    Tandalachi ukad is a traditional, authentic Maharashtrian recipe. This is a very easy and quick recipe. As the name suggests it is made from rice flour. Do try this delicious recipe and write to me. Do not forget to like, share and comment.
    Ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup Rice flour
    • 1 1/2 cup Butter milk
    • 1 tbsp Oil
    • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
    • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp Grated Ginger
    • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
    • 2 Finely chopped Green chilies
    • 1/4 tsp Hing / Asafoetida
    • 8-10 Curry leaves
    • Salt to taste
    • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
    Method:
    • Heat up oil in a pan. You can use ghee instead of oil for tadka.
    • Add mustard seeds and let them pop up.
    • Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle up.
    • Add hing, ginger, green chilies and curry leaves.
    • Mix well and fry for about a minute.
    • Add turmeric powder and mix well.
    • Add butter milk and salt. Mix well and bring it to boil.
    • You can add sugar if you want.
    • When butter milk begins to boil nicely, lower down the heat.
    • Add rice flour and mix quickly.
    • No lumps of rice flour should be formed.
    • Cover and steam on medium heat for about 8-10 minutes.
    • As ukad gets cooked it gets nice glaze.
    • Turn off the gas and garnish with lots of coriander leaves.
    • You can serve hot ukad with ghee.
    Tips:
    • You can make uakd healthier by adding veggies of your choice
    like carrot, capsicum, green peas in tadka.
