I wish I was like you bro, but I just feel trapped in the system living w ma parents my whole life, maybe because it's all IV ever known, but I'm trying to make some friends in this eco living community, how do u find all these amazing places that you have been showing in your videos? In like a website directory or FB term can check? Thanks again
Hey brother, I have been lucky to spend time living on some farms with very cool people that motivated and helped me to learn about edible, medicinal & other useful plants which is now a passion I take with me wherever I go. As you can see in this video, I'm just finding cool plants to learn about wherever I find myself... This world is totally accessible, & if you are feeling called to it I recommend going on a website like workaway or WWOOF and finding a farm to live & help out at. From there I'm sure you will make connections that will lead you further towards living the lifestyle you're interested in.
So is it a real fig or not. My guess is no dispute being called figs and having ficus in their name. I don't really know though. Anyone want to comment?
Hi, it is definitely not a real fig. I can see your confusion with its latin name containing "ficus", however the distinction is that with this plant the word ficus is part of the species name (Ficus-Indica), not the genus (Opuntia). Any real fig will be of the genus "Ficus", and will have a species name following that. In this case the latin words ficus-indica are acting as descriptor words for the fruit, translating to "Indian Fig". Does that clear it up?
