The joys of having paid off equipment is you have to work on it. The joys of having newer equipment is you have a payment, have to pay a tech from a dealership to hook a laptop up to it then it’s a toss of the dice if they can figure it out.
Check Tire Recappers in Nashville. I have good luck running their tires on the back of my trucks. I've got an 88 Volvo semi that I paid $15000 for it and hopper bottom just before wheat harvest.
Man yeah, been waiting on this one!! The ole eagle is home once again!! Boy that starter issue is scary, I did the exact thing on the loader. But it was due to the switch, and thats the reason for that temporary permanent fix 🤦🤦🤣🤣🤣 But it was so hot, I could bot touch it for about 5 hrs....I dont knkw how it didn't burst into flames!! That starter ks is huge😳😳 Oh boy, the AC fan situation 😁😁 Yep again, my service truck is thr exact same way!!! All or nothing on thr fan!! It works great until winter, then my thin blooded buddy tries to fry my eyelids on road trips 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Robert sounds exicted about ole gray being hooked to the water trailer!! That was cool to see the old footage and hear the background!! Did y'all do all thr engine overhaul in house? Looking fwd to those combine videos too!! I know the feeling , Im ready to get back to filed work of some kind myself!! Thank you both for bringing us along, look fwd to seeing what's next!! 😁😁😁🌽🌽🌽🌽🌱🌱🇺🇸🇺🇸🚜🚜👍👍
Yes sir, we did all the overhaul work ourselves with the help of an older mechanic. Cheapest overhaul I have ever done. We only did an in-frame. It was $2000 total to have the heads reworked, 6 new pistons and rings, and I bought a genuine set of Cummins main and rod bearings off of Ebay for $100 bucks. The crankshaft probably should have been polished, but we were on an extremely tight budget back in those days, and we didn't want to pull the engine. Hated that the engine went down, but I sure learned a lot as a young man working on that old truck.
@@DylanJoyceFarms Heck yeah, imagine that was quite the experience at a young age!! That was freaking awesome though!! Thank you very much for the info!! 😁😁👍👍
For real. At least this one is all mechanical and I can do the work myself. My 2007 Sterling is a pre-emissions but it has a ton of electronics that makes it hard to diagnose issues.
I like those older eagles, back in the mid 80’s had a cab over International Transtar 2 with small Cummins…y’all enjoy the wkend and take care🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸
I love these Big Cam Cummins. That is what my Freightliner has, too.
Nice video
That’s a nice looking truck. And best part of it, NO DEF. Can’t wait to see her all painted up.
It will probably be this winter before we can get it painted but hopefully yall can see the old truck a lot on the channel next year
Good looking truck you got there
Man I love that truck. God bless y'all
I about bought that truck.
Eagles soar
That's right!

I saw where people was tagging you in that post. I like the old school trucks.
Or it could be like my sprayer last week. Making a payment and working on it. 🤣
Your battery cable was smoking when you started that eagle. Right after you tightened the cable. 14:53
Good old trucks we have a couple of them

You got an awesome deal if the truck is in good shape.
@@DylanJoyceFarms the trailer needed some metal work done to it but $1500 later it's pretty sound.

Houston this is Kennedy, the eagle has landed lol 😆
You’re gonna need the forklift to put that starter back in!
My motto is I started out with nothing and still have most of it left
Yes Sir. I feel the same way.
@@DylanJoyceFarms or at least I haven’t farted around and lost that
I have a truck just like this one and all it need is a radiator and I can’t find one anywhere
AIR CONDITIONER 😂 OMG just take the doors OFF. Love them old I N Ts be careful with her old GIRL FRIEND !!! Thanks men !
I'll let you come drive it for me since you don't need air conditioning. That will save me a few dollars.
Is the rear axle the drive axle? My dad’s truck does the same thing.
Both axles should pull. The back tires may take the most abuse because they are dragged around as you turn.
The best part is it don’t have that def crap on it

Did you get you some Deon truck problems?
Na, we fix out trucks and keep on running them.
