      the sounds of rain, train, washing machines, and dryiers all calm me down. Its because those were the only times I was able to rest after being abused in extended times. I used to hide during these times because during these times my abusers were dedicated to something else for some time.

    • @KysEcstacy
      @KysEcstacy หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mangastache you can leave the version of the earth that hurt you, enviorement, and circle are a good start. Then you can start working on your view/attitude on life if thats an issue. Obviously theres way more you can do, but i think its good to seperate internal changes and external changes. External changes can be people around you, where you live (even if its smth as simple as your room) and schedule. They may seem random but they help alot, internal things can be like identifiying triggers and emotions, views on life, biases etc

    Thanks for the validation of the trauma. It happened a few months ago, and although many people told me it was a traumatic event, I kept telling myself it wasn't that bad, and even joking about it. But every time I hear the sound I heard when it happened, I have a panick attack that gets me unable to do anything for a long moment. And although I've been getting better, I still have to get used to the fact that this sound does not equal my trauma being back. So thanks !

    I've been through two main traumatic experiences in my life: narcissist abuses for 5 years (when I was 15, until almost my 20s) and I've managed to heal most of the first one. But a few years later, my (ex-)boyfriend tried to abuse me when I was asleep. I always assumed it wasn't that bad, but, today, I burst in tears because I related to a fictive character who's been abused too. I think it's time to start trying to deal with this one too, now, and trust in others, again. Thank you for your video, it's really helping me understand I can't do everything on my own (all those experiences made me believe I can't trust anyone and must do anything by myself).

    I think I had an actual PTSD induced episode at work a week or two ago. Someone raised their voice at me asking about something not being finished (for context, I work in an airport, so things being missed can be an actual problem). I felt myself be confused, and then go numb while trying to fix whatever it was. Conscious, aware, but unable to feel emotions or speak. I got my bearings back a few minutes later, but this is a genuine concern. Had I dissociated instead, things could have quickly gotten very dangerous as I routinely am out on the ramp, near active aircraft. Glad my mind didn't completely shut off!

    it is truly difficult when trauma starts from womb-state.. being in the body of a woman unable to regulate her own nervous system, logging on to this nervous system while your brain is developing, while your personality develops.. this chronic deep feeling of being unsafe, unloved, unworthy and not mattering started so early on that it infiltrated my normal development, how I relate to others, how I exist in the world.. yes there are definitelly things that can be done, and the brain is plastic throughout our life, but I think unfortunately some things, some parts of what should have been a natural development of a person has become so disrupted that there is not even anything to return to, it has become me. and little by little when I heal it I see that no it was never me, it was trauma response, and then I can begin to figure out who this Me even is, but I spent years just surviving, trying to heal, surviving again... it is hard to have hope of a functioning life after trauma, because there are so many ways I feel out of place and lonely, because someone failed to care for me to help me be me.

    I used to have to go to the vet a lot. These car drives were always overloaded with hope, sadness, fear, uncertainty and what will happen. Around 15 years later, the same thoughts come to mind when I have to use these roads. Later, I specifically undertook more enjoyable events where I had to use the same roads. It's a real fact but sad one that some of our traumas and bad roads in our life is caused by others and are not our fault even by some of our closest people.
      But think clearly and analyze everything and every aspect. Make the best of that choices that you reach. Sometimes we make desicions out of sadness but that choices are not always the best one. Try to solve your burdens and problems one by one and wisely. Don't cut your parents off. That's one of those bad decisions. Try to speak with them gently and with open heart and don't mention directly that you think they are responsible for problems. Just speak with honesty and heart and then try to solve the problem together. If failed just try to solve it lonely but still get along with them gently but don't put too much burden on yourself. Nobody is perfect. Even our parents. I had and have similar issues as well. As I said make the best decision not the easy one.
      Take care.

    “ You live your entire life as something phantasmic, an entity trapped between the dead and the living, a spectator to your own life, trying merely to survive and hide from all the pain and baggage of strife.
    The trauma keeps you like a chime in the wind, only wanting to be still, not remembering anything again. But the wind shakes the chime so abruptly and unwelcomed , taking you back to the hell you came from..
    You long for the day that it will just stop and end, but as long as you are trapped here, the never ending cycles of remembrance, the merry go round of hell brings it all vividly back around again.
    Take each day, pray and stand strong, trying to survive and hope for a new dawn, but those who never lost their inner child, will never comprehend the trauma of CPTSD and their broken minds” ..

    What about if you don't know where your trauma came from or what it was that caused certain things to trigger you in the first place? Cause I do feel this way, it happens to me a lot, but for the life of me I have no idea why

    Can trauma still happen if it was while I was less than a year old? I was born during a civil war before becoming a refugee and coming to America at nine months old. I suffer with multiple mental health issues that doctors are having difficulty treating with different drugs and behavioral therapy. I’m desperate for answers 😢

    I have ADD - the sharp piano sounds are burying the soft spoken narrative. I had to replay it w/ the sound off, reading the transcript - which kinda sucks 😮

    Would you be able to provide Dr Amanda Ann Gregory's email? I tried sending an email through her You Tube channel, but it doesn't seem like the email is active! I am asking for this contact information because in watching this video, I feel that this type of therapy may help me, and I've been searching for a successful treatment for a very long time! Thanks for your help and take care!
