Mariko Gifford on Moringa
Moringa Oleifera, commonly called the 'drumstick tree", and 'horseradish tree' is native to India but has been planted around the world and is naturalized in many countries. Moringa is one of the most powerful health-enhancing plants yet known to man. While many things found in Nature can have one or two health benefits, Moringa has so many. Moringa has more nutrition in the leaf than any other plant yet known.
About Mariko Gifford, Owner, Moringa For Life - moringaforlife.com/
Mariko Gifford has been growing Moringa and making health products for more than 13 years. She began the Moringa journey as an Organic Inspector before the USDA diminished the standard. While on an inspection, she had the idea to find the most nutritious plant so the work of getting the soil right would make the work worth the effort. Strangely, Moringa is not listed in botanical libraries, herb books, garden books or other plant resources. It is not listed in the Materia Medica, the exhaustive volume listing plants and herbs. That is why it has been so important for Mariko, that she educate people about Moringa. Her website was one of the only places to get information about Moringa in the early years. Virtually every website today with Moringa information or Moringa products began by visiting her site or talking with her. Only in the last few years has Moringa begun to get world attention for its nutritional and medicinal benefits. Mariko has helped many business and hunger organizations with their Moringa projects around the world. As one of the few experts on Moringa, her input has been invaluable to continue to get the Moringa message out.
This presentation was given by Mariko Gifford on March 22, 2013 at the North County San Diego CRFG chapter meeting. For more info about our chapter and CRFG visit: nc.crfgsandiego.org/

The best avacado I have ever had in my life. I’m starting my farm now from three parent trees in Papua New Guinea. Have 700 tress planted in the last 4 months during coronavirus pandemic and waiting for seeds from the three mother trees. Hoping to reach 3000 end of the year so removing coffee trees from the land and planting avacados. Nice video always looking for avacado related videos

    I have a wild grove of Jujubes growing along my dirt road in Texas. They are not grafted. They came from the early 1900's when the parent trees were likely planted as part of the USDA promoting them during times of drought. The ones growing near me can be picked green and will redden after picked. Not sure what type they are. Very prolific producers and people drive by them daily and have no idea they are there.

      Yes and no, she also notes how often her husband helps her carry heavy stuff, loans her his old clothes for rough dirty work, and other times her husband comes in handy. So she goes back and forth about men's value I guess

      @TheVersipelis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@growyourownavocados I’ve seen healthy banter between couples, this is not it. She enjoys belittling her husband, probably because it gives her a sense of superiority, and like many females her age, she acts as if, she “settled” for him. He must have little self-respect, because his wife doesn’t even respect him enough, not to belittle him in public. If the roles were reversed, people would be mortified! “My dumb wife.” What would you think of a man, who constantly and publicly, belittles his wife?

    • @TheVersipelis
      @TheVersipelis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@portaadonai yes, his value is what he can do for her. She values him like a tool, or an ox. I guess, he is happy with the arrangement. He must be a beta, and is happy with the fact, that some female found him a useful tool. Who really settled? It sounds like, he did.

      @@growyourownavocados Well then, you must be old enough to know, there’s always a bit of truth, in any playful joking. There’s one measure of truth, I believe we can all agree upon: reverse the roles. If your honest with yourself, you would say it’s misogynistic. Some how, when she does it, it is not. Just an observation people. I pick up on human behavior. Sometimes, a little bit, tells a whole lot.

    This is a priceless video. I was exchanging email with him few years back when I learned about his Honey Jar Jujube. I wanted to get it but he didn't have at that time but told me to get in touch with him around Spring (next year). I waited a bit longer and when I contacted back, I didn't hear from him. I called and spoke to his Wife who informed he was ill and it would be a bit before he recover and go through physical therapy and all. I got side tracked again and later discovered he passed away. :( I did end up obtaining a Honey Jar from another California based nursery (so far, no fruit yet, but still growing :)
