you don't know the pain that comes with escorting a pearl. at least you can use the cell to fly around, and it's huge so losing it in a crowded room isn't much of an issue -- if you drop that pearl ANYWHERE with water, you are FUCKED. don't even get me started on those idiotic scavengers
just feels demoralizing to start the game out learning that you can dual wield, only for the second part of the story to fully incapacitate you and force you to always remember which hand you're holding anything with

When a lizard is stabbed they often start to run so most lizards are free kills. Everything else can be stabbed for free. Dual wielding is mainly useful for fighting Green Lizards or Scavs.

This is great. The Idea of a rain world bar where ALL lore gets thrown out of the window and everybody Just hangs out after or during their campaigns is pretty great too. Also,the fact that the Cell sounds like a marble on a wooden table or something like that is kinda funny

I love the part where, after Rivulet jumps off a cliff, there’s a little puff of steam showing the dead slugcat icon. That was SO well animated. Honestly all of it was!!
I once had a situation: I was carrying the dark red and magenta (that one found in waterfront complex) pearls up the Struts and I got chomped on by a lizard, dont remember if it was white or cyan. For some reason it later lost me, I return to where I was first caught and dropped the pearls, pick them up and leg it for the nearest shelter because the timer was almost over. Then, during sleep I discover I grabbed a rock instead of the dark red pearl and didn't notice. Thankfully it was still in that room next cycle, I suppose unique pearls spawn next to dens.
It’s slippery and covered in blood. And I only have the tiny hands that make it hard to hold round, slippery, small Pearl. Also, the whole stomach injury thing didn’t help.

@@c_8004 I realized that I had 2 of the 4 cycles required for Nomad, so I decided to try and get the Nomad passage to skip to the top of Chimney Canopy by cutting through Shaded Citadel. I got to the shelter past Memory Crypts, but it just became miserable trying to get through deep Shaded Citadel. I wound up saying "screw it" and just unlocked Saint's campaign early. No regrets.
For anyone who sees this and struggle with Spearmaster, don't rely on dual wielding. Dual wielding is great for fighting Scavs, Vultures, and large lizards like green ones but otherwise you're better off with a rock and spear. Throwing a rock first followed by a spear is basic lizard combat. The other is dropping behind them or forcing them to climb and stabbing them in the body by falling past them. You should always be keeping track of what item is in what hand. That is why you're expected to beat the game first so you know the power of rocks or vulture masks. Similarly you don't need to carry the Pearl with you, go out and get food them come back and get the pearl. Most regions have many shelters mid way through. When you kill stuff for the rest of the cycle you have less threats. Rocks are better at stunning and protecting you then spears when it comes to lizards which are the primary threat. Carry a rock and the pearl to stay safer, a lot of why people die is they carry the pearl and spear then throw it at a lizard's head barely doing anything.
Needing to go through the underhang with a grapple worm and the pearl is by far the worst part of the campaign. As far as I'm concerned, every other region is fine, because you can actually defend yourself from the spitter spiders, dropwigs, and (miros) vultures.

Idk why but the first part made me want a lizard mod where you have to just survive as a lizard and if you find a slugcat AI and take it to a shelter it gives you full food. The lizard’s reaction to Ruffle falling was such a “oh come on, stupid Ai” look
rivulet looks so done lol also there's a game on roblox called lizard game inspired by rain world. it's mostly similar to what u meant except all players are mostly lizards or stuff like vultures or miros. there's rain and you have to find shelter and put food in the shelter but there are no scugs sadly. it has stuff like the yellow lizards telekinesis, white lizard invisibility, climbing, all that stuff. pretty good game honestly

Considering the game's lore, 0:12 type stuff wouldn't be a rare sight. Creatures would experience something they'd rather not be permanent and suicide all the time. At least if that interpretation on how the wonky and hole filled no one dies thing is correct.
I believe pebbles mentions that almost all creatures are purely instinct driven and aren't actually aware of the cycle, unable to live outside of their current moment of existence.
Rivulet gets a two handed item that increases their speed temporarily. Spearmaster gets a tiny hard to spot pearl that nerfs their double spear ability for the rest of the game.
Yea, the cell is honestly really nice for the Submerged Superstructure but that stupid pearl is so useless and you need to carry it the whole rest of the game.
Luckily, my stupid ass went straight to Comms Array after seeing 5P so I can just passage back and forth. Still a really annoying process with that pearl though

My first playthoughs of Rivulet and Spearmaster, I enabled "key items on passage." Felt like cheating but also less migraine
