Carol has been growing bananas and studying their history for over 25 years. She has grown over 20 different varieties in the Encinitas area. She is a longtime Master Gardener and has been a member of CRFG since 1979.

Yes and no, she also notes how often her husband helps her carry heavy stuff, loans her his old clothes for rough dirty work, and other times her husband comes in handy. So she goes back and forth about men's value I guess

@@growyourownavocados I’ve seen healthy banter between couples, this is not it. She enjoys belittling her husband, probably because it gives her a sense of superiority, and like many females her age, she acts as if, she “settled” for him. He must have little self-respect, because his wife doesn’t even respect him enough, not to belittle him in public. If the roles were reversed, people would be mortified! “My dumb wife.” What would you think of a man, who constantly and publicly, belittles his wife?

@@portaadonai yes, his value is what he can do for her. She values him like a tool, or an ox. I guess, he is happy with the arrangement. He must be a beta, and is happy with the fact, that some female found him a useful tool. Who really settled? It sounds like, he did.

@@growyourownavocados Well then, you must be old enough to know, there’s always a bit of truth, in any playful joking. There’s one measure of truth, I believe we can all agree upon: reverse the roles. If your honest with yourself, you would say it’s misogynistic. Some how, when she does it, it is not. Just an observation people. I pick up on human behavior. Sometimes, a little bit, tells a whole lot.
