Completely agree! This is an absolute assault, and to do it in our homes?! Before this I had 0.009% interest in anything Charlotte T, and now I feel like I must have the mirical skin cream, the superstar liquid hilighter thing, and that want thing she used right before the bar of gold palette. And if I buy all 3 of those things, I will be battering my account.....

Watching this a whole year later and the first time I smelt the Magic Cream I was taken back to the scent of the original “Nivea” cream in the blue jar. I’m 63 and have fallen in love with CT’s products I cannot run out of my Magic Cream.

I know this is an old one but this video has been the brightest thing in this quarantine day
Magic Cream smells like straight up copertone, like a day at the public pool lol... it has three sunscreen ingredients in it, so that's why... as someone who works in the cosmecuticals formulation industry I was incredibly disappointed with the ingredients in that cream. I stupidly purchased it based on all the hype and when I got it in hand and looked at the ingredients on the box I instantly knew I was going to be underwhelmed. Her marketing is always a bit over the top, but for something that makes some pretty hefty claims, the ingredients are unremarkable and the first anti-aging ingredient doesn't even show up until after TWO preservatives on the label... this is when you know they are strictly in the cream to promote them in the marketing, we call this "label boosting" in the industry... her skincare suffers MAJORLY from label boosting, you can get more effective creams for 1/4 the price. Additionally I call shenanigans on her claims that she used to whip this up in her home kitchen to slap on supermodels prior to producing it on a commercial level... the cream has an ingredients list 8 lines long and most of the ingredients wouldn't be available to the public, even to a makeup artist. A long ingredient list on a cream is usually a red flag for me, but a bigger problem is that the first preservative shows up only 11 ingredients into a cream that lists 48 ingredients on the package and also touts additional "secret ingredients." Learn to read product labels ladies, it is the best thing you can do for your skin and wallet, these companies are out there trying to take your coin and much of the time these high end creams are not worth it. I do love her cosmetics though, I am a ride or die for her complexion products, and her Dolce Vita and Sophisticate palettes are my go-to's.

YAASSS we love a sis who educates, thank you for your advice, I'm hunting down products for a proper skincare regime and thanks to you, I'll be paying close attention to number and order of ingredients, not just names like glycolic acid etc. What are your thoughts on The Ordinary?
Knowing what I know about labeling and preservatives in my sugar scrubs/bath bombs I know that preservatives are like 1-2% of the total weight of the product. I THINK you can also list ingredients under 2% in any order you want so anything at the end is also reaaaaaally small amounts. That being said, I'd love to hear your suggestions for something comparable.

Working in this industry has completely changed the way I look at and understand skincare ingredients, and I used to have the complete wrong approach to things. I bought into hype, marketing, and the idea that expensive products were more likely to be better. I also really relied on my face cream to do everything, and that just isn't going to get you the results you want. There are 5 general building blocks to a good skincare routine, the key is finding products that fulfill these blocks that also suit your skin type. I have very dry skin that is also sensitive to certain ingredients, so my products are geared towards those concerns. The first block is sun protection, I always wear some sort of facial sunscreen when I go out and I prefer that it be separate from my skincare (not in my face cream). The second block is hydration, both internal (drinking water) and topical (from creams, masks or serums). I personally look for a face cream that is all about the hydration and rely on serums and other skin treatments to address aging concerns, because honestly most effective anti-aging ingredients perform better outside of the fatty environment of a cream. It is very hard to stabilize anti-aging ingredients like antioxidants or peptides in creams, and they last longer when not exposed to air and most creams come in pot form. For my day cream I use a water cream, these are built around hyaluronic acid which is great at plumping the skin and holding moisture in your skin without using oils or anything that will build up on the skin, so they are perfect for use before makeup application. My current favorite is the Belif Moisturizing Bomb for winter, in the summer I switch to the Belif Aqua Bomb which is a little lighter. I also really liked Sunday Riley Tidal Water Cream but the fruit enzymes in it irritated my sensitive skin. At night I prefer a more traditional face cream that is more rich and contains non-comedogenic oils or butters, because these are great at addressing texture issues on the skin. Using these at night allows them to really penetrate so they can be effective, and since you're not applying makeup on top it doesn't matter if they leave a lipid layer on the skin. My current night cream is Bobbi Brown Hydrating Intense Night cream but it appears this has been discontinued recently. Every other night I also layer a water cream type sleeping mask with my night cream for that extra hyaluronic acid boost. I like the Laniege Water Sleeping Mask as long as added fragrance doesn't irritate your skin. I also use eye creams, in the day I just look for something hydrating, at night I use a retinol eye serum and retinol eye cream. The third block is exfoliation, and I mean chemical not granular. Physical exfoliants can really irritate the skin and are not highly effective, they really don't have a place in a modern skin care routine. I don't have oily skin or suffer from clogged pores so I prefer an AHA and for my sensitive skin lactic acid is tolerated best. Glycolic acid is another AHA commonly used. I use the Sunday Riley Good Genes treatment nightly to keep my skin well exfoliated and balanced. The fourth block is antioxidants. These are volatile ingredients that generally have a short shelf life and perform best in a liquidy serum formulation than inside a cream. Look for an antioxidant serum that features multiple antioxidants (vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A, etc...) housed in a bottle that won't allow in light, and if the serum changes color or oxidizes don't use it. I like the OLEHENRIKSEN Truth Serum, but there are a lot of good serums out there. A lot of people like the Drunk Elephant C-Firma but my skin couldn't tolerate it. The fifth block is retinol. Retinol is sometimes hard to tolerate and it takes months of use to see true results, but retinoid ingredients are honestly the most effective ingredient at resurfacing the skin and improving the skin at deeper layers. I personally use the Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil and for me it is the only retinoid product that I am able to use nightly that hasn't caused my skin to freak out, but there are tons of retinoid products out there, including clinical strength applications that a dermatologist would need to prescribe. It takes a bit of experimenting to really learn your skin and what it tolerates and responds well to, and obviously your age and skin type will dictate the formulations that are appropriate for you. I honestly really recommend learning to read product labels so you can start to identify at least some of the major hydrating and anti-aging ingredients and also common preservatives so you can get a feel for whether a product is formulated to actually work, or formulated to allow the company to market claims to the consumer. More expensive doesn't always mean better, and more ingredients doesn't mean more effective. I know this reply was SUPER long, but hopefully it was a little helpful :)
Film star bronze and glow is fabulous...also her airbrush flawless finish powder is...well...sorcery. It has replaced all of my powders. It can set under eyes, it has a minute amount of coverage that is buildable, you can pack it on throughout the day without looking crusty....it’s just amazeballs. I wore her red carpet red on my wedding day. Her line is goals and I am dying to try more!! ✌🏼🖤💋

Paris Sinclair Many people don’t review Chanel because it’s luxury make up without any reason. The products smell like perfume and cause breakouts, shade range is non existent on both ends of the spectrum, eyeshadows are not interesting or pigmented. I understand not everyone wants a pigmented eyeshadow, but I can buy like a non pigmented one for 1€ or something, why would I spend that much to look like I’m not wearing make up?
The tan de Chanel bronzer and Marc Jacobs dew drops are essential for natural healthy glow highly, highly recommend 😍🔥
Can I just tell you why I support and love you so much?? You always say "I feel" on your opinions, showing that it's just your opinion and you're not forcing it on anyone. Even when reviewing makeup given to you, you're honest and tell us what to expect. As a 44 year old, I look my most youthful wearing Charlotte Tilbury base products. My best makeup days are wearing the sheer foundation, magic concealer, Airbrush flawless powder, the contour wand, blush in Sex on Fie, and the highlighter palette. I reach for the highlighting palette over Ofra and the Amrezy highlighter. I love the Matte Revolution lipsticks formula so much. The tinted fiber Legendary Brows is just the best. It helps to build hair like fibers on my brows, and looks so natural. I skip on the mascara, gloss, liquid lip, fragrance, eye cream, and primer. ( they weren’t repurchases for me) I’ve tried nearly everything from this line. I have lots of stuff here that I haven’t mentioned, but my standouts are listed. Btw, I love the instant look in a palette when I travel. It has everything I need for a easy, flawless look. I am also quite partial to the bronze and glow and the Hollywood flawless filter. I prefer her makeup over her skincare. I love that you did this video.

You look absolutely gorgeous! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you try her cheek to chic “boob” blushes, pillow talk lip cheats lip liner and her air brush flawless finish pressed powder. They are all amazing products. The pressed powder is the only touch up powder I will use and more. it is so light and smoothing and invisible on the skin it’s like black magic!

I think you need to go on to Sephora and get the concealer, I've heard its amazing! Buy their newest eyeshadow palette, its beautiful! Buy the Hollywood bronze and glow and one of their cheek to chic blushes. Or buy the pillowtalk blush and shadow palette.

Charlotte Tilburys makeup and skincare is amazing. Her makeup is expensive as it has ingredients built in to treat the skin also. Try anything of hers honestly you won’t be disappointed. Look at the pillow talk range to do a video on, it has a blush, quad eye shadow, lip liner and lipstick to match. They are flawless and the perfect colours for anyone. That would be a great video.
Please do full face of Nars Kristi! I truly trust your opinion with products and Nars is one of those brands many don't review except for their concealer :-(

The lashes are intense and over the top, but they look really nice with the natural, glowy makeup. Almost looks like a bridal makeup to me, especially before the lipstick. Beautiful!

So I go to check out your channel and I see this girl sitting in the garden outside with a cat harassing her and making her video filming difficult and I fell in love with you personality then and there! And I loved that you are also a cat person and talked to your cat as if he were a human and could understand you. I .....felt less alone in the planet because of that one.

Re Placibo - yep! I am nearly 50 and used every type of cheap make up on my face - NEVER had an issue or problem! I never even used to prep or conture my face - just did basic make up yet it looked great!
