They have such a good mix of bass and guitar, they play around each other and work together, rather than the guitar doing the riff and the bass doing the root notes
If not the realmusicfans™ and music "experts" that make all of the lists of the best songs ever and put old ass boring songs in it i wanna be adored would be at the very top of best songs overall I mean its absolutely fabulous
Love Spreads is probably the coolest and most underrated guitar riff of all time. Brilliantly Page-esque. And yes, John Squire should definitely be more appreciated.
Hint: Find a beginner course on slide guitar and I'm not quite sure if it's lesson #1 or #2. You're welcome 🤣😂 Non guitarists are such dumbasses.... _everything_ is amazing and "underrated" 😁
It's amazing to see these classic riffs being played as they are not complicated. Says so much for John Squire's playing getting straight forward riffs to sound so massive. Love it.
I love the recognition you gave Begging You. That is a crazy, awesome track that shows a whole wild side to the dance rock that they always touched on in their discography.
I think this is more, top ten riffs I can play. Where’s shoot you down? Bye bye bad man? Ten story love song? One Love? Standing here? List goes on. You got the tones spot on for most.
Been waiting so long for this.. the intro to This is the One gets me every single time man. Love that the roses are United fans and its played at Old Trafford. Class content as usual mate keep it going 👍
Each and every Stone Roses track is unique and captivating in it's own way (as in, it sticks with you), and that...that, is the beauty of the whole Stone Roses discography!
Nice to see Squire's Stone Roses guitarwork being praised, but I would love to see some of Johnny Marr's riffs (specially because I still have no idea how to play such notes)
i'd love if you made a separate video for the top 10 riffs on the second coming album. JS developed so much in the 5 years between the first and second album. honestly i think their second album imitates/exhibits the mississippi delta blues style - the one keith richards, jimmy paige and co. obsessed over - better than any other rock album in history.
@@andrewmartinez9158 as an album The Stone Roses is very highly rated so I wouldn’t consider any track off it underrated as such, but the fact it doesn’t make this list kind of proves your point.
John Squire IS one of The Best Guitarist's Ever! From the Chilled Debut of Unique n Quality Guitar solos to the Led Zepp inspired Second Coming ie Love Spreads!! He's Just Sooooo Fuckin Good Man!!,
Howdy Bloxsy, good to hear the Roses done properly.3 different guitars no less👍🎸Hard job without the Gretsch but sounded good with your magic box 📦👍👍👋👋
At the end of every riff here I hear Mani’s bass coming in.
same>>
They have such a good mix of bass and guitar, they play around each other and work together, rather than the guitar doing the riff and the bass doing the root notes
Great bass player. Mani n Reni are underrated. Top top rhythm section
Squire's solo at the end of "I am the resurrection" was top class!
Best thing they ever did.
The last 4 minutes of the song is the pinnacle of already amazing album. Everything just comes together in it so nicely
that love spreads riff is absolute ART just perfection
The guitar arrangement on "Bye bye badman" alone should put Squire on the list of greats, regardless of anything else he ever did
I Wanna Be Adored is impossibly good. Everything about it hits the nail on the head.
its where it all began. Utter perfection-

Waterfall is possibly my favorite Stone Roses song. It's so soothing. Great video as always.
She Bangs the Drums has some killer guitar work too
Adrian Woodward does an excellent lesson for it on his channel. You should definitely check it out.
@@indieguy81 i learned to play the song from his video :)
@@jakobgustafsson7898 Me too! He's the best instructor on YT, in my opinion.
What the World Is Waiting for is Severely underated, great tune.
Breaking in to heaven surely over half of the songs on this list
Top 10 Radiohead or the Clash riffs
radiohead immediately
The Clash!!! Yes!
Would kill to see a The Clash one
Both of those would be fantastic. 2 of my favourite bands
+1 for radiohead

Funny, I’ve been on a Stone Roses binge for the past few days and now this drops. Awesome
I’ve been going through a roses phase this week...... John squire is a master.
You’ve made my week.
Cheers
Love from Dublin
I love the Stone Roses so much, every song is so distinctive and full of hooks
Thank you for showcasing one of the most underrated bands in the world, honestly didn't expect this video. Great playing!
Love spreads and waterfall are spot on, can you do the Smiths next?
One of my favorite videos on TH-cam of all time
Love these. Having to fill in Mani's bass parts in my head. As well as Reni's drums on Fool's Gold.
I think this is more, top ten riffs I can play. Where’s shoot you down? Bye bye bad man? Ten story love song? One Love? Standing here? List goes on.
You got the tones spot on for most.
Standing here. Where angels play are two of my favourite pieces by John. The outro on standing here is so good.
Sometimes I forget how good their debut album was and I have to listen to it all over again and it never bores me
The debut album was good, but so was the other one.
This is great, needs more Second Coming riffs though as that album is riff heaven!
Nothing on the Second Coming matches anything on the debut, and I like Second Coming.
@@punkoid76 so True, and I like Second Coming too
Good times what a riff!!
@@punkoid76 agree with you mostly but honestly I reckon tightrope was the best thing they ever did

something pains me to not see I Am The Resurrection here. but something also makes me happy to finally see The Stone Roses get some love.
Great playing our kid! Sally Cinnamon was bang-on!
I always like the videos, I'm a big fan of the channel. But I only remember commenting later. 😊🧡
Love the sound, it's absolutely bang on, and your fingering on Waterfall is perfect - great job!
great selection and very accurate sounds too! but to me, she bangs the drums riff can never be missed.
Second coming is an underrated album
Totally
Absolutely. Tears is top 5 Roses for me, what a tune.
It's a great album. At least 7 tracks on it are top drawer stuff
Yes sir, it stands proud beside their debut
Each and every Stone Roses track is unique and captivating in it's own way (as in, it sticks with you), and that...that, is the beauty of the whole Stone Roses discography!
Nice work, Homes! And you're right, Mr. Squire is under appreciated.
The title of the video is enough to draw a man in and sit watching on repeat.
Bro you nailed his tone!
All For One is an underrated riff and the tone is sublime
I really love your style of playing man, keep it rocking!!
Nice to know there are people out there as fanatical about the roses as me.
Bloxsy, thank you for introducing me to all these great sounding riffs and bands. I subscribed for more of your work. Keep it up :)
Nice to see Squire's Stone Roses guitarwork being praised, but I would love to see some of Johnny Marr's riffs (specially because I still have no idea how to play such notes)
you've outdone yourself with this one! 👏
Thank you!
Good to see All For One getting some love! I must admit when it first got released it didn’t grip me, love it now though
