    --------------------
    SUMMARY:
    --------------------
Choosing between a bad opportunity and a good one is easy. But choosing between two GOOD opportunities can be tough. Next time, consider giving points - from 1 to 10 - to each opportunity based on these factors:
    1. Return on Investment
    2. Future Value
    3. Personal Development
    4. Lifestyle
    5. Emotional Well-being
    6. Relationships/Community
After rating on these categories on a scale of 1 to 10, and then adding them up, you will certainly find an opportunity that ranks higher.

I have a tendency to take on way too many projects at once. Recently I have been prioritizing them and only allow myself to focus on a select few at a time and it has helped me be way more productive! Will definitely start doing this in order to prioritize more effectively. Thanks Brandon!

This video is 6 years old now but it really resonates in a world where opportunities are multiplying every day. Thank you Brendon for all the advice! Each person should set their own criteria for when to say yes or no to every opportunity that comes their way so as not to waste time as life is short. If schools taught us the art of choice and decision making we would save a lot of life time on a human scale!

Brendon! You're magic. No, seriously, you always turn my mood from negative to positive. And I'm a really distracted person. Like borderline ADHD I think. You're advice about "raising expectations" grounds me and brings me back to reality. It helps me to get things done. Thank you for all you do!

I wish I'd learned this years ago. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
    1. ROI (Return on Investment)
    2. Future value (also consider emotional value, and putting me in the right network of people later)
    3. PD (Personal Development) Greater amount of competency and confidence (or is opportunity too easy or too challenging)
    4. Lifestyle (70 hours a week, wrecks your marriage = no). No slogging through misery.
    5. EW (Emotional Well-being) Don't compromise on values or integrity. Too much stress, puts me in a horrible space.
Score each opportunity 1-10 then compare. Be careful not to fool myself just because you like one more than the other.
Final test: How does each choice impact your community (family, friends, neighbors, environment).

Thank you, Brendon. I'm just starting out and I've gotten very discouraged (for not feeling lucky and grateful enough) after taking opportunities that are good or even amazing for some of the categories, but which in the end have shattered my emotional well being to the point where I've stopped. One always hear people talking about "giving up comfort" (which we all should, of course), but it is nice to hear you narrow down what can go wrong; when missinterpreting that general advice when taking opportunities. This was a very helpful way to evalute what can turn into numbing noise and distracions otherwise. So thanks for the tools to go back out there and try again. :)
(Sorry for spelling errors, btw. I'm not a native English speaker.)

Freaking love you, Brendon. Get so excited and motivated when I'm done watching your videos. Lots of lightbulbs going off this time around. Would be awesome if you could do a video on personal development becoming a burden or backfireing. Like, too much striving (i.e. goals / success / reading / learning) and not enough existing or accepting (i.e. being in moment / content / happiness) and how to balence the two. Much love dude! -Clark

Loved it! Thank you for this. I've recently had to make a change in my second job and have made the decision to hire a career coach to help me figure out how to attract a position that matches my experience and my purpose. I was feeling a bit guilty about it bc I know I can do well at both jobs but this video reassured my decision of asking if I have a future with my second job. Thanks again! So so much! Keep em coming

Thank you Brendon for these five steps. This method has work great for me for a long time. However, when I applied it choosing between cashflow against appreciation in real estate investing, the one I did not choose have a lot of support in my area. I mean I know hundreds of REIA members practicing it while the one that I choose have only one person that I know practicing it and is in another state. So, what would I do now?

I have really enjoyed watching/listening to your videos the past year. I really like taking your advice and applying it to my life. I have a small request if you could cover, how to tell your loved ones that they are hanging out with the wrong people. I'm guessing you don't want to be too strong but what if you already have expressed your concerns about these 'friends' how do you calmly advise them again, 'hey love, maybe I don't think it is a good idea to hang around these people' . Or do you sit back patiently and let them hopefully figure it out? Just wanted to see what your opinion was on this topic. Thanks again for this fabulous TH-cam channel. It really got me through a tough time last year. Anything is much appreciated. #chargedlife

Hi there Brendon, during this video you refer to equal of life as an important factor. Can you go deeper on how to see the difference between the challenges of personal growth, which can be very trying vs the pain of committing to something that is just not worthwhile. Is there a way to look at a situation and really know which one you are setting your self up for? Perhaps you can treat us to a video on this? :-D Much appreciated.
