. Maybe different, but not better. Everything else is a trade off of drivability / comfort for speed bump challenges and getting in and out on a double date. No better 4 person car on the road, although the SUV's may nicer for that, they don't set you free to really drive when alone like this cruiser will. It's fast, stops fast and the suspension in the corners can't be better or safer with is computers letting you fishtail just enough to make you smile and laugh with no chance of hitting guard rails or other traffic. It's how high power should be delivered in a luxury sports car. Love it. BTW, I just installed 4 new tires last month and the car feels like it drove out of the show room, smoothly rolling on the HWY, then zipping around lanes and corners effortlessly just like band new. I hope you can find one if you want one. Most don't know what these really are all about so you may stumble upon a great buy, skip the 2016, it didn't have the much improved electronic suspension yet, 2017 on is fine, be patient, lot's of people will be selling assets this year needing money, maybe you can help. Good luck.
my next car, right here. As an owner of a 2013 GS350, this is the natural progression upward, IMO. Probably will keep the GS350 for a family member, why ever sell one?
Another Toyota/Lexus masterpiece, why do fools continue to waste their money on overpriced and unreliable European cars, when they can buy a Lexus GSF.
Good video and precise information. The rarity is very real, I’ve yet to see one in person. As an RCF owner I’ve only seen 4 others within 40 mile of my home. I keep my Pre Collision System off because it almost killed me lol 113k miles and can still touch 170 with ease. Last long time.
Now you're talking. My sons RC-F was superb, and as you said cost bugger all to service, and of coarse never missed a beat. And that noise they make on start up, my god.
i recently traded my m4 for an rcf and could not be happier. no its not the fastest but when productions cars are now in the 700-1,000 hp range, does any of that really matter? where you gonna use it?
2018 gs f..........the m5 is a sexy looking car also......you cant pay me to buy a used BMW.....i bought a used BMW 750i .....under warranty with my credit union.....it was in the shop so much my credit union warranty co. cancelled my warranty even though i had 20k miles left on my warranty....they said this the last payment we are making...it was an internal oil leak that cost 7500.00 to fix...and that was the last repair......the warranty cost me about 2300.00 about 10 years ago....they paid out about 13k on diff. repairs
Pretty spot on review! I had a ‘16 GS F and now a ‘19, both are great all around performance cars. Neither is as quick as my former CL55 or E60 M5 but they’re pretty close. Lexus would have hit a home run if it had put an 8k RPM screaming V8 with 500hp in the GS F!
10:41 I don't know about you, but I can't take my eyes off that bloody cable at the top of the A pillar. What's that even for and surely there's a better way to fit it?
Depends if you are using sport or normal mode and if you are manually shifting or in 'D'. Manually upshifting and downshifting in sport mode is actually the same time in milliseconds as a ZF auto. In 'D' the time to kick down to the desired gear is sluggish.
When I graduate next year, this is my car of choice as a gift to myself. I've been watching the used values of these sit around $40-$45k so I am keeping fingers crossed they dip into the 30's again! (pre-covid, these were starting to dip into high 30's).
Having a 2012 gs350 down here in NZ (which is the same generation as this GSF) and even that got plenty of power the potential to lose your license. It will happily cruise along at 180kph as quietly and effortlessly as if its doing 100, only if we can do such speed here. :( Its now my second car and my car of choice for going on a long road trip, so powerful, comfortable and luxurious while sipping fuel at below 8L/100km. Also cant believe they stuck such a massive screen into a car back then, its still massive in todays standard. But been putting the car up for sales for 4 months already and only ONE person came view the car :(
Maaaate. If you're ever in NZ, I have a stage 1 2011 B8 S4 that I'd be happy for you to do a review on. But be quick, because I may yet trade it on one of these...
I'd love if you can make a comparison rcf vs lc500. Both are dream car for me, and can't afford both. I know rcf has more track orientated setup, while lc500 is more like a beast for gentlemens on the road. Which one should I choose? Here in the UK is a 10k difference, which is fine with me, but really worth the £ on top? Shouldn't I use that on the rcf for more aggressive kit (which either of both, will get dependens on what I'll choose) 😁? Yes, much smoother 10 speed transmission, way, better looking LC, but rcf more for bad boys on track as mentioned. Really confused 😂
13:54 Toyota 8sp Auto more reliable? Based on what data and evidence? The ZF8HP is in more cars than the Aisin AA80E so will have more issues, but to say that the Aisin is more reliable without providing any evidence seems a little poor.

Lexus GS F owners groups… you guys are awesome, Tesla owners groups… you guys are assholes.
This is indeed a great car even just the ordinary GS. Sadly, it's been discontinued.
12:57 apparently this issue is appeared to have been resolved with new iteration same engine inside LC-500.
Now you're talking. My sons RC-F was superb, and as you said cost bugger all to service, and of coarse never missed a beat. And that noise they make on start up, my god.
Love the look of some Lexus models and I'm used to using my left hand for my mouse despite being right handed but I need a liftback or wagon
Me too. I'd love a GS but the practicality just isn't there. I wish they did an estate version.
i recently traded my m4 for an rcf and could not be happier. no its not the fastest but when productions cars are now in the 700-1,000 hp range, does any of that really matter? where you gonna use it?
Lexus are generally underrated but this is a special car
2018 gs f..........the m5 is a sexy looking car also......you cant pay me to buy a used BMW.....i bought a used BMW 750i .....under warranty with my credit union.....it was in the shop so much my credit union warranty co. cancelled my warranty even though i had 20k miles left on my warranty....they said this the last payment we are making...it was an internal oil leak that cost 7500.00 to fix...and that was the last repair......the warranty cost me about 2300.00 about 10 years ago....they paid out about 13k on diff. repairs
I got a Lexus GS and a AMG Benz I can’t complain honestly they both great cars 💯👌🏾
This is a dream car of mine. They sound so damn good when you reduce the engine bay sound dampening.
Brilliant review!!
Love the “Driver Training” advice. Very appropriate
The M5 blows this car out the water performance wise. But the reliability on the GSF blows the M5 out the water.
Love the GS F, shame prices are damn expensive (even the 2016 models). Imagine if they made a wagon version... drooooool
Nooooo I've had my eye on these for a while and they're rare enough as it is without this video being out there for all to know about this gem 😭
Was the intro filmed in Zetland?
Nice work guys.
Can agree with the gearbox issue. Been spoilt by the excellent ZF in BMWs. Makes everything else super annoying to drive.
You won’t find one that cheap unless it has a ton of miles or bad car fax.
I like the interior, reminds me of an old school SC400
Yes absolutely 💯 without doubt
Hands down. This is a must buy proposition.
Lexus = Reliable performance, that is priceless.
Having a 2012 gs350 down here in NZ (which is the same generation as this GSF) and even that got plenty of power the potential to lose your license. It will happily cruise along at 180kph as quietly and effortlessly as if its doing 100, only if we can do such speed here. :(
Its now my second car and my car of choice for going on a long road trip, so powerful, comfortable and luxurious while sipping fuel at below 8L/100km.
Also cant believe they stuck such a massive screen into a car back then, its still massive in todays standard.
But been putting the car up for sales for 4 months already and only ONE person came view the car :(
Someone stuffed a supercharger on a 350 and outperformed the V8 F-sports. Just so you know…
Actually they facelifted the GS in 2015-2016, so yours is technically not the same
I'm looking at getting a IS 300H either a 2013 or 2015 - 17. Are these cars reliable ? It would be the 2.5L 4 cylinder
Nah. Don’t get anything from Lexus pre-2018 that isn’t 3.5L or more. All their previous sub-3L petrol engines have terrible carbon buildup.
@@AndreiGonzalesDesign It's only the 2.5 V6 which is direct injection only and a flawed engine from creation, everything else is fine.
This is the next car. And I would like the LC500 soft top too.
If I ever win the lotto or something, the first thing I'm doing is going to my nearest Lexus dealer and ordering an LC500 convertible.
10:16 many M3/C63 owners buy those are purely for the numbers and dare I say some doesn't some doesn't even know how to extract 100% from a FWD Yaris!
Points for the direction in life bit verse the ashtray gig 😂 I tell my daughter this all the time , although I smoke.
Hot 🔥
Love seeing non-SUV reviews 👌
13:54 Toyota 8sp Auto more reliable? Based on what data and evidence? The ZF8HP is in more cars than the Aisin AA80E so will have more issues, but to say that the Aisin is more reliable without providing any evidence seems a little poor.
Let me also say that your videos are always awesome and filled with excellent info and I will 100% use them for any second hand car purchase.
😎🖤 should i upgrade from a 2GS??
