After watching several of your videos, I decided to subscribe it. And I really want to thank you for making these videos of your adventure. I just came back from the Zion National Park at the end of March this year, and of course I didn't have the courage to do the Angel's landing. But your videos presented the most complete and yet good amount of time for watching. I also enjoy watching your canyoneering series and was amazed by this type of activity to appreciate canyons that I didn't know before. Thank you again and keep good videos coming!

Hey Anne! Thank you so much for all of your kind words! Zion is one of our favorite places and Angels Landing is one of our favorite all-time hikes! What hikes did you do while you were at the park?
Canyoneering is both intense and amazing. It seriously takes you to places that are absolutely surreal. We cant wait to see where else it will take us. We are heading back to Zion in June to do another canyon there so stay tuned for that! :). Thank you for subscribing and we cant wait to show you more wild adventures! :)

I did this years ago( about 55years ago) with my father and sisters. I am now 70 .It was way before the trail improvements but I don’t recall it being that difficult. Now I shutter just looking at this video! I have developed a fear of heights over the years. Don’t know why. I recall the chains but not as many. I am glad I had this experience when I was young.

Hey June! I am glad that you got to experience it! It sounds like it might have even been a little more thrilling when you did it! It is kind of funny how as you get older you start to understand the gravity of the situation (pun intended) .Have a great day!

Surprisingly, the only section of the hike that struck me as "dangerous" when I did it was on your video from 4:28 to 4:30. When I was on that slanted section a young women ahead of me started sliding down the stone. She freaked (naturally), since you're dead if you slide over that edge. I caught her by her napsack and a couple tour guides helped get her back up. Needless to say, that was the end of the hike for her. That's the only section where the park really needs to install extra chains. Everywhere else, including the knife edge paths are well-chained. So as long as you hold on to the chain you're OK.

Wow! Ive never thought about that part as being the sketchy part, but after your experience I can definitely see that! Glad you were there to save her. We had to save. acouple going up the final climb once. it was pretty wild.

Thank you! It is a totally different experience. If you go in the snow it is incredibly beautiful but way more sketchy!

On the way back, I felt like a mountain goat….definitely wear the right shoes…
Thank you for sharing this video… it is well worth it and you really narrated it like it is except that of the depths that the camera will not show…

I (Dan, Teresa's husband) climbed this a bit over 3 years ago just before my 67th birthday.. I did it in mid-late November, which was perfect. The switchbacks were, I think, a good workout, but not especially hard. If there is no snow, the technical section (with the chains) just required good communications. It is very dangerous to pass someone going up/down, but I was always able to find spots to stop and let someone go the other way. It looks very dangerous, but it's not sketchy, IMHO. If one isn't stupid and climbs when the park isn't that busy (e.g November) and before the ice and snow, all one has to do is be a decent hiker and play it safe. Katahdin (which I did the same year) had more real risks.

Hey Dan! Glad you got to get up there and check it out! Yea, passing on the chain section is pretty sketchy. That is why they started the permit system. It kinda sucks that you can't do it whenever you want, but we totally understand. We have never heard of Katahdin, Where is that? We are always looking for our next challenge! :)

Lol you lost me when the chains came into picture! Nope from me, way too scared of heights and slipping 😅

No shame in that. The chains are a deal breaker for lots of people. 🤣
