    Mygolfspy in their 2019 Golf Ball Buyer's Guide rated the Cut Blue as poor. The only other ball rated poor was the Cut Grey. The S3 was rated as good and the S4 as very good. I believe the main issue with the Cut golf balls was damage from the wedge shots. Did you notice durability issues? Perhaps the company has made changes to the cover. The Callaway Chrome Soft was also found to have quality control problems. Mygolfspy found many off center cores that contributed to larger shot dispersion. The Kirkland Signature 3 Piece at $12 a dozen were a good value.

      jporter504 can’t speak for Mr Short Game but I play the Blue mostly I like the little extra height and honestly I have not seen any real durability issues most balls last about 10 to 14 holes and usually by then most balls I’ve tried they need replacing. But other then that solid ball and at 19.99 leaves more money for drinks at the 19 th hole. I’ve played them head to head with many top name balls and this ball performed just as well. It’s not the longest ball but it was within 2 yards. I even did a few cut tests checking core etc...no issues. So I do recommend the Cut Golf balls.

    • @SadHippo100
      @SadHippo100 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry Matt, I see you already did something similar in June. I watched another review that was done indoors with a launch monitor which tested the new Kirkland ball with wedge, 7i and Driver. It concluded that the new KSIG (Kirkland Signature) was generally spinnier on all clubs by quite a bit, slightly longer off the wedge and 7i and slightly shorter off the Driver. With those characteristics one would conclude that the new KSIG is an okay ball but certainly not the deal of the century that the original 4 piece KSIG was which out tested the Pro V1. Cheers!

    Found a Cut Grey in the rough at my local course. Used it the next round. Found that it spun well, felt soft off the irons and strong with the driver. In UK on amazon they £22.95. This model reported to be 3 piece so in line with Prov1. I would say no difference in performance tbh. Big difference in price though. Might have to buy a dozen Cut Blue, 4 piece so probably more in line with Prov1x

    Another good video. Curious, though, I would like to hear your thoughts on durability. Others had asked in comments below, but maybe I missed the response. I've played many of these allegedly high quality, low price balls and found that there great out of the box, but not much on durability. Particularly, the Kirkland's. Played several good rounds with a Cut Grey before it got thrown in the shag bag. The best I have played in this category of balls is the MTB X. Anyway, would love to hear what you think.

    Huge fan of your training methods & enthusiasm for the game. I have a question a bit off subject but figured I'd still shoot away. I have 2 daughters, 11 & 9 y/old that I want to start introducing more into golf. I've taken them to the range, they love it. What type of club set would u recommend for kids their age? I have played with all the different Cut golf balls they have out. They feel like a premium ball, the only reason I dont stick with them is every single one I have played with, the cover lasts maybe a round and a half. They get large gashes in the cover and when it hits a cart path or a tree, the ball is unplayable.

    Dave, (who "never" would practice) would always buy the most expensive balls because "they are better". Then get to the par 3 third and dump a sleeve of them in the water. He's also the same guy who would squirt his drive 50 yards to the side of the ladies tee box. Then on a severe side hill lie out of deep rough try to crush his 3 wood. There were days we, literally, had to give him balls to complete his round. But he's always in for the skins.....

    Well they are named "Cut" for a reason! The balls durability is unfortunately not very good! it performs well otherwise, I played a round of golf and after just 3 holes the balls looked like I had been hitting it off of cement. I was in the fairway or rough on a very nice golf course, so the damage was done with the grooves of my irons. For the price point it's a good ball, but you know why you are saving so much when you play the ball. One ball will not make it through the round. I can't say it didn't perform well, but I wouldn't play the ball again, so I can't recommend the ball.
