For 2023, Dodge is introducing seven final special editions of the Charger and Challenger, with the Charger Swinger being a highlight. This edition boasts unique graphics, exclusive colors, and a powerful 807 horsepower V8 engine. As Dodge transitions to hybrid and potentially all-electric vehicles, this marks the end of their V8 era. Despite minimal changes to the Charger since 2015, this "last call" release will be limited, with only 1,000 units each of the Charger Swinger and Challenger Swinger available.

How loud is the exhaust from behind the wheel? It seems like maybe it would get on my nerves on a long road trip. What's your opinion?

It's loud only when you're on the throttle. At highway speeds it does not drone.

I put an MBRP street cat-back on my Charger Scatpack. My neighbors know when I start up the car. The OEM exhaust is much quieter and tin-ni-er.

I don't know the name "Swinger" in connection with the Charger. The only product I remember was the "Polaroid Swinger" black & white Polaroid quick developing camera 🙂

@@AStanton1966Me too! Two of my friends had Yellow 426 Hemi Roadrunners, I only had a 1965 GTO with a 389. My best friend in high school had a Monaco with the 383. Also had a couple friends with 440 ci Chargers. The good ol' days 🙂

We have the Uconnect4 in our Charger and the Uconnect5 in a new Jeep. The Uconnect4 is a dream; the Uconnect5 a nightmare. I don't know why people always have to try and re-invent the wheel.

Nobody spends “much” on gas. Even if you drive it daily, your gas bill is not higher than insurance bill. :)

For 1972 on Swingers, you are correct. For 1970-71 the Swinger package included things like a Rallye instrument cluster, a 340 V8 with your choice of 4 speed or automatic transmissions, and a handling package. They could show a big block Nova their tail lights....

Dissapointed to hear an actual journalist peddle the falsehood of it being a 90s E class. If you don't believe me go and read the development information on allpar. It has some mercedes components from a 2000s S class up front and E class in the rear. Other than that it is a clean sheet design that was already in development before the Benz-Chrysler merger. It is not a 90's E class.
