If BCS came before BB it'd surely have plummeted BB's appeal and popularity also everyone would've been saying that the show picks up in 4th and then 7th season. Assuming the show is eleven seasons long and has the same name.
They get nominated every year for best drama. The actors who play Jimmy, Mike and Chuck have all got nominations though they rutinely lose to Game of Thrones.
In breaking bad whenever Jesse and Walt take saul into the desert, sauls first words are “did lalo send you” and lalo wasn’t even a character in breaking bad, amazing
Junior senior maybe, but in Breaking Bad when Gus confronts Hector after killing Don Eladio, Joaquin, Etc. He says “now the Salamanca name dies with you.” Which leads me to assume Lalo’s dead. Not sure Gus would let a loose end like that just go. Edit: spelling error.
Honestly I hated Howard in the firs season.then you see that the real shitty person was jimmy’s brother, Chuck. Then my initial idea of Howard changed. Now I feel kinda bad for him. I don’t think he deserves all the bad things that are happening to him. He might be a little bit selfish but I think he actually cares about people (like Jimmy) but jimmy twist his words making him sound selfish and a bad person
Happy you’re bringing attention to the show, a lot of people dropped it but it’s a good slow burn, better to watch now on a binge. It arguably has more compelling characters than BB
@The Wraith The thing about slow burns is they take a lot of patience but that patience pays off in big ways. I was not very impressed with the first two seasons apart from a few amazing moments such as the episode explaining Mike's backstory, but at this point of its run pretty much every scene of every episode is a hit instead of a miss.
@@royalkuhnt8216 I don't understand how Better call Saul is a 'slow burn'? It hooked me from the start. I feel like it surpassed Breaking Bad. People who understand they're different shows will appreciate Better call Saul more.
@@grubbybum3614 Its a slow pace. I mean, sure it started off with the Tuco zinger to be a blast, but that felt more like a cheap nostalgia kick than anything else theyve done since with the show. Doesnt mean they cant hook you from the start.
Kim, Lalo and Nacho are such amazing characters on top of seeing the transition of Jimmy into Saul. And of course Gus and Mike 👌🏽 Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan are literal geniuses. I can’t wait to see what they do after this show.
This Account has been deleted I think that’s because we all knew where it was headed from the beginning but they have made Jimmy a fully realized character that we don’t want to see the tragedy. Whereas Walter White was a guy who we knew wanted to be the bad guy all along
standupguy12 totally I just found him way more interesting when he got out of his house, in hindsight it was great character development but at the time I was like can we get to something more interesting haha
Fun fact: Lalo and Ignacio were mentioned in Breaking Bad in a single line that Jimmy says. Vince Gilligan created and entire storyline off of an offhand mention that was supposed to be comical. I love it. EDIT: Peter Gould, not Vince. Credit where credit is due.

Star LORD random question and no spoilers please: I’m about 9 episodes into the first season of the sopranos and i wouldn’t say it’s disappointing, but I was expecting more. Does it get better?
@@starlord6433 I havent seen them two before but from what people have told me there overhyped, if I were to watch either one of them what would draw me in?
This show has more memorable characters than Breaking Bad, even if they’re tiny little characters. Jimmy/Saul/Gene, Kim, Mike and his family, Howard Hamlin, Chuck, Nacho, Nacho’s dad, Tuco, Hector, the Twins, Gus, Lalo, Marco, Werner Ziegler, Huell Babineux, the Kettlemans, the lawyer who always eats junk food, the student film crew, the old folks at Sandpiper, the cowboy guy who wanted to secede from the US, the guy with the creepy toilet for kids. Dang Another thing that helps is that Jimmy and Kim are much more likable and respectable people than Walt and Skylar. The point of both shows is that Walt and Jimmy’s morality declines over time, but that it’s always been inside of them. Chemist Walt who created Gray Matter -> School Teacher Walt with no pride who’s been bossed around his whole life -> Prideful Walt / Heisenberg Slippin’ Jimmy -> James McGill -> Saul In Better Call Saul, even when Jimmy is doing something shitty, it’s usually to people who have treated him badly in the past, and even then, the new season has shown he feels really bad about it. He also feels really bad when he has to defend someone who he knows is guilty, which is more than you can say about most characters in the BB universe. He also pulls schemes just to help people sometimes (the entire Sandpiper thing). He damaged his reputation just to make sure the old people were friends with each other again. But at the same time, Jimmy knows Chuck is right about him, he’s just a conman and a scoundrel and has a hard time trying to become anything else. And Kim, although she’s super skeptical of the whole thing, she has a sense of justice that transcends written law and she has really come to support Jimmy anyway. For Walt, by Season 4&5 of BB, he was a horrible person and basically the villain of the show, and even had very few qualms with Todd shooting a kid. Walt also killed Mike just because he insulted him, and in the end left Mike’s granddaughter with none of Mike’s money. And before all that, Skyler cheated on Walt and rubbed it in his face, which does nothing but make the situation 10x worse. Jimmy’s idea is to swallow his emotions to do bad shit, and then he’ll feel bad about it later. Walt doesn’t feel bad for anyone, he will do anything, such as poison a child, to support the battle against his competition, and then justify it with “it’s for my family!” He does crazy things out of spite, act out, etc. and does not expect any consequences, and does not usually feel bad about it at all until it affects him directly.
The second to last episode of this season was one of the best breaking bad universe moments ever. I nearly shat myself. The last three episodes as a whole were all amazing.
Imagine going into Better Call Saul, and someone tells you the best characters in the entire show are the ones that weren't in Breaking Bad. Kim, Nacho and Lalo especially. No other show can introduce a character this late in the game and have them completely steal the show.
I love that poster in the thumbnail. Perfectly encapsulates the character of Jimmy, and the happy and jovial mask of Saul he wears to hide his true emotions.
It took me a while to watch the first 2 seasons, I wasn't hooked but Season 3 got me locked in and if Breaking Bad's a 10/10, Better Call Saul's a 9.8. I felt like this past season especially, compares to any Breaking Bad season, except maybe season 5. And Lalo might just be the best villain in the Breaking Bad Universe.
Nacho's whole arc, specially the whole subplot with his dad is some of the most compelling and heartbreaking storytelling in this ABQ universe, and its not even over yet
I kind of disagree with Jeremy's take on the Kim/Jimmy relationship. For one thing, I feel like Kim's darkness has always been there hiding beneath the surface, but it was wrapped in pragmatism and channeled in a way that more people would accept, versus Jimmy who channels his darkness into the Saul persona. Part of what I love about their relationship is that Kim never feels like she's written to be an obstacle for Jimmy to overcome (a la Skylar from Breaking Bad), even when she disagrees with him or tries to stop him. She always makes an effort to see things from his point of view while refusing to compromise on things that are important to her, but that leads her to realize that she has more in common with him than she realizes.
agree, her agency is patent all the time. i think if Jimmy wasn't in her life, she wouldn't be living her "best life", helping the poor like Jeremy implied. I think she'd be repressed in a job she doesn't totally love, but is more or less stuck. Jimmy helped her get out of that, but also took that balance awsy from her
i appreciate your way more concise breakdown of the same thing i was trying to say but using a lot more words. it’s technically abt his views on Kim in this video but i posted it on the series review video instead. i almost want to paste it here to see your thoughts ha ha
I-Deni-I honestly better call saul has that feel for me too ..better call saul has such a dark sense of dread to it but sometimes you forget about it bc what’s going on is so fun
I prefer BCS too, as great as BB is rewatching it feels like a chore because I ended up hating most of the main characters. They're great and perfectly portrayed, but I hate them.
I needed this more than you believe. It's sincerely one of the best shows ever made and I have no one to talk about it with. So this... This... Was perfect. Thank you.
Tony Dalton? I remember him from my childhood in mexico, he had show that was just a cheap knockoff of "Jackass". Im glad to see how far he came since that.
He did Rebelde as well, which was a huge surprise for me cause by the time I was watching his character on BCS I was constantly trying to figure out why he was so familiar, then my sister said he was in Rebelde hahahahaha great actor!
I remember with the first season quickly involving Tuco then some weird plot device over Howard McGill’s sensitivity to electromagnetism, I thought I would not like the show. By the Mike Ehrmentraut backstory episode I was hooked. By the brother reveal, I applauded the genius of Gould and Gilligan. By the time Gus arrived I felt I was watching episodes of Breaking Bad that I had never seen before. And finally Kim Wexler....what a character. She is the true star of the show and it’s so tragic watching her fall from Grace and dare I say....watching her break bad. Can’t wait for the final season.
I think Kim is going leave Jimmy and go back to Nebraska where she is from.(Nebraska plates on her moms car when she was a kid) Jimmy at the end of breaking bad goes to Omaha Nebraska to work at Cinnabun. And at the end of series he will see Kim walking through the mall and they can be together again.
Do agree with the latter but I think Jimmy will be the one that pushes Kim out of his life as you could see the regret on him cause Kim was becoming like him and he doesn't want that cause that's not who she is
Well the show is about to wrap up, hopefully you will do a review on the whole series like you did breaking bad. I believe the show is as good as breaking bad if not sometimes better. Anyway looking forward to you doing a review
Totally agree - talked some 'Breaking Bad' fans into sticking through seasons 1 & 2 to get to the 'good stuff' (though I've loved this series from the start.) Great review, Jeremy!
“Did you ever hear of the tragedy of Darth Wexler the Wise?” She had such a knowledge of the Dark side that she could even keep the ones she cared about from dying.
A lesser prequel losses it’s tension because you already know the fate of the main characters. But BCS is so tense, and I’m always at the edge of my seat worried for Kim and Nacho and even for Saul and Mike at some points
Joseph Curreri BCS is great exactly because you don’t know the fates for: KIM LALO NACHO or HOWARD You can only assume they all die since they’re not in BB until proven otherwise
Prequels are weird lol. Jimmy/Saul in his Breaking Bad appearance, Don Eladio, Mike, and Hank look so much younger and less wrinkly despite this show taking place before Breaking Bad x)
What's crazy is that, as Jeremy says, the first two seasons are a bit slow, it takes a bit to hook you. Those are the seasons where Vince Gilligan had big input, then he wasn't involved as much in S3, where the show picks up, and he wasn't involved (almost) at all in S4 and S5, and those are the better seasons of the show. Credit where credit is due, Peter Gould is BCS showrunner and I feel most people ignore that to continue worshipping Vince.
Chuck was definitely underrated. Even though we root for Jimmy, Chuck was always that moral compass that reminded us of who Jimmy really is. He definitely wasn't perfect and had his own flaws, but he still had a strong will in believing what's right and wrong that should be respected.
Chuck is such an excellently done character. In the first 3 season we saw him as the antagonist that always tried to hold Jimmy down. Now in the last 3 seasons, we see him instead as a moral pillar to see how terrible of a person Jimmy has become in comparison.
Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad. Here, I said it. Characters are more compelling, the motivation is more, I don't know, well developed. Breaking Bad after season three felt like "we're doing shit cause we're already in it". BCS on the other hand feels like a real start for that shit, and BB is just a continuation. Great fucking series, guys, you should def watch it.
Pondo Pondo what i like about better call saul is that it’s full of interesting characters that follow 3 different storylines and the characters make reasonable choices that make sense ..i love Breaking Bad too but Bcs feels a little more nuanced
That scene when the SUV pulls up at the Chihuahua compound and the guard is all serious and walks up to car ready to shoot a fool....then the tinted window rolls down and we see Lalo’s million dollar smile and the guard bursts with laughter. Guys, I let out an UGLY laugh that time! Lalo is the BEST thing that happened to BCS since Kim, and I’m super glad he’s going into the final season. The Saul/Kim/Lalo showdown back at Saul and Kim’s apartment was frigging intense!
Man quarantine has done wonders for Jeremy's content. I feel like his output has doubled and we've gotten some really interesting discussions out of him. You should consider keeping some more of these non-movie reviews as part of your repertoire once this is all over.
I'm gonna say it, I think Better Call Saul is a better character study and even in parts a better visual spectacle than Breaking Bad, I think by the end of the last series I will have cemented this opinion, unless it has a very disappointing end. Michael Mando is amazing, Rhea Seehorn is so nuanced and great, Bob Odenkirk brings Jimmy/Saul/Gene to life even more, and Jonathan Babks and the way they reveal his backstory are just hit out of the park, loved sering more Gus too, but the absolute best acting in this show was Michael McKean, his performance depicting that brotherly relationship really helps you understand why Jimmy becomes Saul, (SpOILeRs) you're simultaneously so sad and relieved when he kills himself, I only hope to write a characte that well one day. This show is the best drama on TV right now, hands down.
I always tell people that it's the perfect spinoff shown it stands completely on it's own without breaking bad. I certainly think that having watched BB enhances the experience, but it's not needed.
Finally talked about my favorite show, I've rewatched it completely every time a new season comes out. Doesn't get old. It took my favorite characters from breaking bad and fleshed out a whole show. Love it
I love the show, but it's in no way underrated. I rarely hear anyone say anything bad about it, except for the occasional complaint that it has a slow pace.
You should have mentioned how phenomenal the cinematography and montages are in Better Call Saul. It's amazing how great everything is in this show. The acting and cinematography especially.
I think Howard deserves a shout out for being an excellent character also. I thought he was done after season 4, and yet they surprised me again and brought him back in an interesting way.
Kim wouldn't have done pro bono without Jimmy being there. She would have been stuck being a corporate crony. Jimmy being Jimmy got her thinking outside her shell. Everyone sorta wishes they could be like him. Excellent character.
Agreed on everything. Rhea Seahorn is so.. genuine and subtle in every scene! and omg Tony Dalton! that jump down the ravine made me jump out of my seat! bravo to the stuntman and director for that shot.
The sheer gravity of Dalton's charisma is staggering, like despite him fucking murdering random civilian people he's being so likable you can't help but root for him in the finale and man does he deliver.
Every actor on the show is fantastic, but I feel like Michael Mando doesn’t get enough credit for how great he is
Another Michael (McKean who played Chuck) deserved a god damn award for his riveting performance.
Trust me, anyone who played farcry 3 knows who he is

3.) Mike
4.) Gus
5.) Saul
A shame this show gets no attention at the Emmys. Definitely the best show on TV right now. I personally would put it ahead of breaking bad.
Hard to say, because they are kind of different shows, BCS is more of dark comedy than breaking bad.
@@augustusreagle true
If BCS came before BB it'd surely have plummeted BB's appeal and popularity also everyone would've been saying that the show picks up in 4th and then 7th season. Assuming the show is eleven seasons long and has the same name.
They get nominated every year for best drama. The actors who play Jimmy, Mike and Chuck have all got nominations though they rutinely lose to Game of Thrones.
With Game of Thrones off the air and BCS winding down, think it'll get some love now
In breaking bad whenever Jesse and Walt take saul into the desert, sauls first words are “did lalo send you” and lalo wasn’t even a character in breaking bad, amazing
He also mentions Ignacio which is amazing
So Lalo is still alive in BB
Little Spoiler I guess
Junior senior not necessarily Saul might just not know what happened to him but still fears he’ll come back
I mean Nacho is in Mexico as of right now, way out of Sauls jurisdiction. Whatever happens to him there Saul probably wouldn’t know about.
I love Lalo and all but nobody seems to care about Howard :(
Yup. Howard was my favourite character. He just want to offer people jobs. :(
Javier Escuella 😂
I do but after s5 finale I fear for him
Fuck Howard lol honestly I don't even know why he has screen time. He's irrelevant now, ever since chuck died so did his character haha
Yeah it doesn't have characters like Walter jr or Marie instead we have characters like Kim or Chuck. lol
What exactly about the first few seasons was different? I disagree with Jeremy on that. It's had the same quality throughout the seasons.
@@grubbybum3614 Its a slow pace. I mean, sure it started off with the Tuco zinger to be a blast, but that felt more like a cheap nostalgia kick than anything else theyve done since with the show. It felt weird and awkward to me, personally. They are definitely very different shows, but when you take into consideration the vast majority of television show pacing, BCS and BrBa are both slow burners. Doesnt mean they cant hook you from the start.
Kim, Lalo and Nacho are such amazing characters on top of seeing the transition of Jimmy into Saul. And of course Gus and Mike 👌🏽
Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan are literal geniuses.
Lalo 🔥
Chuck was also an incredibly compelling character and foil that really fueled the first 3 seasons.
standupguy12 totally I just found him way more interesting when he got out of his house, in hindsight it was great character development but at the time I was like can we get to something more interesting haha
They'll probably do another prequel about Lalo. Jk, but that would be awesome
Never clicked on a video so fast. It's been the best show on television for several years now.
You clearly never watched Mr. Robot, but yes BCS has been amazing
@@superlad101 Sorry dude but as much as I like Mr Robot, BCS and BB are just in a different league
@@superlad101 Mr robot is a great show but the writing of BCS is superior
Superlad Mr. Robot was fantastic, but BCS is in a different tier all together.
BB and BCS are the best shows ever made no doubt about it
I feel like Howard is also a very under appreciated character on Better Call Saul, his relationship with Jimmy has always been very interesting.
You could say that again
Nacho Varga is probably the greatest character ever that was spawned from one throwaway line in another show
Lalo was too
Nah, ever since far cry 3 the community loves him. It finally came full circle and Giancarlo Esposito is in far cry 6 lol
Ahh Michael Mando... just waiting for Nacho to ask someone if they’re familiar with the definition of insanity.
Ben Wasserman brilliant comment
Yeah he's gonna call vaccum cleaner next season and go to a island and change's his name to vaas
and then him burning some weed to skrillex with a flamethrower would be a definition of perfection....
@Unknown What's better is that the phrase that keeps getting repeated in BCS: "Soy Amigo del cartel" is exactly what he says in that scene.
tricksterhuaun Sounds like what George Lucas did with Attack of the Clones.
Deckard what did he do in attack of the clones? which line was said ?
so he made star wars 4-6 without knowing what clone wars were and the origins ? 🤔
@@axelluna5438 clone wars was mentioned in the first Star Wars movie. Until the movie Attack of the Clones (and the following two tv series) no one really knew what had happened in said clone wars.

@@llamalover9834 yes bro season 1 is the worst of the six , Still great season
"you can't just hang out with Gus Fring, you've gotta make an appointment" 😂😂😂
thats so true haha
Dang
Another thing that helps is that Jimmy and Kim are much more likable and respectable people than Walt and Skylar. The point of both shows is that Walt and Jimmy’s morality declines over time, but that it’s always been inside of them.
Chemist Walt who created Gray Matter -> School Teacher Walt with no pride who’s been bossed around his whole life -> Prideful Walt / Heisenberg
Slippin’ Jimmy -> James McGill -> Saul
In Better Call Saul, even when Jimmy is doing something shitty, it’s usually to people who have treated him badly in the past, and even then, the new season has shown he feels really bad about it.
I thought I was the only person thinking that way
Do not forget Daniel Wormald!!
Kim is the definition of a ride-or-die.
Well said
ZacTheFirst how dare you forget Ernie
The second to last episode of this season was one of the best breaking bad universe moments ever. I nearly shat myself. The last three episodes as a whole were all amazing.
I agree this season has been the best season of TV ever made in my opinion
Agreed. And there is also the amazing video Jimmy showed at episode 6 to the Mesa Verde bank. The greatest video ever.
Ohh stfu. Breaking bad is better still bcs is perfection
@@slitherking621 yeah breaking bad has more WOW moments but the writing in bcs is superior and so is the cinematography
No the show is slow The writing is better in breaking bad
Imagine going into Better Call Saul, and someone tells you the best characters in the entire show are the ones that weren't in Breaking Bad. Kim, Nacho and Lalo especially. No other show can introduce a character this late in the game and have them completely steal the show.
Don’t forget about Chuck! He was hated by the viewers but was an expertly written character
I love that poster in the thumbnail. Perfectly encapsulates the character of Jimmy, and the happy and jovial mask of Saul he wears to hide his true emotions.
That was the official poster for season 4. The season 5 one is good too!
It took me a while to watch the first 2 seasons, I wasn't hooked but Season 3 got me locked in and if Breaking Bad's a 10/10, Better Call Saul's a 9.8. I felt like this past season especially, compares to any Breaking Bad season, except maybe season 5. And Lalo might just be the best villain in the Breaking Bad Universe.
no it's still gustavo
Mehedi Shuvo nawp Lalo now
Yeah I’ll give it 8.0
If the last season is even better, then I'll give it a 10, it's VERY close to BB for me rn
Lalo made me happy I stuck with the show. Tony is on another level.
I feel like this show is severely underrated
It’s underrated because the plot is a slow build and the Time between seasons. Once it’s all done it will be as good or better than BB
O G it’s already as good as BB. Yeah it’s kinda slow but it’s all done to build character.
Mr.Robot is severely underrated
@@210SAi already better than BB, has been since maybe season 4
Lalo is more terrifying than the Night King.
I’m enjoying this more than Breaking Bad actually
Me too. I love breaking bad, but it gets too depressing the nearer you are to the end. Not that that is bad. But you probably get my point. :)
I-Deni-I because it was a real interpretation of that life. It’s not all scarface
I-Deni-I honestly better call saul has that feel for me too ..better call saul has such a dark sense of dread to it but sometimes you forget about it bc what’s going on is so fun
I don't think better call Saul even close to what Breaking Bad ratings were
I prefer BCS too, as great as BB is rewatching it feels like a chore because I ended up hating most of the main characters. They're great and perfectly portrayed, but I hate them.
I needed this more than you believe.
It's sincerely one of the best shows ever made and I have no one to talk about it with. So this... This... Was perfect. Thank you.
I love BCS so much, the final season will be one of the best things ever
This show does have a slower pace than Breaking Bad but it's just as brilliant, season 5 is proof of it
Tony Dalton? I remember him from my childhood in mexico, he had show that was just a cheap knockoff of "Jackass". Im glad to see how far he came since that.
He did Rebelde as well, which was a huge surprise for me cause by the time I was watching his character on BCS I was constantly trying to figure out why he was so familiar, then my sister said he was in Rebelde hahahahaha great actor!
I never thought a Breaking Bad villain could ever compete with Gus Fring as my favorite, but in these last few episodes Lalo has come very close
Jeremy
I really hope you review season 6 when it wraps up
OR
You know…each episode!
Jeremy, I hope you loved the finale as much as I did. I would love to hear your thoughts, if you have the time to make a video! Love your content!
Howard Mcgill?
Chuck/charles
I think Kim is going leave Jimmy and go back to Nebraska where she is from.(Nebraska plates on her moms car when she was a kid)
Jimmy at the end of breaking bad goes to Omaha Nebraska to work at Cinnabun.
And at the end of series he will see Kim walking through the mall and they can be together again.
this would be a somehow nice ending ...
@@gaidohugo5337 the Jimmy and Kim relationship is toxic
saul gona get its old laser job back that’s the end
Do agree with the latter but I think Jimmy will be the one that pushes Kim out of his life as you could see the regret on him cause Kim was becoming like him and he doesn't want that cause that's not who she is
JEREMY YOU NEED TO DO A REVIEW ON BETTER CALL SAUL SEASON 6!!!!!!!!
Gus was my favorite character in Breaking Bad...and I am now rooting for Lalo.
Really happy to see you do a video on this show!
Could see Tony Dalton as Kraven the Hunter easily. Be awkward having him with Scorpion though.
He makes me think of Jack Nicholson from The Shining mixed with some Mexican version of the Joker.
Kraven: eyy
Scorpion: eyy lmao ...
Well the show is about to wrap up, hopefully you will do a review on the whole series like you did breaking bad. I believe the show is as good as breaking bad if not sometimes better. Anyway looking forward to you doing a review
Now waiting for the finished review
Tony Dalton was epic this season. He’s both compelling and extremely frightening.
Totally agree - talked some 'Breaking Bad' fans into sticking through seasons 1 & 2 to get to the 'good stuff' (though I've loved this series from the start.) Great review, Jeremy!
Same for me. Still talking some into watching it.
I really hope you plan on giving your final take on the show
I loved Lalo in season 5.
He is a standout in a show full of standouts
Morpheus Literally couldn’t have said it better myself.
Tell me the story again....
gregorio massa He had to drink his own pee!
Please review the final season of the show. It ends on an incredible note
“Did you ever hear of the tragedy of Darth Wexler the Wise?” She had such a knowledge of the Dark side that she could even keep the ones she cared about from dying.
I can’t believe we are gonna have to wait 2 years for the last season. We have to wait so long to see what ends up happening with Lalo and Gus.
Expect delays for everything. COVID-19 will cause nothing to be produced for the coming year.
Essentially we already know what happens to em in the end,but yeah, I need to know if Lalo finds out that Ignacio betrayed him
Amptron Twenty-five when he looked at the glasses, i think he knew...
Gives them longer to perfect the ending. I’m all for it.
Hmmm what could happen to Gus,I wonder?Guess he gets to live a great life
A lesser prequel losses it’s tension because you already know the fate of the main characters. But BCS is so tense, and I’m always at the edge of my seat worried for Kim and Nacho and even for Saul and Mike at some points
Joseph Curreri BCS is great exactly because you don’t know the fates for:
KIM LALO NACHO or HOWARD
You can only assume they all die since they’re not in BB until proven otherwise
Jeremy's hair is evolving quick. It's like its own storyline of the channel.
Chris I have a very similar one, very very similar actually, made of argentinian leather
Prequels are weird lol. Jimmy/Saul in his Breaking Bad appearance, Don Eladio, Mike, and Hank look so much younger and less wrinkly despite this show taking place before Breaking Bad x)
Popping in here to say I hope
He does a review on the finale
What's crazy is that, as Jeremy says, the first two seasons are a bit slow, it takes a bit to hook you. Those are the seasons where Vince Gilligan had big input, then he wasn't involved as much in S3, where the show picks up, and he wasn't involved (almost) at all in S4 and S5, and those are the better seasons of the show. Credit where credit is due, Peter Gould is BCS showrunner and I feel most people ignore that to continue worshipping Vince.
When Jeremy said he liked villains in his Final Fantasy review I knew he would like Lalo
Boyfriend: I wanted to know what he thought of Chuck.
Me: Yeah, I think he was so enamored with spicy hot Latino men he forgot about poor, sad Chuck.
Chuck is a great character but tbf I don't think he is in Season 4 or 5 so might not be as fresh in JJ's mind.
Chuck was definitely underrated. Even though we root for Jimmy, Chuck was always that moral compass that reminded us of who Jimmy really is. He definitely wasn't perfect and had his own flaws, but he still had a strong will in believing what's right and wrong that should be respected.
Howard was right " you know who really knew Jimmy. Chuck" those words rang so true to Kim was like a shot gun blast to her face. Bang!
Chuck was alive and now he's dead end of story. The University of American Samoa, go landcrabs!
Chuck is such an excellently done character. In the first 3 season we saw him as the antagonist that always tried to hold Jimmy down. Now in the last 3 seasons, we see him instead as a moral pillar to see how terrible of a person Jimmy has become in comparison.
Whats my opinion about Better Call Saul?
s’all good man
I would say it is..... acceptable.
Better Call Saul is solid. The show is solid.
Manav Sridharan way above acceptable man, may be on the way to dethrone breaking bad depending on how this final season comes into shape.

That restaurant analogy is actually brilliant!
I've been waiting years for this video.
Better show overall? The verdict is still out. I will say however that BCS season 5 is better than any single season of BB.
@ u r true
Pondo Pondo what i like about better call saul is that it’s full of interesting characters that follow 3 different storylines and the characters make reasonable choices that make sense ..i love Breaking Bad too but Bcs feels a little more nuanced
Rhea Seehorn (aka Kim) is sooo good she deserves more credit.
This is the best summary of what BCS is. Great overview. It's my favorite show on TV today.
YES! THIS SHOW IS AMAZING! Ranking the seasons:
1. Season 5

Actors, storytelling, character arcs, character motivation, good well shot action, tense scenes. This show has everything.
And even great comedy, like the squat cobbler episode.
Kim looks so innocent in her pajamas like she is at a sleepover. Just makes it more terrifying when you realize who she really is.
Waiting for entire series review :)
Just finished the series so far and
Bagman is legit one of the best things to ever exist.
I always tell people that it's the perfect spinoff shown it stands completely on it's own without breaking bad. I certainly think that having watched BB enhances the experience, but it's not needed.
Wow this might be the best review you've ever done. I love ur analogies
Finally talked about my favorite show, I've rewatched it completely every time a new season comes out. Doesn't get old. It took my favorite characters from breaking bad and fleshed out a whole show. Love it

You should totally review season 6 episode by episode!
BCS has so many great characters, Kim, Nacho, Mike, Jimmy/Saul & Lalo all are great
I love the fact that Howard was in Spinal Tap before becoming a lawyer.
I love the cinematography in this show.

MOST UNDERRATED SHOW ON TV THX JEREMY (also plz dont die Kim)
I love the show, but it's in no way underrated. I rarely hear anyone say anything bad about it, except for the occasional complaint that it has a slow pace.
I want to hear your thoughts on season 6 so far
Dude...you need to review the first half of season 6. It's incredible!
As with all quality shows, BCS reveals it's genius on repeated viewings. Absolutely my favorite drama on tv period. It's the perfect companion to BB.
