They might have been expecting concours quality - which was never promised nor expected. Love this anyway , as you did everything on your own. I can’t even spray can my alloy wheels myself. So to me; whatever you’re doing might as well be concours😅
I've luckily been able to continue working from home. Ive also been getting work done on my 1982 Autobianchi a112 Abarth and sent it away for a respray. Now I'm working on the engine. I'm a total noob, so it's taking me alot of time and research to do things right. Parts also take time to get, so it's a nice active. I'm looking most forward to hugging my friends and family and being social. With a wife working in healthcare I've almost not seen anyone in person since March. Great video and stay safe!
I escape into loud angry new music when I can to cope with lockdown. But my brother had a garage and him and my brother in law would spray cars. The garage was heated by a wood burner!! so it couldn't run when you were spray painting. So they'd warm it up, let it out and paint through the night with it getting colder and colder. Some bright spark gave them a ginger bottle full of home made poteen. And they decided a wee nip would keep out the cold whilst they spray painted a car. We found them in the morning, they'd sprayed the car, the floor, the windows and each other and were stuck in their boilers to the floor, drunk as skunks and fast asleep. We cut them off the floor and it looked like a crime scene taped up in bits of boiler suit. Car was perfect but we never let them forget it. Love your videos.
Just realised that this video is better than any episode I have seen of wheeler dealers ..Absolutely admire the way you are not scared to tackle anything on a car be it mechanical paint or detailing ..You are a star & should be on TV 🌟
One of my favorite channels. Thanks for showing the painting. I’ve always wondered about that and now I can appreciate it all the more. Scotland is definitely one of my top favorite places. I sure hope you can go home for Christmas. I’m hoping so to, about 400 miles to see my elderly mother. When all of this Covid stuff is over I want to hug everybody! Happy holidays from Whidbey Island, WA State.
Very good little video, nice job at least you give it a go. Keep them coming and I am looking forward to seeing my family again, I live on my own and not a young lad anymore, love the videos you make me smile and I love Moose.
Maybe one off the best videos that I have watch here on TH-cam ! You are a real craftsman and you understands what you are doing in a simpel but very profesional way ! And my sympathy for Scotland is doing the rest ! Loved the result at the end and I will follow you from now on !! Watch this from Ther Netherlands !
Some how I missed these 2 vlogs when they were released. Great job on the prep and paint, haven’t seen the second video yet, going to watch that in a while. I’m most looking forward to giving my mum a hug and I think she’s most looking forward to hugging her great grandson. I’ve been working through the whole Covid thing, emergency services so no time to do much else! 😊
You make it look so straightforward but I can’t imagine the time, patience, hard work and skill that goes in to taking on a project like this. Brilliant job, keep the fantastic videos coming and thanks for brightening up my day.
Nice work Gary, cars have kept me occupied over lock down & I’ve been painting too, I’ve been painting my storage unit / workshop, much brighter in there now so I can detail better. I haven’t seen my mum since February, it’ll sure be good to see her when it’s safe to do so.
Absolutely brilliant! Looking forward to next video, the paint you did looked better than a small job I did on my BM even with the clearcoat on! Well done, love this!
Been decorating the entire house during LD, thing we are both looking forward too, after seeing friends, not so much family! is a Morrison's prepared salad from the self-service salad bar. Love the content, love Moose.
My wife bought me a lego millenium falcon to build that kept me occupied for a while. I think im looking forward to seeing friends and family after lockdown hopefully for Christmas.
With being a builder doing up other peoples houses, I’ve taken this lockdown to do things around my house... but by the looks of it we will get to form social bubbles over Christmas so we can see family 😁😁😁
Dear Gary, it's such a shame that I don't live in England cause if I did I definitely would visit you. I really love your videos and I have seen most of them. It seems that you love your job and that's clear because every car you touch becomes gold. Hope you are fine, happy to watch your videos. Stay safe. Greetings from Greece! P. S. I always enjoy the music on your videos.
Nice with your attention to detail you have probably done a better job than many bodyshops. Trust me I've seen some ropey jobs in the past that people have paid ££££'s for. Well done👍
TH-cam channels like this, some of my fave DJ’s and producers doing live streams on here or twitch are things that make lockdowns more bearable. But looking forward to pubs reopening and clubs and being able to travel places for nights out. Had plan on visiting Scotland, in fact did last year but ended up in Wales as didn’t have much time for travel . It will happen soon though 🤞
Great video, many thanks for sharing. Reminds me of when I used to spray cellulose on cars in my dads garage at the bottom of the garden back in the 70s. Cold, damp draughty conditions with dust from the roof in the paint and lovely white bloom from the draughts. Having MG’s, it was a constant battle to keep the tin worm at bay. Didn’t use masks in those days, and my signal to get out of the garage when going round a car was that I couldn’t see it any more for the offspray! Cough cough...
TH-cam and Reddit have been amazing, much love for Bad Obsession motorsport (binge watching project Billy helped), car is super clean, 8 platinum trophies gained on PlayStation (compared to 5 gained in about 9 years prior) Hope you get to see your loved ones soon
Looks amazing. Shows just what can be achieved with time and patience. Preparation is the key and you’re doing an awesome job. Looking forward to seeing it built back up and finished. Top video as always...one of the best TH-cam channels out there. 👍👍
We don't really have full lockdowns here in the U.S. I live in Las Vegas and we never locked down to where we couldn't see our family and friends. I feel awful for you guys and girls across the pond. I hope it ends soon. The car is looking great!
We've handled the whole thing really badly here unfortunately to the point where the rules keep getting tighter and tighter. I don't think anyone knows what to do really. As an island we should be looking at new Zealand as an example but instead were following Europe who has a totally different set of problems to us.
@@autoshineblackpool I can understand that. There is so much conflicting information out there it's difficult to know what to believe. And I can't help but to think some governments are using it as an excuse to control populations. But maybe that's just me and my tin foil hat. :) Be well!
@Autoshine Cars The Bimmer looks amazing! Blue color does change cars appereance unlike any other color.Try CarPro Denim pad for removing orange peel. Its made specifically for that. Cheers 🍻
Also hack for the panel filler. Put a layer of the filler on a board or whatever you want to use. Make sure it’s about half a centimetre thick. And put a line of strengthener down the length of it in the center. Perfect ratio
Hi Gary really nice respray good to see a amateur do better job than some actual pro body shops .U took me by surprise I wasn't expecting this kind of video so used to ur valeting and some very dirty beast's to clean so it made nice change .U gonna have the neighbours green with envy those BMW's are quite rare now . Ah, this brings back memories.. I painted my first car in dads garage. Passat LS 1977 with Volvo Machine red. I did my best at covering up, but we would find red paint on stuff for years to come. :D Anyway great content @Autoshine Cars!
Awesome video Gary. We have been really lucky by comparison in Australia with COVID. Really hope that you get to see your family in Scotland in time for Christmas & Hogmanay. I won’t get to fly back to the UK to see my family for who knows how long.
Wow, nice job man !. I remember you asking viewers what colour we think you should paint it and my suggestion was Audi Nogaro blue......, it’s difficult to tell from this video, for definite but it looks like you may have agreed..??. Can’t wait to see this completed and buffed.
Nice to see you again and well done looks great you should be proud of yourself. Excellent work and thanks for the awesome content stay safe and take care
Gary, I work in a bodyshop and the painter there recommend that you can use 3000 grit sand paper and polish to remove orange peel effect. He had demonstrated this to me and I was very surprised with the results.
@@autoshineblackpool not this Friday but next Friday i would like you to valet my car inside as it's become a bit messy again i would like you if possible to film it it's not bad but it would need it as I do everyone else car but no time to get my own done

Electric sanding, up close, no mask, no taping over edges or glass and NO gloves!?!
