I totally agree about applying foundation with a brush then going in with a sponge to smooth it out and press it into the skin. Not only do you use less product but you're able to maintain better coverage and still get a more natural, skin like finish. I highly recommend that method for dry, mature skin. I have found I can wear Fuller coverage foundations I wasn't able to get away with before without sheering them out with a sponge and losing coverage.
That's exactly what I do! Didnt like it just with one or the other and started doing brush first to get the coverage and the bb to get that perfect smooth canvas look.
Yes! I've actually rediscovered my flat foundation brush. I use it to swipe on a thin layer then smooth it out with a sponge and it looks way better and more skin like with way less product.

Girl, do you take progress pictures? If not, you might want to try. I've been keto for about 9 months and have lost 52 pounds, and I would find myself thinking that i had "hit a wall" or plateaued since the scale wasn't moving from time to time. Whenever I would feel like that, I would take another progress picture and compare it to my last picture and there is ALWAYS a difference. Your body is changing even if you think it isn't. Since you see yourself everyday, you just get used to the way you look even though it is changing little by little. Just my unsolicited two cents. I fucking love you. You a fuckin queen.

My invention was bedskirts that you could just attach with Velcro stripping al you do is glue the strips to your box spring then you can attach your bed skirts by attaching them with velcro around the edges. It was my invention because I was tired of lifting a king size mattress to put on a new bed skirt to match my sheets. Then a year or 2 later saw them selling them on QVC. Yep I yelled at the TV that was my idea!!

okay this sounds really disgusting. but when i was in 8th grade we had to come up with a product to sell for this project. and i came up with a pickle chocolate bar. LOL my gran used to tell me they did that when she was young... many, MANY decades ago!! And applied with those rather big fluffy body powder puffs (the kind you see in old glamour adverts & movies etc that accompanied those big round tins/jars of powder). She swore it was the perfect application method (not too messy and the right amount of stuff went more or less exactly where you wanted it).
Yes I totally agree about using a brush first beauty blender second, you do use less product and that combo is so much better than beauty blender only which is all I ever did and using a brush first really buffs and swirls that product into fine lines, wrinkles and pores. I also like going back in after applying foundation with a little concealer brush and putting a little extra foundation around my nose and mouth areas and chin where foundation wears off first and it makes all the difference.😉
With all the drama in the beauty community going on its really refreshing to come to your videos and just see a normal girl sharing her love for makeup ... not someone whos jet setting on a yacht and getting all caught up in the TEA. you do this for the right reasons and I appreciate that

Just do it! Play with it before you wash your face. I wouldn't consider myself bold but unless I really botch something up, I'll wear it out or to work. Surprisingly, those turn out some of the best looks and I get complimented on them even if my blend skills weren't perfect.

I really appreciate that you use the bright colors on these palettes! I am a face painter and like to use some of these eyeshadow palettes, but hardly anyone demos the bright colors so you can get a sense of them before you buy.

As a woman of color, it’s really hard to get color to pop on my skin tone. And despite what anyone says I like the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil Palette. Does it have the greatest pigment? No. But I do think it’s a great option at the drugstore. But do think you should do a comparison of the NYX Ultimate Brights.
I was also going to suggest using a white base such as the NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk. I use it for all of my colorful looks. I feel like bright colors look sooooo good on dark skinned people. 😍

Melly Mel I use to have the same issue.. it could be your primer or the way you apply it. I changed the way I applied it by doing a brush first and then making it smooth with a beauty sponge. Maybe try that?
You must be AMAZING at putting on foundation because whenever I go over 2 pumps it starts to look....wavy? Idk how to describe it but it doesn’t matter if I use a brush, a sponge (typically always use this), or my fingers....lol it’s like my face has a 2 pump limit. Or I just suck at foundation. I have really dry skin though so I have to use moisturizer, then a good primer etc.

I would buy it too!!! I hate toaster ovens... They take up so much counter space and are so dangerous. I have either burned myself on them and/or almost started a fire cooking stuff in them. Clear toaster would be BOMB

I've been keto for about 9 months and have lost 52 pounds, and I would find myself thinking that i had "hit a wall" or plateaued since the scale wasn't moving from time to time. Whenever I would feel like that, I would take another progress picture and compare it to my last picture and there is ALWAYS a difference. Your body is changing even if you think it isn't. Since you see yourself everyday, you just get used to the way you look even though it is changing little by little.

My invention was bedskirts that you could just attach with Velcro stripping al you do is glue the strips to your box spring then you can attach your bed skirts by attaching them with velcro around the edges. It was my invention because I was tired of lifting a king size mattress to put on a new bed skirt to match my sheets. Then a year or 2 later saw them selling them on QVC. Yep I yelled at the TV that was my idea!!

okay this sounds really disgusting. but when i was in 8th grade we had to come up with a product to sell for this project. and i came up with a pickle chocolate bar. LOL my gran used to tell me they did that when she was young... many, MANY decades ago!! And applied with those rather big fluffy body powder puffs (the kind you see in old glamour adverts & movies etc that accompanied those big round tins/jars of powder). She swore it was the perfect application method (not too messy and the right amount of stuff went more or less exactly where you wanted it).

Yes I totally agree about using a brush first beauty blender second, you do use less product and that combo is so much better than beauty blender only which is all I ever did and using a brush first really buffs and swirls that product into fine lines, wrinkles and pores. I also like going back in after applying foundation with a little concealer brush and putting a little extra foundation around my nose and mouth areas and chin where foundation wears off first and it makes all the difference.😉
With all the drama in the beauty community going on its really refreshing to come to your videos and just see a normal girl sharing her love for makeup ... not someone whos jet setting on a yacht and getting all caught up in the TEA. you do this for the right reasons and I appreciate that

Just do it! Play with it before you wash your face. I wouldn't consider myself bold but unless I really botch something up, I'll wear it out or to work. Surprisingly, those turn out some of the best looks and I get complimented on them even if my blend skills weren't perfect.

I really appreciate that you use the bright colors on these palettes! I am a face painter and like to use some of these eyeshadow palettes, but hardly anyone demos the bright colors so you can get a sense of them before you buy.

As a woman of color, it’s really hard to get color to pop on my skin tone. And despite what anyone says I like the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil Palette. Does it have the greatest pigment? No. But I do think it’s a great option at the drugstore. But do think you should do a comparison of the NYX Ultimate Brights.

I was also going to suggest using a white base such as the NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk. I use it for all of my colorful looks. I feel like bright colors look sooooo good on dark skinned people. 😍

Melly Mel I use to have the same issue.. it could be your primer or the way you apply it. I changed the way I applied it by doing a brush first and then making it smooth with a beauty sponge. Maybe try that?

You must be AMAZING at putting on foundation because whenever I go over 2 pumps it starts to look....wavy? Idk how to describe it but it doesn’t matter if I use a brush, a sponge (typically always use this), or my fingers....lol it’s like my face has a 2 pump limit. Or I just suck at foundation. I have really dry skin though so I have to use moisturizer, then a good primer etc.
