    The man's innocent childlike humility is so endearing. Keeps screaming STING like he's the biggest fan. So self effacing. And Sting too you can see his joy in performing on the same stage as this legend.

    • @ScottHogue
      @ScottHogue ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I know you posted this two years ago, but it's an interesting thought. Sting is probably underrated at bass playing.
      He does his....Sting thing. I'm no authority, but I feel like I've heard reggae, ska, jazz, and even straight ahead rock. If it is something where Sting is running things, he can strap on that bass, do his "Sting thing" and make the song work to his strengths.
      I've never really felt sorry for Sting until this Stevie groove kicked in and for the first time, no room (at first) for sting thing.
      All I could think as I heard Stevie's bass player was "poor sting, his bass playing is not built for this life.
      He knew and it looked he knew the core of the song, but some six string bass playing monster is just casually killing it off stage

    Two bass lines, joined by Sting running scales, fills and solos. I've heard and seen two drum kits, but three basses? Awesome.

    I'd say Sting definitely remembers his jazz roots. Exemplary generosity, musicianship, and recognition by both Sting and Stevie. Two legends growing each others' stature.

    Isn't it good when you don't have to decide?
    Stevie! Sting! Sting! Stevie! Stevie! Sting.........
    I can love them both for their originality and unique talent.
    Harmony is so much better than competition.
    Only the immature want to choose one form of beauty over another. The mature appreciated both.

    Stereo Williams, I discovered Stevie Wonder in the 60's. Guess that ages me. But he was a talent then, at 12, and is a talent now. From a white kid.

    I can’t explain how much I love hearing these guys play together!! They’re all so gel’d together, everything’s tight and I love how Stanley Randolph (Drummer) holds everything together!! His playing is so tasteful! I don’t know how he does it but his placement and timing is impeccable!!! Not forgetting to mention that Stevie Wonder and Sting on a stage together. Magic!
