Great info. I finally had success using the steamer. I followed all your instructions - thank you! Although my wallpaper was a demon to get off, no method worked except the steamer - I could not even get any of the outer layer off without it. It was tremendous!

Glad it helped! Yeah, it's amazing how tough some of it can be but I'm glad you finally had success!!

Thanks so much for the tips! My husband and I just bought our first home. It has 50 year old wallpaper throughout every room, I’m terrified lol.

Have ONE wall that is being stubborn . . . hoping your video give me incentive to finish the struggle. Will require a bit of repair when removal is done. 😰
Please consider putting a link to your other wallpaper video in the description for this video.

Yeah, it's surprising how sometimes one part will be easy and another will be difficult. The part of my kitchen that was really difficult ended up having multiple layers of paper - that's why it was so tough to get down. I hope you get yours done soon! It's HARD WORK!

Yeah I just tried water only and water + vinegar 1:1 mix, it didn't make too much difference besides leaving the vinegar smell until the next day. I think it was eventually the hot water (I used the hottest I can get from tap water directly, but not hot enough) which really soaks through the wall paper helps removing things. So you're right that patience is very important! I think I should get this steamer thing eventually, as the sponge + hot water needs to be applied over and over again... it's way too tedious and time consuming.

The steamer is life changing if you have a bunch of wallpaper! You might ask around and see if you can borrow one if you don't want to buy one - a lot of people have them laying around.

    I lol....long ago..old paper...yes..."flocked". Grrr. I later learned...I'm talking 70's....wet down..hot iron..peel fast!
Now..2023...go figure..2 simple strips of wallpaper...1976...I recognized it!...in my apt. Thank you..only a little bit compared to my 1st home..1976..& PURPLE FLOCKED room.
    Humm...now I wonder... never mind!
Nothing new & improved.."elbow grease & a lot of patience!"
