IamIceQueen7 so true the generation g lipstick you are meant to put it on without any product on you lips. That’s why she hated the shade cake. The foundation on the lips ruined it. I love glossier since I like natural makeup that I can apply quick
I’m the natural makeup type, but I don’t understand the point of the skin tint - and I don’t wear foundation. Just get a great SPF (I recommend Krave Beet Shield) and use a concealer if you need it.
I think people feel the same about milk make up. Milk is meant to be quick and easy, almost do every thing w/ your hands and people hate that. I haven't tried glossier, but i want to now haha.
That sheer coverage is definitely not nothing, it made your skin look like you had naturally nice skin, smoothed everything out. I don’t think you need to have perfect skin to wear it you just need to be going for the no-makeup look!
I feel like every TH-camr I watch review Glossier hates it, but looks absolutely gorgeous at the end of their video. I personally like Glossier. I want people to think I'm not wearing anything. Who doesn't want to look like themselves, just a little better?
@@gabya7109 i don't see any preaching lmao. i'm partial to both very sheer coverage natural make up, but i also wear a full coverage beat all the time. no one said a certain way of doing make up was superior. make up is all about being creative and expressing yourself, nobody's preaching
not me, it just feels like a waste of money. literally could achieve the glossier look with a color corrector. not willing to spend 300 dollars on a shitty pot concealer
With the first product you applied, it didn’t exactly give coverage (spots etc), BUT it DEFINITELY made a noticeable difference in evening out your skin tone, at least on camera :)
Hey, former Glossier pop-up employee here! Honestly the skin tint was something I rarely recommended customers bc it is SO absurdly sheer.... BUT for me, I like to mix a powder foundation (like the Wowder) into the skin tint bottle itself to thicken it up and give it more coverage bc I really do enjoy the texture and glow that the skin tint gives, but I definitely agree on its own it’s basically zero coverage. Hope this little tip helped!
Nikki N that is such a great tip. I'll definitely consider this next time I go to the show room here in NYC. I love the boy brow and cloud paint so I've been meaning to try more products
Girrrrrrrl, I feel like this is one of your best looks!!! Your skin is absolutely glowing and you look super duper healthy!! Also, adoring the brows! You look wonderful, Kristi! 😍😍😍
I find it so sad how so many beauty people here on youtube genuinely seem to hate their own bare skin. I thought that Kristi looked great with the skin tint on and she has really nice skin, yet she still thought that she looked 'like shit' because of some minor imperfections like redness (which I couldn't even see).
It just reminds us that everybody is human and we all have insecurities ! :) The funny part is that many people in the comments compliment her on how the products make her skin look beautiful ! Which is totally true ! She looks so healthy and glowy, yet she seems to hate it herself :(
i used to be obsessed with covering every single pimple of my face but after seeing how it made my skin look cakey, I switched over to spot concealing and no foundation. i want to try this brand because it seems so natural looking, which I really love now. overall, I love your review Kristi, it’s so honest! love from uk!
Same! I had really bad acne all throughout middle school and lost it high school and I wore full coverage foundation every day and wouldn’t leave the house without it😂 now I almost never wear foundation.
It’s a amazing brand honestly and I’ve struggled with makeup bc of my oily skin but surprisingly enough this stuff looks stunning and it doesn’t make me break out like other stuff has in the past. It’s made a huge difference and it looks so natural I love it
@@shade247 cause she's an absolute brat lol. Kristi's makeup looks are always so great! Even if there are some less than stellar looks, it's all for play and usually an experiment. Not every single look has to be THE LOOK 🙃 lol
I know I'm insanely late to this, but being 100% honest...I don't think I've ever seen you look so fresh faced and healthy. It's such a beautiful look on you, I wish you saw what we see. You look absolutely youthful and radiant 😍
Skin tint would look beautiful on those who want minimalist natural makeup, great starter for teenagers who don't have blemishes. Youthful skin would love this.
I would never let my teenager buy this expensive brand that’s crazy lol or I wouldn’t buy it for them. They can use their own earned money I guess to look just as bare as they would with a tinted moisturizer from Walgreens
@@123pearbear A skin tint is a skin tint, you could say the same thing for an expensive foundation. Why use Nars or Giorgio Armani when you can use a brand from a drugstore? It's ok to have preferences.
Honestly I was never gonna buy anything from Glossier anyway because my oily skin doesn't need extra "glow" but it was really nice to see someone for once not totally overhype and love every product and kind of be nutral and call the products what they are: "fine."
The cloud paints are actually really good on oily skin! I appreciate how sheer and blendable they are and they come with so much product. They dry down completely and don’t have a dewy finish. :)
I'm with you...oily skin so I cringe when I hear the words "glow" and "illuminating". I do love the cloud paint though. Its liquidy but not at all greasy. Its almost like a watery cheek stain. It gives your cheeks that natural slightly flushed look.
Interesting how critical we are of ourselves lol like when she was saying how the skin tint wasn't covering all her redness and pigmentation... I was like GIRL WHERE? lol
I don't understand the negative comments! Get over yourselves! She did this "First Impressions" for y'all because you asked for and she spent her own money it was not sponsored! She is allowed not to like a product! Love you Kristi!
For real! I mean some of the negatives she has about the products are personally what I look for in my makeup. Doesn't make it terrible just makes it not her preference. People need to take a chill pill...it's literally just makeup.
After I saw Allana rave about the concealer, I bought it and it’s a HUGE game changer for me. I have bad dark circles and my under eyes are pretty dry. Even though it doesn’t cover all of my darkness, it’s the only concealer that doesn’t look dry on me and doesn’t get Creasy and yucky! 🙌🏽
Jamie Rogers I'm looking for a concealer like this! I usually use the born this way from too faced, but it look a little dry on me. I am pale with a yellow undertone (all the concealer I found are more pink undertone 😅) do you think this product can match my skin tone?
Jamie Rogers I will have to try this... I don't really use foundation but I want a concealer to cover my dark circles but everything I use looks so crackly (if that's a word) because my under eyes are so dry. So I just end up taking it off. It makes me look wrinkly and gross.
I have bad dark circles and my look is like the glossier look and I like Bare Minerals serum concealer for days when I just wear concealer, brows, blush and lip balm. Try it out too.
its so weird to me that people think glossier is nothing, like nooooo coverage and suuuper greasy because where i live, in France, if you were wearing much more makeup, people would think you were trying way too hard, and you looked fake. I know this cause i wear glossier religiously, even as an acne sufferer, and i know that if i had much more on i would be seriously judged. I think this made me realise how unrealistic my expectations were, like i thought that people who went full-beat, looked super natural irl. But i don't think that is the case, and it has seriously opened my eyes. Remember, fellow peeps who compare their naked face to youtuber's full faces of sephora makeup, filmed with ring lights, YOU ARE NORMAL. When these gurus use something that makes them look like themselves, they dont like it, and dont feel comfortable. This is nothing against youtubers, just lets all try and stop comparing ourselves to what we think is perfect cause in reality, they dont actually look like that. Not intending to offend anyone, love your channel xxxxx
Here in Germany it’s the same, most women wear barely any make up. Especially in Uni everybody is walking around bare faced. But I really don’t care if people judge me. I want to wear makeup and I’m gonna do just that. 🤷🏻♀️
Moni Pampeloni Fake lashes all day everyday are met with special bewilderment! „Lemme just pop on my everyday lashes“ Like... what?! 😂 Reminds me of those different countries make up vids that were trending years ago. Loved it.
@@mystaminacantakethis Totally agree with you and sOpHiE ! Hell, even when I lived in the US I barely even noticed anyone wearing a FULL FACE GLAM with the whole fake lashes etc..... like maybe once or twice, but it was not as common as we might imagine ! I think when we keep watching TH-camrs put on a full face of makeup we kinda start thinking that's normal "that's how everybody does it", but in reality, everybody is too busy and don't have that much time to spend applying a full face of makeup! I also live in France and if you go out in the streets wearing a cut-crease, you will get funny looks !
The thing is, everyday women in the US don’t even wear this lol and even those who do, it’s not every day. Most of us it’s just for photos or nights out. TH-cam and Instagram makeup is different
Also, people do this for the artistic value in it. They’re not trying to look real or fool anyone lol. Everyone knows it looks fake, nobody has a natural cut crease 🤣 it’s just fun and a good form of artistic release. This is just as “normal” as no makeup.
blubb_tm I’m an esthetician and I would have clients come in and do a full face wax. Not that they were super hairy, just so their makeup would go on super smooth?:)💕
Gabrielle Boilard u can get any areas you want done. Yes it can include all of those areas. Everyone’s hair growth is different so it is hard to say. Have you ever just gotten say the area above your lip done?
blubb_tm I have rlly bad peach fuzz bc I’m Persian and I get it sugar waxed and my makeup goes on MUCH smoother and natural. I’ve tried dermaplaning and it grew back quicker so for thicker hair waxing is a good way to go. If your skin is sensitive try sugar waxing instead of paraffin bc it’s easier on the skin 😊
My heart sank when she tried baking with the Wowder and used a beauty blender for the concealer. The products are supposed to be put on with just your fingers and a light brush of powder. I have acne scars, dark undereyes, and blemishes but tbh Glossier makes me feel more confident and pretty. I no longer feel like I'm hiding who I am under layers of foundation and powder. With that said I no longer mind my scars being visible. It's okay they're natural. Do not buy these products thinking they're full glam. They're sheer, beautiful, and natural.
Ely i feel the same way it made me embrace my skin. also for fuller coverage with the skin tint she could’ve used a brush. it’s definitely a trial and error product tho
As crazy as it sounds, the skin tint mixed with the makeup forever water blend is actually the best base/foundation combo for me. I don’t like either on it’s own but combined! Wow! Natural glowy but actually covers!!! You need to give it a try since you have both lol
Hey Kristi, would you consider giving this a try again on a day where you can wear a whole face of Glossier and do a wear test? I would love to see how the skin tint looks when you spot conceal and if it’s buildable.
To be honest, as someone who does not feel their best with a full-on cake face, I'd totally buy Glossier (I don't because I don't live in the US/Canada). I live for barely there, your skin but better, glowing from within stuff. Also, still, an amazing review! Thanks for it, Kristi.
Okay low key I love the coverage of the skin tint on you? It needs to be a shade darker but I personally like sheer coverage on people who don’t have perfect skin but I’m glad you know what you do and don’t like ❤️❤️❤️
Lol! Same with putting the concealer on eyelids. The product was definitely not designed for priming eyelids. I know she uses a concealer for that purpose, but there are actual eye primers for that which are made to hold onto the eyeshadow and stop it from creasing. The stretch concealer is meant to first and foremost hydrate and illuminate the dry under eye area, a completely different process.
i love glossier because it helped my skin!!! i spent 5 years caking my face with foundations, heavy concealers, and powders. i switched over to a light coverage foundation in the spring and got the skin tint and found my acne spots got so much smaller! i think it’s because it’s allowing my skin to breath, it really covers my spots if i do like two small layers of the skin tint, but i absolutely love this brand!!
Yes! I don’t know why u tubers need full coverage to the point that they are painting on a mask. I spot conceal and spot foundation per the suggestion of the ultimate Wayne Goss!!
I must say (you always look beautiful) but I am shocked ay how much I love this look on you. I think the Glossier "no makeup, makeup look" looks soo stunning on you! It's a shame you're not a fan!
I know you are not fan of the products, but I must say you look gorgeous and luminous, like a glam french film star. Like "I wake up like this and you wish you would" look
Personally I don't have perfect skin at all and I still prefer light coverage (I just spot conceal). Mostly out of laziness but also because it makes me feel more comfortable, because I don't feel it and therefore don't think about it too much. It puts me more in the mindset of "he you can see a few spots but whatever". When I wear a full face I'm way more conscious about it like is it still on, is it wearing off weird, can you see my pimples etc. It just makes me more self-conscious. Also when you get deep painful spots like me there's just a point where adding more and more foundation/concealer just makes them look worse and even more noticeable haha. I kinda loved the finished look btw, your skin is really not as bad as you think it is !
I know! I always worry when I've got eye makeup on, like mascara, if I have smudged it or if it starting to darken my under eye. But when I go out with only concealer on, I feel so much more relaxed.
Glossier’s products work for me. Im not a full-coverage girl, and I’m not a heavy makeup girl in general. The reason I opt for glossier as opposed to other light coverage makeup (that isn’t as pricey) is because they really do work with my skin sensitivity and don’t break me out. They make me feel like a fresh dewey fairy princess or some shit lmao.
Oh oh, Glossier fans will come after you. They’re hardcore about that stuff. LOL I definitely loved the final product because I enjoy a more minimalistic look. Will try the Cloud Paint and the BoyBrow. The skin tint is definitely not for me either, it looked like NOTHING. Will stick to my Lancôme Skin Feels Good skin tint. It is dewy but with light coverage. The concealer looked great on you but I understand you cause I hate that sticky feeling too. You did looked great at the end!
my prob is i can obtain THE SAME effect by mixing my moisturizer with a drop of my full coverage foundation- concealer. i didnt see any wow results that make me wanna purchase the foundation. plus if i ever wanted to buy things so thinly pigmented i would buy from mac cos is more bank for my bucks
they don't have a foundation for you to purchase? it's a skin tint, no where have they ever said it will work like a foundation. it is liteally a base just to even things out
This is my problem with the Cult of Glossier in general. I am someone who wears light coverage most days (in the form of tinted moisturizer/BB cream) and I still can't tell by watching all these videos, both those that came down positive and negative on Glossier, what it is exactly that their line of products brings to the table that is new, and not just hype and marketing. Tinted moisturizer/BB cream are light-medium coverage. I've been wearing a Tarte cheek stain for almost ten years that is sheer color for blush. The mascara doesn't seem like anything special either, and maybe the Boy Brow is some new kind of excellent, but it did not invent the natural full brow by existing. Liking these products because they do their job is fine and of course people ought to have their own preferences, but there is this extreme devotion to a Glossier philosophy of having a fresh face and minimal makeup and it's like, that all existed well before this company...
@@user-js8dp9iy9s "literally a base just to even things out" is what foundation is lol. Make up artist usually say that foundation is to make the skin tone even and concealer is to cover things up.
@@alwaysanswerb hype and marketing the all natural uver riche Cali girls who are now posting about starsigns and crystals is exactly what Glossier is about. As you said brands have been doing these products forever.
The skin tint makes your skin look so beautiful. Full coverage foundation looks really bad in natural lighting but I always get compliments when I wear the skin tint because my skin looks so glowy and smooth.
Just my opinion of course, but I think that if you used all the products including the skin tint, concealed the pimples and used the powder you would look AMAZING. Not that you don't always. I just adore you. But I think it would have been beautiful
I agree! Like do some actual research on the Brand and products and then do it properly. I mean Glossier has an entire blog. Check out Katie Jane Hughes, she has done a lot of Glossier's campaigns.
Nicole Dufour DuRocher what do you mean, "do it properly"? How did she not properly apply half a dozen sheer af products that you're just supposed to blend in with you fingers? lol give me a break

[disclaimer] (I haven’t tried glossier) I FEEL like glossier is makeup for people that don’t need to wear makeup but want to. Y’know? Like people whose face looks nearly perfect already, but they want to wear makeup for funsies.
aa mruwka you’re absolutely right. I just meant cuz some people have a lot of redness or skin problems and don’t feel comfortable without makeup, glossier seems like it’s for people who have nice skin already lmao. But you’re so right no one needs to wear it, i agree.
True, i don’t break out often and have been wanting to try glossier because i truly love my freckles and hate covering it when i wear makeup but also, love to put on makeup when i go out, but don’t necessarily need it (no one needs makeup but you know what i mean)
okay Edits hey, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean my comment with bad intent. When I said nearly perfect I meant as perfect as a face can be according to general beauty standards. Obviously no one is perfect and I don’t think they should have to be. I just meant; they don’t have any visible skin problems/have nice coloring/ pigmentation to their skin and features (like lips) and are comfortable enough with their eyebrows to just need very minimal product in them. I’m a makeup artist so I have to do a lot of analyzing of people’s faces, figuring out what needs to be “fixed” although I hate “fixing” people’s faces. But that’s what people want from makeup typically, they want to make their face better. What I should have said, though, is that I feel like glossier is for people who are very confident in their faces. You’re right I should stop using that term “perfect” so much. Thank you for making me aware of that and I wish you good luck in your self love struggles! I know I struggled with that a lot at your age and luckily in a few years time it got a lot better, it’s definitely a hard age so, keep on trucking. :)
I honestly don't get stick highlighters.....cuz you can't rub them on, so why not just put them in a pan since you have to pat it on with your fingers/sponge anyway?
Lana Wana I use a brush with mine! I have the watts up from benefit and I just run the stick onto my brush and stipple it on that way it doesn’t disrupt the makeup underneath but still applies the product evenly
I don’t usually wear foundation for I for the most part use the stick and then blend out with my fingers. I like it better than pot ones because I feel like I control the amount more
Glossier sold and image and a “vibe” VERY well. The thing is the products I guess are perfect for someone with normal, blemish-free skin who can’t be bothered to spot conceal and learn how to use regular makeup products in a sheered down your skin but better way. I don’t see this working for very dry skin because it would catch on texture and look awful and on oily skin the makeup would slide all the way off after like 10 mins. They did an amazing job at marketing (they called the powder “wowder” lmao) and selling an ideal of the effortless cool chic That said you look very pretty and soft in the final look and I think this is exactly the type of look Glossier fans are going for!
I’ve got the concealer and the skin tint, I have crazy dry skin but I haven’t noticed it catching on any of my dry patches. I don’t use it every day but for the days that I’m just trying to even my skin tone and not go full face it’s nice. I definitely use the concealer to do some spot concealing. I don’t know, it’s nice for like an easy day, but I don’t think I could live with only them as my foundation and concealer.
There’s a fine line between super dewy and looking like a layer of crisco was laid down 😂 I’m not a fan of these greasy light dewy products but I’m here for rawbeautykrispy 100%
I actually really liked the skin tint on you. And omg the finish of that concealer! Never knew a dewy undereye could be good but you ma'am, are giving me new perspectives.
When she put on Cake I could definitely tell she was wearing something. Yes it's sheer, but doesn't leave and obvious lip line when you eat and can be easily reapplied. Let's be honest, what opaque lipstick doesn't look gross after a few hours of living?
Zuzana Zuscinova thank you for this reply! Corporate working girls need this type of makeup exactly. Going to purchase now based on your rec. Thank you! 💕
It gives me the warm fuzzies when you tubers give each other things they think they might like. I feel like TH-cam gives like a cheat code for gifts lol
I love Glossier and switched everything over to it because I love the natural dewy look best. It’s definitely a brand that was needed in the world. LOVE the dewy sticks and liquid eyeshadows!
On glossiers insta, all the models are obvi perfect and look good with this stuff but I’d rather not look soaking wet and like I’ve been trekking through a rainforest bc I’m not a cool edgy model. Most of the line seems like glorified Vaseline
@@yeseniatorres2996 I wear skin tint and don't look greased up at all. If anything on my skin it looks almost semi-matte. And I have combo acne prone skin. I guess it might not agree with everyone's skin which is ok, but definitely can work for some.
Don’t really get what the point of using a non-glossier foundation was tbh, i think you could have had a great look if you just kept with it and added concealer and powder.
I'm super oily too. I use it one of the ways CT recommends on her IG. I use it as a pre-highlighter, I put a generous amount on high points of cheeks, more than liquid high lighter, forehead, etc. Blend, then put foundation on. It's makes my matte foundation look dewy but not oily. Beautiful. Even once I set with powder. It is stunning and looks so natural. Sometimes I leave it or add highlighter. When I add highlighter it adds really pretty dimension. I totally recommend it, but def not as a foundation. The last plus is I have slight hyper pigmentation on my upper cheeks so because this has LIGHT coverage, not just sheen, it helps even out my skin tone. Go to Nordstrom and ask for a sample of you want to try it! They have little packets in different shades.
You looked absolutely angelic when you put that cloud paint on! You sold me up on a few products here and I really appreciate your honest review and the nice recap at the end really helped sum it all up.
I wish glossier was around when I was a tween in 2012, I had perfect skin but clogged my pores like crazy and used heavy makeup that didn’t even match my skin. 😩
The skin tiny might be nice if you have a foundation that is too full coverage and you want to sheer it out. Maybe not one for you on its own but mixed with something you might like it better.
I love Glossier because it’s more natural. I think they went for the natural look which is nice for people who don’t want a lot of makeup! Love watching ya girl! ♥️
Kristi, I love you but I’m gonna need you to zoom in more when you’re trying to show us parts of your face. Please and thank you! Loved your commentary and review. I think this same thing happened to me when I tried high end products for the first time, ‘I don’t know what I was expecting, but something... more?’
I love, love, love this look on you! The lipstick is the perfect shade of red for you, and the rest of your makeup looks so fresh and sophisticated. And for what it's worth, I even liked the sheer foundation on you.
i have acne but i have to say i ADORE skin tint. i resisted it for a long time but once i started treating it as a primer for spot concealing and not a *foundation* it was life changing. i always have trouble wearing concealer and other products without foundation but skin tint is exactly the right base to blend concealer into without adding coverage anywhere you don’t want it. it’s perfect for makeup that perfects without looking like anything - like your Kate Winslet in The Holiday video.
glossier is my LIFE but I totally get why it's not everyone's cup of tea. I cant live without their milky jelly cleanser, boy brow, or cloud paints. love you and loved this video even though I wish you would have liked it better! 😂💕
"You know...like a balmy wet gloss...glossy...like Glossier"🤣👌 ...thanks Kristi, this Glossier impression video confirms what I think of this product . Overhyped
Honestly I thought your skin looked really nice! It gives sort of je ni sais quoi look. With Glossier I think it looks best when you use all 3 base products together. The tint concealer and powder. Together the give some solid coverage still light and natural tho (I also like putting the concealer under the tint and then I pat the tint over top)
TH-cam legit tried to hide this video from me. I went to your page and everything and it didn't show up. Good thing I get emails otherwise I'd miss you. 😚
Hahahahahaha I’m such an idiot I thought the skin tint you were putting on was a PRIMER 😂😂😂 then I realized you said skin tint And I was like woah I see now why she’s confused I’m not about skin tints I’d rather not wear makeup It’s all in or none for me There’s some days I’ll wear barely any makeup but it’s typically a concelear Some cream contour A light high light and minimal powder Not a skin tint
I thought the skin tint did something but next to nothing really. I love the blush and the boybrow but everything else is a no for me. I do have good blushes and eyebrowgel etc in my collection so Im not going to buy these either Im afraid. I can see why some people like it. Its very natural and "cute". I have a lot of redness on my cheeks so its hard for me to go all natural like that. Great review Kristi! Seems honest and genuin liked it alot

I’m the natural makeup type, but I don’t understand the point of the skin tint - and I don’t wear foundation. Just get a great SPF (I recommend Krave Beet Shield) and use a concealer if you need it.
RosieWeasley skin tint is good for evening out skin tone if you have a bit of redness

I do the same thing now and it looks 10000 times better
All of you are more beautiful now. Full foundation is for movies, and even those promote unrealistic beauty standards.
Same! I had really bad acne all throughout middle school and lost it high school and I wore full coverage foundation every day and wouldn’t leave the house without it😂 now I almost never wear foundation.
tia the Lisa Eldridge philosophy 😊 I learnt that technique as well and I love it too.
It’s a amazing brand honestly and I’ve struggled with makeup bc of my oily skin but surprisingly enough this stuff looks stunning and it doesn’t make me break out like other stuff has in the past. It’s made a huge difference and it looks so natural I love it
I don’t think she even realizes how gorgeous this look looks on her.
First time her makeup has looked good! Her makeup is tragic otherwise
I so agree
Amy Belle that’s rude..
Amy Belle Why do you think that?
@@shade247 cause she's an absolute brat lol. Kristi's makeup looks are always so great! Even if there are some less than stellar looks, it's all for play and usually an experiment. Not every single look has to be THE LOOK 🙃 lol
glossier is the la croix of makeup
Cassidy Waters 😄
Cassidy Waters this just made no sense but also made complete sense to me at the same time? 😂
#fact
Cassidy Waters lmao amazing
kaley pacheco right? Like they’re both so subtle it’s not even worth it
I know I'm insanely late to this, but being 100% honest...I don't think I've ever seen you look so fresh faced and healthy. It's such a beautiful look on you, I wish you saw what we see. You look absolutely youthful and radiant 😍
Skin tint would look beautiful on those who want minimalist natural makeup, great starter for teenagers who don't have blemishes. Youthful skin would love this.
Cheryl De-Zilva yes! Teens without acne or most models would get great use out of it
I would never let my teenager buy this expensive brand that’s crazy lol or I wouldn’t buy it for them.
JLPE I meant for teenage ppl lol that’s insane
JLPE I think we push this “beauty” thing onto them too early why should they add expensive ass tint to their problems so young 🤷🏽♀️
You just discribed nicol concilio before she got called out 😹
I'm not gonna lie, I had to look up that name and I still have no idea who she is. Whoops 😂
I'm with you...oily skin so I cringe when I hear the words "glow" and "illuminating". I do love the cloud paint though. Its liquidy but not at all greasy. Its almost like a watery cheek stain. It gives your cheeks that natural slightly flushed look.
I feel the same about the skin tint. It also becomes SO shockingly oily a few hours in. Like, my hair sticks to it. Its a whole thing.
Also ur brows look so good!
Oh my god I become a huuuuuuuge oil slick too. No amount of powder worked to get it to settle. So nuts.
milk skin tint is AMAZING and im an oily gal and don't set it at all
my two fav beauty gurus 🤗
I read this in your voice! 😂
Rachel JediMom 👏👏👏👏👏
britbarrxoxo well said honey 👍👍
Try it out too.
i have really dry under eyes too. i'm going to try the concealer!
Who is Allana
its so weird to me that people think glossier is nothing, like nooooo coverage and suuuper greasy because where i live, in France, if you were wearing much more makeup, people would think you were trying way too hard, and you looked fake.
„Lemme just pop on my everyday lashes“
Like... what?! 😂
Reminds me of those different countries make up vids that were trending years ago.
Board meeting at glossier:
Chief...is this product glossy enough?
Chief: no...make it *glossier*
And that's how they got the name
Hannah F that’s hilarious
🤣
If my skin looked good enough for a foundation that sheer, I wouldn’t wear foundation.
I love that comment. Magnifico.
I have good skin, but sometimes I want some coverage and generally go to a bb cream. I think this might be a nice alternative
blubb_tm I’m an esthetician and I would have clients come in and do a full face wax.
Love that and everything but the only problem is the price for what you get, if you get barely nothing shouldn’t the price be like that as well?
As crazy as it sounds, the skin tint mixed with the makeup forever water blend is actually the best base/foundation combo for me. I don’t like either on it’s own but combined! Wow! Natural glowy but actually covers!!! You need to give it a try since you have both lol
Hey Kristi, would you consider giving this a try again on a day where you can wear a whole face of Glossier and do a wear test? I would love to see how the skin tint looks when you spot conceal and if it’s buildable.
Skin tints in general aren't buildable. Better off just getting a light to medium coverage foundation
You look like a pretty ballerina in the end... Gorgeous, fresh face.
My exact thought!
Yeah, because of the hourglass foundation 😂
That skin tint is the lacroix of foundation
Berkeley Franklin 😂😂😂😂 that’s so perfect
😂😂😂
Bahaha!
AHAHAH
Does anyone like it? I can only drink it with flavored vodka. Its good to mix into drinks cuz its not sweet but DAMN its nasty by itself.
Full face Charlotte Tilbury next, please!
It needs to be a shade darker but I personally like sheer coverage on people who don’t have perfect skin but I’m glad you know what you do and don’t like ❤️❤️❤️
Shaniya Allan me too!! I think it looks SOO pretty
I agree it made me want to buy it lol
that is so reassuring to hear someone say 😭 love that
Christy R me too, the more reviews I watch, the more I want it
Yes! All she needed to do was spot conceal those little blemishes and she would be good to go. Most people need way less coverage than they think.
I’m living for the minimal complexion and eyes with the bold lip 😍😍😍
I was SCREAMING when you didn’t take the foundation off your lip before putting that lipstick on 😩
Lol! Same with putting the concealer on eyelids. The product was definitely not designed for priming eyelids. I know she uses a concealer for that purpose, but there are actual eye primers for that which are made to hold onto the eyeshadow and stop it from creasing. The stretch concealer is meant to first and foremost hydrate and illuminate the dry under eye area, a completely different process.
a total disaster
Kaylee Hodges hope you’re okay? did you seek medical help?
Kaylee Hodges you know that if you put lipstick over foundation the color is better because its on a light surface
sammeeeeeee i was dying
That face you made when you said "like a *Glossier*" was EVERYTHING 😂
I mean this looks fresh and cute! You're right, it's just for that model-off-duty look.
i love glossier because it helped my skin!!! i spent 5 years caking my face with foundations, heavy concealers, and powders. i switched over to a light coverage foundation in the spring and got the skin tint and found my acne spots got so much smaller! i think it’s because it’s allowing my skin to breath, it really covers my spots if i do like two small layers of the skin tint, but i absolutely love this brand!!
Yes! I don’t know why u tubers need full coverage to the point that they are painting on a mask. I spot conceal and spot foundation per the suggestion of the ultimate Wayne Goss!!
The feeling I get while watching glossier reviews is similar to covering my face in lip gloss, my hairs down and it’s a windy day. 😐
I must say (you always look beautiful) but I am shocked ay how much I love this look on you. I think the Glossier "no makeup, makeup look" looks soo stunning on you! It's a shame you're not a fan!
I think this Glossier makes you look amazing, so glowy and natural.
You look stunning!
But your skin did look beautiful! Lol I feel like their products are over hyped and not worth the money. Go with Colourpop
Lainey Marie Beauty agree...The ultra blotted lip products from Colourpop seem similar, just for one example, and a fraction of the price.
I know you are not fan of the products, but I must say you look gorgeous and luminous, like a glam french film star. Like "I wake up like this and you wish you would" look
The concealer is AMAZING on mature and dry skin. I use it everyday but I have insanely dry skin.💋❤
Where is the colourpop foundation review ??? Plsss
Cheyenne Stewart I’m sure it’s coming! She’s crazy about the ColourPop no filter concealer:). Probably waiting for it to come in the mail.
Cheyenne Stewart Friday 💕
RawBeautyKristi Yes! I can't wait until Friday.
Yay!!! I'm waiting till Friday till I buy then
Cheyenne Stewart omg I can’t wait! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I think my favorite thing about your videos is knowing that no matter my mood, you will make me laugh! I adore you!
Glossier’s products work for me. Im not a full-coverage girl, and I’m not a heavy makeup girl in general. The reason I opt for glossier as opposed to other light coverage makeup (that isn’t as pricey) is because they really do work with my skin sensitivity and don’t break me out. They make me feel like a fresh dewey fairy princess or some shit lmao.
saruni :3 same, I switched out my bbcreams for the skintint and my skin has been so much better!
Oh oh, Glossier fans will come after you. They’re hardcore about that stuff. LOL
I definitely loved the final product because I enjoy a more minimalistic look.
Wanted wowed with the skin tint either. I could get something from the drugstore or a different brand for less and have the same effect.
my prob is i can obtain THE SAME effect by mixing my moisturizer with a drop of my full coverage foundation- concealer. i didnt see any wow results that make me wanna purchase the foundation. plus if i ever wanted to buy things so thinly pigmented i would buy from mac cos is more bank for my bucks
they don't have a foundation for you to purchase? it's a skin tint, no where have they ever said it will work like a foundation. it is liteally a base just to even things out
This is my problem with the Cult of Glossier in general.
Foundations still have coverage, the skin tint doesn't. it merely evens the skin out like a primer does. ''lol''
@@alwaysanswerb hype and marketing the all natural uver riche Cali girls who are now posting about starsigns and crystals is exactly what Glossier is about. As you said brands have been doing these products forever.
I think you should try RMS beauty! It's a smiliar concept but more medium coverage/pigment
The skin tint makes your skin look so beautiful. Full coverage foundation looks really bad in natural lighting but I always get compliments when I wear the skin tint because my skin looks so glowy and smooth.
Yassss there’s my girl!!! Probably never going to buy any of this but I just love your face 👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Courtney Strong same!
Just my opinion of course, but I think that if you used all the products including the skin tint, concealed the pimples and used the powder you would look AMAZING. Not that you don't always. I just adore you. But I think it would have been beautiful
Beauty And The Vape i really want her to do this video again
I agree! Like do some actual research on the Brand and products and then do it properly. I mean Glossier has an entire blog. Check out Katie Jane Hughes, she has done a lot of Glossier's campaigns.
Nicole Dufour DuRocher what do you mean, "do it properly"? How did she not properly apply half a dozen sheer af products that you're just supposed to blend in with you fingers? lol give me a break
i do not understand why you don't have more subs honestly. I always check to see if you've reviewed something before I buy it because your reviews are always honest and I know I can trust them. They're also just fun af to watch!! (rewatching some right now obviously lol) I hope you hit 1 million this year !! You deserve it!
I am not going to lie. Your skin looks FLAWLESS and so beautiful with this look!
Glossier isn't for people who dislike natural/sheer makeup. Not sure if anyone even takes that into consideration before filming reviews on it.
Yep, tired of people shitting on non-popular types of makeup
True, but at the same time why pay glossier prices for that amount of coverage when you can buy drugstore bb cream?
sugarstars I’ve never used a product that makes me look quite as good as the skintint does, and I’ve used dozens of bb creams in my life. It just does something special for my skin
@@krystal9044 I personally think the Holika Holika Holipop BB Cream in Glow is quite similiar to the skin tint. But it only comes in 1 colour (like kbeauty often does).... I would really recommend it if you are fair/light
@@feena9241 non-popular? lol natural look is popular - I see people everywhere judging those wearing full glam with cut creases and blinding highlight just beause it doesn't "look natural"
[disclaimer] (I haven’t tried glossier) I FEEL like glossier is makeup for people that don’t need to wear makeup but want to. Y’know? Like people whose face looks nearly perfect already, but they want to wear makeup for funsies.
Guten Morgan nobody NEEDS to wear makeup lol
aa mruwka you’re absolutely right. I just meant cuz some people have a lot of redness or skin problems and don’t feel comfortable without makeup, glossier seems like it’s for people who have nice skin already lmao. But you’re so right no one needs to wear it, i agree.
Sharon Batiz wow conspiracy confirmed 😂 good for you though!!! ❤️
"Like a glossier" lol
Angy D mind blown right! Lol
I cracked up! 😅
Girl... I need a full face of Milk cosmetics.
Watching her apply the Generation G on her lips covered with foundation HURT
Love these dedication one brand videos! 😍
Not all of us wear foundation
The formula.
I don’t usually wear foundation for I for the most part use the stick and then blend out with my fingers. I like it better than pot ones because I feel like I control the amount more
Oh damn I rub my stick highlighter all the time 🙈 I just love it concentrated
Glossier sold and image and a “vibe” VERY well. The thing is the products I guess are perfect for someone with normal, blemish-free skin who can’t be bothered to spot conceal and learn how to use regular makeup products in a sheered down your skin but better way. I don’t see this working for very dry skin because it would catch on texture and look awful and on oily skin the makeup would slide all the way off after like 10 mins. They did an amazing job at marketing (they called the powder “wowder” lmao) and selling an ideal of the effortless cool chic
That said you look very pretty and soft in the final look and I think this is exactly the type of look Glossier fans are going for!
Sheer is an exaggeration, that's transparent
catknuckles1 lmao..... right? 😂😂
Aaaand I just noticed this video is a year old. Whoops. I've been binge watching ok
I am LOVING how cream makeup makes you look so fresh and glowy! 😱 You have such mad makeup skills, I could watch your videos all day! 😊
Your intros always make me laugh 😂. I know the makeup didn’t have a ton of coverage but from what I’ve seen so far, your skin looks lovely.

Daaaamn!! The Glossier Comoooooonity rollin’ deep in these comments... 😂
Who was mean to you? Tell me! I got you boo!
girl i think because you had foundation on your lips cake was mixing with it and it sheered it out eveeen more?! just a guess
Thank you! 💕

I love Glossier and switched everything over to it because I love the natural dewy look best. It’s definitely a brand that was needed in the world.
LOVE the dewy sticks and liquid eyeshadows!
I guess. The girls I see in my life never wear the makeup that is on TH-cam or Instagram anyway. Maybe at the club. Idk. I’m too old for that.
On glossiers insta, all the models are obvi perfect and look good with this stuff but I’d rather not look soaking wet and like I’ve been trekking through a rainforest bc I’m not a cool edgy model. Most of the line seems like glorified Vaseline
Right? I have no idea why people want to look so greased up. It doesn't look "healthy" like people are claiming on here.
@@yeseniatorres2996 I wear skin tint and don't look greased up at all. If anything on my skin it looks almost semi-matte. And I have combo acne prone skin. I guess it might not agree with everyone's skin which is ok, but definitely can work for some.
PREACH 🙌
My skin is way too oily for glossier. I had hopes, but nah. I can look like that just living life.
That's LMFB, same! 🙌🏻
glossier works much better for oily skin actually, its not reccomended for dry skin. things tend to stick.

Ooh that Allana! I didn’t know my two fav channels were buds. Ha I have good taste 😜

Allana Davison same 😩! LOL!
Don’t really get what the point of using a non-glossier foundation was tbh, i think you could have had a great look if you just kept with it and added concealer and powder.
Gotta do Charlotte tilbury! I so wanna get the Hollywood filter that Sam has but not sure if it’s worth it as I’m hella oily lol! 💕
Yes!!! Please do a full Charlotte review!!
Lindsey Howard that’s it I’m sold!! Haha💕
Lindsey Howard I also live in the uk so I have to order it online lol as no where near me has it in stores but I’m deffo getting it!
the best products from glossier, in my opinion, are the milky jelly cleanser, greens galaxy mask, haloscope, and boy brow
You looked absolutely angelic when you put that cloud paint on! You sold me up on a few products here and I really appreciate your honest review and the nice recap at the end really helped sum it all up.
Ahhhhhh 😊 a 30 minute Kristi video, let me get comfy, I needed this!
“Like a gloss of some sort... like a GLOSSIER!” 😂
I wish glossier was around when I was a tween in 2012, I had perfect skin but clogged my pores like crazy and used heavy makeup that didn’t even match my skin. 😩
This made me really want the cloud paint and boy brow!!😍
The skin tiny might be nice if you have a foundation that is too full coverage and you want to sheer it out. Maybe not one for you on its own but mixed with something you might like it better.
I love Glossier because it’s more natural. I think they went for the natural look which is nice for people who don’t want a lot of makeup!
Love watching ya girl! ♥️

I think this same thing happened to me when I tried high end products for the first time, ‘I don’t know what I was expecting, but something... more?’
Melody Lao YES! Agreed.
I love, love, love this look on you! The lipstick is the perfect shade of red for you, and the rest of your makeup looks so fresh and sophisticated. And for what it's worth, I even liked the sheer foundation on you.
Emollient! I was struggling so hard to come up with the word to describe the Stretch Concealer and that’s the word that came to me.
I have the most dehydrated under eye area so I feel like this might be the concealer for me. Hahah
Love you!
i have acne but i have to say i ADORE skin tint. i resisted it for a long time but once i started treating it as a primer for spot concealing and not a *foundation* it was life changing. i always have trouble wearing concealer and other products without foundation but skin tint is exactly the right base to blend concealer into without adding coverage anywhere you don’t want it. it’s perfect for makeup that perfects without looking like anything - like your Kate Winslet in The Holiday video.
glossier is my LIFE but I totally get why it's not everyone's cup of tea. I cant live without their milky jelly cleanser, boy brow, or cloud paints. love you and loved this video even though I wish you would have liked it better! 😂💕
Same, same, same!!!!!
"You know...like a balmy wet gloss...glossy...like Glossier"🤣👌
...thanks Kristi, this Glossier impression video confirms what I think of this product .
Hahahahahaha I’m such an idiot
I thought the skin tint you were putting on was a PRIMER 😂😂😂 then I realized you said skin tint
And I was like woah I see now why she’s confused
I’m not about skin tints
I’d rather not wear makeup
It’s all in or none for me
There’s some days I’ll wear barely any makeup but it’s typically a concelear
Some cream contour
A light high light and minimal powder
Not a skin tint
I love how the finished makeup turned out. The concealer looks so good
For some reason the Wowder doesn't work well with a damp beauty blender and gets funky. If you use it with a brush it's great. Idk why 🤷♀️
Cotton Tolly Good to know, thanks. 😊
