They say the crusade was a rushed album, but that album they came up with their most craziest and experimental and intricate parts on some of the songs which sounds really good too. I mean we all know shogun was technical but I'd put Ascendancy and the crusade on the same pedestal with technicality
Really can't decide which album is number 1 for me from trivium, crusade, shogun or ascendancy, they're constantly switching places. Crusade is so SOO good.
That's because they both have an idea of how to play riffs, and solos. Unlike bands like Metallica where James' knowledge on guitar is 98% riffs and 2% solos and Kirk's knowledge is 99% solo and 1% riff. Even Megadeth, Dave Mustaine is very good with the guitar, but his solos are recycled, so his approach to a riff makes it friendly to his style of soloing. Of course Marty Friedman had no problem at all playing very unique solos and even makes use of more than 10 different modes. Lost Society is one too, their lead guitarist is the lead singer, he does all the complicated riffs and solos while his other guitarist who does nothing but play guitar just prance around and look glamorous for the fans. (seriously, he was nominated the most handsome guy in underground metal scene) He's also not even that good, he has like probably ten 15 second solos out of their two albums. Trivium is by far the only band that knows very well what they're doing on the guitars. Not only that Corey and Matt are very good at vocals. Even Matt's cleans sounds good, none of that poppy vocal shit like new metal core bands nowadays.
K Trivium= godly guitarist's no joke there riffs are awesome they should be a inspiration to u like they have been SOOO muchly to me... Thanks for Choosing guitar trivium =D
omg that's sexxxy! I love this song. It's kool how Corey is more into tech stuff like tapping sweeping and effects, but i also like how Matt plays alternate picking style.
i LOVE megadeth, its my favorite metal band, but i know if dave and matt had a guitar battle, matt would win. now if it were jeff loomis vs matt well..... thats different
that one chord at exactly 1:45 is an E minor chord in the form of a power chord. so it's basically a power chord that instead of using 3 strings uses all the strings to make it minor. i've never learned this, i figured it out, but that sounds about right.
Are you sicK? Anthem we are the fire, to the rats, Ignition, The rising, This world cant tear us apart, becoming the dragon, tread the floods, and sadness will sear & Detonation IS REALLY KICK ASS SONGS!
@MrMangoFace22 Well i can definitely admit that they r metal looking and prty cool but theyre just rly big knowing how clumsy i am it would be broken fast Does yours have the actual dimebag pickups? that would be tight i love dime?
@Masterrese How are they not getting any better? The style of the albums differentiate, perhaps you just disagree with the direction they've gone with.
when matt plays he has alot of wrist movement. and when corey plays he keeps his hands very still except when playing solos. i guess thats what makes them very diverse
The solo section is one of the greatest metal riffs created by mankind
Best and most accurate comment by mankind!
One of my favorites
I come back to this video for those 10 seconds once a week at least
Matt is an amazing rhythm player. I love his Black metal influence coming through in the riffs. Amazing.
DropdaLTDtoB totally! Especially on this album!
Sounds more like Flamenco/classical than black metal.
is the black metal the power chords with changing the 5th to make a melody?
much more overt in the detonation bridge
that chorus progression is sick, and "Riff C" is just GODLY
I love the way chorus sounds :D Trivium's crusade album is really underestimated
Damn u guys for making shogun on seven strings, I only have six!!
This is the crusade
Yo Wtf he's also not talking about crusade as this is clearly on six
also, there are two songs on Shogun that utilize 6 strings.
Daniyal Khan Insurrection and Like Callisto happen to be my two favorite songs off that album 😄
i love the switch up to that 80s melodic speed metal riff
They say the crusade was a rushed album, but that album they came up with their most craziest and experimental and intricate parts on some of the songs which sounds really good too. I mean we all know shogun was technical but I'd put Ascendancy and the crusade on the same pedestal with technicality
I wish I had a friend who I could play guitar with like these guys
I reckon they have a blast together
These lines are absolutly awesome... These guys are genius
Thank you for posting this, videos like this were a huge part of my childhood
The best song of this underrated album
Really can't decide which album is number 1 for me from trivium, crusade, shogun or ascendancy, they're constantly switching places. Crusade is so SOO good.
1:40 one of the best riffs I've heard
These guys make good use of all 6 strings, or 7, whatever the case.
That's because they both have an idea of how to play riffs, and solos. Dao Yang about lost society fucking true, man, Samy and Arttu fuckin kickass. Same about Heafy and Corey
This is one my favorite songs of all time! I love this.
Listen from 2:05-2:37 then go listen to the actual song from 1:12-1:37, It will blow your mind.
why should it blow minds?
BlackenedGaming Cause that's the only way this could blow.
Well, 5 years later and it still blows my mind.
@@MrTrackday1 The solo riff is tasty 4:18
One of favorite songs of all time.

Dean Rusinov lol you almost had me like WHAT

It's amazing how much Heafy's improved since their first album Ember To Inferno to their latest The Crusade. Pretty good for 21 or so.
Just wait until Shogun hahaha
@@localmusiclover605 lol
the syrcronization is amazing,
You guys are awesome, forever my favourite band!!! riffs are unbelievable by the way!
I think this is one of the most "metal" guitars that Matt owns
+Erik Gansevles owned, pretty sure he sold it
Why would these guys ever need to sell a guitar, lol
:::shrugs:::
+Erik Gansevles idk about this one but I know he sold his dean rising sun and gave the money to a charity.
+Erik Gansevles A Dimebag custom guitar.
dude they play in such unison, so amazing
i love playing this song on guitar you just feel like such a badass :')
To the people hating on the crusade think again it's freaking awesome!
One of the best Trivium albums, and maybe this is blasphemy but i like crusade way more then ascendency.
fuk matts solo is effortless and perfectly clean. legend
That fast riff is sick. Love it.
Trivium are very skilled metallers. Cool performance
Man matts guitar is soooo awsome!
K Trivium= godly guitarist's no joke there riffs are awesome they should be a inspiration to u like they have been SOOO muchly to me... Thanks for Choosing guitar trivium =D
The solo section is just AMAZING... So fucking epic !!!!!
lovin the mini stacks in the background
Thanks dude its about time its up. I love Corey's razorback v's their so awesome.
Amazing song awesome album
The "Dean" era of Trivium is my favorite!!!
the chorus is awesome
Corey: We're just riffing out ! (Man, that sounded a lot cooler in my head...) *Awkward face*
I love fast riff. Its what got me hooked to this song.
omg that's sexxxy! I love this song. It's kool how Corey is more into tech stuff like tapping sweeping and effects, but i also like how Matt plays alternate picking style.
i love all the tiny hand adjustments matt makes throughout the song. Corey doesnt make any...thats the sign of a good technique!
As old as this comment is, In waves Is an excellent album, the guitar work is just as exceptional and complex as any of their other albums.
Corey is just honestly a beat!!
Chris Noble
Yeah a *BEAT*
@Colton527 Agreed, Shogun was one of the best, if not the best metal album of the past decade. It was incredible.
dude this is my fav song of trivium
great guitarists, awesome band...
i LOVE megadeth, its my favorite metal band, but i know if dave and matt had a guitar battle, matt would win. now if it were jeff loomis vs matt well..... thats different
thats awsome..they are tight playin together
Live the band, love the song
You guys are the BEST!
Especially at the Solo part! _
i used to have the CD/DVD and the magazine this originally released on. i dont remember it being shot with a potato tho 🤔
Still my favourite track from Trivium.
that one chord at exactly 1:45 is an E minor chord in the form of a power chord. so it's basically a power chord that instead of using 3 strings uses all the strings to make it minor. i've never learned this, i figured it out, but that sounds about right.
Trivium has so many guitar vids
they care about that their fans can cover their songs ^^
awsoem, thanks for uploading this :)
Trivium are the most talented thrash band around atm in my opinion
I watched this the month it came out lol
they both are guitar shredders
Dat intro riff is soo juicy
he was amazing
Gotta love the "RIFFC"!
the guitar on the right is amazing looking
@Eleutherarch I very much agree my man, hopefully they go back to it in the upcoming years
Riff C, the fucking best headbanging riff in entrance of the conflagration (:
Are you sicK?
Anthem we are the fire, to the rats, Ignition, The rising, This world cant tear us apart, becoming the dragon, tread the floods, and sadness will sear & Detonation IS REALLY KICK ASS SONGS!
i saw them like few weeks ago and corey still played with dean through most of the set :D
he used jackson king v on the second album songs
Such an underrated song
this is my favorite song of The Crusade
wow that was pretty awesome to watch
I just looked it up. Great song!
i love the solo section riff
Sounds sweet!
Even though I don't care much for trivium I've got to admit that those two are fucking awesome guitarists
Matt: "Alright, now this is the fast part to Entrance."
Me: "Right, because none of those riffs you previously played were fast. 😂"
Where is their video about tone? I'm working on changing my tone and need as much help as I can
thanks!
@herda5 theres harmonising in the first riff
jw are those marshal minis in the back there or full stacks that are like a football feild away?
@MrMangoFace22 Well i can definitely admit that they r metal looking and prty cool but theyre just rly big knowing how clumsy i am it would be broken fast
Does yours have the actual dimebag pickups? that would be tight i love dime?
any idea how much one of coreys guitars whould cost it looks awsome and because its so small it probly easyer to handle while just practicing
@Masterrese
How are they not getting any better?
The style of the albums differentiate, perhaps you just disagree with the direction they've gone with.
I don't really like this sorta stuff but I don't see why people give theses guys shit, This is quite awesome!
Okay! They showed the whole song, No excuse for not knowing!! Looks like I have to practice!!!
that "riff C" is pretty freakin cool.
@METALLICADDICT1993 they are both coming out next january after the namm show
someone tell me what type of guitar strap he use?
are those marshall micro stacks in the background? I have one of them.
Love how the ones who talk shit don't have anything bad to say about the playing. But Matt killed it on the solo.
They both have signature Deans, don't know if they sell them anymore though.
man trivium kicks so much ass it's insane
the chorus riff is soo fucking catchy man XED!!!!
Anyone know what guitar straps these are?
diggin the big ass headstocks on them deans!
their hands look like they're combined, they're movin like the EXACT same time exact same way.
how awsom those dime models !!!!!
@ipslonmen E standard. The Crusade is in standard.
@METALLICADDICT1993 You probably knew already but Corey already has a sample (can't think of the proper word for it) of his jackson.
@85Aheadstix heafy's first album was put out when he was 17 :3
when matt plays he has alot of wrist movement.
and when corey plays he keeps his hands very still except when playing solos.
i guess thats what makes them very diverse
@10strein it's because all the trivium's albums are damn good :)
Yea, I would like to see you play those solos.
Or do you mean that all their songs are so difficult that it makes this one easy?
they have my respect..
2 of the best guitarists in the world!
and coreys guitar is £799
